Summer Collections 2013
I wasn’t completely sold on Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee Blush when I was testing it. But the more I tested this little gel blush the more I started to love it.
These are an interesting formula that’s one part gel, one part stain, and all glowing color. I thought they might be a product similar to Korres Cheek Butter which I disliked due to the dewy finish but actually they turned into something FAR, far bettter.

As I’m busy exploring CC Creams this Summer I was excited by L’Oreal Visible Lift CC Cream as it was easy enough to get in drugstores here in the US. It recently launched and I came across it for $10.49 at Harmons and I instantly snatched up both shades available.
I suspect it’ll be considerably higher priced at CVS, Walgreens, etc…so it sure is helpful that I’m here to tell you how BADLY the formula turned out.
Ugh! Do not buy!

Has MAC been doing an overload of Summer Collections this year or what?!

Etude House Bling in the Sea is yet another Summer 2013 Collection that recently launched in Korea. I thought the Color Pop Collection would be the last of what we’d see from Etude House until at the least July but they are on a roll with collections lately.
Sulli looks very fresh in the promo images!
I’m looking forward to a few pieces in this collection.

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer aka Apocalips Lip Lacquer as they are referred to in the UK are now available in US drugstores. Show Off Lip Lacquer is available in a range of fourteen shades and is a liquid lipstick slash gloss with full color coverage.
These are an exciting release as it seems like we’ve been literally awaiting their arrival on US shores for ages now. We also happened to get a bigger range of shades as the UK release only has eight colors available.
These are in special displays at the moment but they will become part of the Rimmel general catalog display later this Fall.
Let’s take a look!

Thanks to my makeup sis Christine for not allowing me to give up on Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick. Revlon recently reintroduced Super Lustrous Lipstick with a shine finish for Summer 2013/Fall 2013 in a range of new shades.
This newly reformulated lipstick now has a shiny finish however, some of the shades didn’t appeal to me so I casually slipped past them more than once at the drugstore. My reader and friend Christine mentioned how incredible they were and how there was indeed a coral I’d probably love and how I should try them and well, needless to say, she was convincing.
Unfortunately the coral was sold out but I did pick up Terra Copper which also happens to be a very me shade.
Here are my thoughts!

I got some of the goodies from the Sephora Disney Ariel Collection yesterday. Sephora’s latest Disney Collection featuring The Little Mermaid herself, Ariel, is quite adorable. I was excited to get a sneak peek post up as soon as I could.
I thought Sephora would go a little too aquatic with this selection but they combined shades of the ocean along with some very pretty warmer, sunset shades as well which makes it the perfect combination of warm and cool.
I think Sephora did a fairly good job with the promotional images on the palette as the shades look very similar to what you see in those images. I heard a few complaints about the art work on the boxes and palette but I can’t say I’m disappointed. I think it’s a very elegant depiction of Ariel. It just feels grown up and not like a child’s makeup or toy of some sort.
So far, after a brief sniff, I think the fragrance is probably my favorite of all the three princesses Sephora has featured thus far too!
