You know as well as I, that the Muse can b*tch herself blue about Sephora makeup being mediocre at best. But you have to give them credit where credit is due. For example take a peep at their latest palette:
With the recent release of the Sephora Moroccan Sunrise Palette I do so admit to being quite excited. I didn’t indulge simply because many of the colors were in my beauty library already but I’m girl enough to admit that the palette was rather good looking to say the very least.
Embracing the same concept Sephora has now introduced a second palette along the same lines entitled Calypso Soul. Now the palette is of course part of the normal drum up to introduce new makeup bags, brushes, etc….but it’s also quite obviously the star of the collection. Made of heavy metal with a pretty design and beautiful hues of the ocean this palette undoubtedly tempts. I can hear the siren’s call of, “buy me Muse, buy me….” so much so that now I’m considering getting the Moroccan Sunrise one too!
For shame Sephora you’re evil for making me give into your lure.
Good job Sephora.
Keep ‘em coming like this and you might shut me up in the future about how bad your makeup line is.
It’s getting to be that special time of the year kids. Tans, beaches, swimming, humid nights, and long, warm days are ahead! Start getting your Summer on now with Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraīche Skinscent.
This is my first run in with the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess fragrance line up. Although it’s been released from year to year, the Muse somehow missed it’s amazing scent. Now that she’s hooked she’ll def be making it part of her Summer must have selections!
With a sensuous blend of bergamot and mandarin this scent engulfs you in it’s warm heat and makes you think of the hot beach with the scent of tanning oil in the air. Rounded up with hints of coconut, gardenia, amber, and sandalwood the fragrance toys with you nose and captures the true essence of what Summer is all about, heat, warmth, and the boiling sun!
Freaking loves it!
The bottle is 3.4 oz in size and $52 USD. It’s an Eau Fraīche which makes it considerably lighter wear than a typical EDT or EDP but that doesn’t keep it from having a good throw and a nice long linger especially in the warmer weather, seems as my body chemistry rises the scent intensifies into a unique fragrance experience.
The Muse thinks Summer is starting off on the right foot with Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraīche Skinscent in her fragrance arsenal! She’s ready for the warm weather, bring it!
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraīche Skinscent is Muse Approved for purchase. Get some, I think you’ll loves it as much as I do.
The Muse isn’t known for getting too excited about bronzey collections. The paler her skin stays the better! However, she does so admit to rolling around in fits of excitement when she seen the Giorgio Armani Bronze Mania Collection!
Mania indeed! The Muse can enjoy this type of mania.
A fitting combination of cool ocean blues paired with beautiful tanned skin awaits you with the brand new, limited edition Giorgio Armani Mediterranean Eyeshadow Palette. Four shades of shimmering shadows plus Giorgio Armani most popular bronzer shade make up this incredible Summer palette. Loves it!
Giorgio Armani Sienna Minerals Bronzing Palette already knows it’s gorgeous but the Muse deems it necessary to remind it how pretty it is, “darling, you’re stunning!” (it’s been known to reply…”yes, I know!”) Swirls of sienna red and sandy copper make up an all over blush for a golden bronze glow! The Muse thinks it’s incredible and thinks she might needs it!
Giorgio Armani Bronze Mania Body Tints Bronzer is a weightless, pigment-free formula for a universal natural bronze shade leaves your skin with the kiss of the sun! I can’t get on board with a gel bronzer but sounds like something that could be interesting.
Finish your Summer look with Giorgio Armani Sparkling Bronze Mascara Topcoat. The topcoat leaves lashes with luminous sparkling bronze. Pretties we like sparkle don’t we?
Overall, the collection looks stunning. These are the days the Muse wishes she was a millionaire so she can buy two of everything for now she’s definitely leaning towards the Giorgio Armani Sienna Minerals Bronzing Palette! It looks incredibly pretty. Must haves, like now!
If you’re looking for cheap, who isn’t nowadays? Check out the new mark Summer Collection for 2009 entitled Exotics.
Introducing new mark Lip Exotics Lip Lacquer Hook Up for $6 each available in five shades. These are a conditioning, high shine close with a cool spearmint flavor and a pigmented color payoff!
Kinda looks like MAC lip lacquers but way cheaper. I can get on board with these for sure. They were the first thing that caught my eye from this collection and possibly the best item available.
Also releasing are two mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush Custom Color blushes in two new shades. These are $7 each and do not come with a palette, they are part of the custom color system so you’d have to buy a palette separate to stick them in. Although pretty they hold little appeal for me.
And finally mark Eye Exotics Eye Shadow Trio which contains three shades of shadow for wearing alone or combined. Again, not so thrilling and kinda reminds me of the Avon Marimekko palette I reviewed a few months ago, which was much nicer by the very way. I could get excited about this if they had more than one shade selection available, all that blue does little to excite me.
Not much of excitement here although the blush and the lip lacquers hold my interest (particularly the lippies). If you’re looking for a few budget friendly makeup options of Summer you may want to take a peep.
