I have piles of work on my desk so I’m kinda slow replying to comments today and getting posts up! I have a crumb load of posts that have already been written but I normally don’t schedule them to post until I’ve edited, re-read, and added images and links in! Expect them soon though! As I work I’m having my geeky moment by jamming out to the theme song from My Lovely Sam Soon, I’m so feeling that song today!
The reason why I sing now and I feel so fine………………! Yeah well I doubt you want to hear the Muse sing. It’s much like the sound of cat’s screeching only twice as bad.
I wanted to update quickly and let you know further info about the new Bobbi Brown Party Collection that I discussed yesterday!
I thought that the shadows were old colors but re-pimped in a new collection however I should have known better as they are actually new! Yay! Exciting!
I have my eye on Glitz and Pink Chandelier! Very pretties!
Here’s a chart for the shades being released in both the Bobbi Brown Metallic Eye Shadow and Brand New Bobbi Brown Glitter Lip Gloss!

Clickie here for the original post and details about the Bobbi Brown Party Collection!
This collection will be available as of November from Bobbi Brown but you can get it now from Nordies if you can’t wait for it!
A bit more Bobbi Brown Holiday with her new collection that’s launched on Nordstrom this week entitled Party Collection!
The collection is re-pimping Bobbi Brown Metallic Eyeshadow out and from what I could see none of the shades are new however if you haven’t already indulged I highly suggest you do as I have a few shades and absolutely love ‘em!
The item that really caught my eye is the new, limited edition Bobbi Brown Glitter Gloss.
Behold:
Is that pretty or what? Nice right? Each gloss is $19 USD each and available in six shades which include:
Disco Pink
Rave (Shown Above)
Ball
Martini
Soiree Pink
Velvet Rope
Considering how many metallic shadows I’ve collected so far I should really start indulging in one of the empty four pan palettes for $10 USD!
If you’re wanting a bit of a sparkling look for the Holidays you may want to check some of these items out! I know I have my eye on the Bobbi Brown Glitter Lip Gloss in Rave and Velvet Rope!
Those crazy kids at Nordstrom have released an Exclusive Kit for MAC Holiday 2008 entitled Enchanting Vermillion Fashion Eye Kit.
Last year Nordies did much of the same the name of which escapes the Muse at the moment (getting old sucks!):
Last Year’s Collection
This year’s kit includes the following items:
Red Zip Around Wallet MAC False Lashes MAC Fluidline (Full Size) MAC Glitter Liner in Glitter Gold MAC Zoom Lash (Mini Size) MAC 209 SE Brush
The Muse already owns MAC Glitter Liner in Glitter Gold so she was kind enough to gift you with swatches below! I’m such a sport right?
The kit looks nice but I personally won’t be indulging as aside from the glitter liner nothing else in the set is worth looking at in my humble opinion.
The MAC Enchanting Vermillion Fashion Eye Kit is exclusive to Nordies for $45 USD so if you’re wanting it you’ll need to skip your way over to your local Nordstrom or head to the website to make your donation to MAC.
This morning I decided to crack open my MAC lip palette in Devoted Poppy from the new MAC Passions of Red Collection and do a little Face of the Day with it!
I dare do say that this is the first time I’ve purchased a lip palette from MAC or anywhere else to be honest. My downward spiral into the uncharted waters of lip palettes occurred when I recently purchased and fell in love the the lip palette from Bobbi Brown’s Pink Satin Collection.
I now have in my collection two lips palettes! I’m such a wild and crazy Muse aren’t I? Who knew I’d LIKE lip palettes!
I always avoid lip palettes as I feel they are messy as hell and yes the fact still remains they are kinda messy however MAC Devoted Poppy is so pretty that I couldn’t resist the allure of the peachy, warm shades and beautiful, shiny gem encrusted compact!
the Muse likey!
Devoted Poppy includes two lipsticks in Devoted and Softtalk and one gloss in Transparent Love. Combining the shades will create an endless array of different looks or using each shade individually will get you three seperate looks.
Although my swatches are quite sheer, rest assured that the colors included are quite pigmented. Devoted is a true orange shade while Softtalk is more of a burnt orange. Transparent Love is a transparent beige shade which lends a nice glossy layer to either of the two lipstick shades.
To create my look below I used a wash of Softtalk and a heavy layer of Transparent Love. I also used the new Jill Stuart Illuminance Palette in Brocade Gold from Fall Collection 2008.
For my second look I combined the two lipstick shades and topped with a soft layer of the gloss! When combined the colors give a pigmented burned orange look which is quite nice for a Fall look!
All in all I was quite pleased with the MAC Devoted Poppy Lip Palette and I’ve been considering indulging in the other two as I really like the looks of them. I actually feel some guilt that I haven’t indulged in any past lip palettes that MAC has put out now! Damn!
But ado at least now I’ve paved the way for a new addiction! Lip palettes here I come!
I told you earlier about the Smashbox Enchantress Beauty Kit kit but I didn’t have any images for it!
Sad sigh!
However, good news, the Smashbox site has been updated with more of Rapture Collection! The item that really had me curious was the Enchantress Gift Set and it doesn’t disappoint from what I’ve seen so far!
The set includes: Smashbox Soft Lights Quad in Aglow Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Protege Smashbox That’s A Wrap Mascara Smashbox Cream Eye Liner Duo in Caviar and Midnight Brown Pewter Gray Zip Up Makeup Case
and finally the item that really caught my eye…The Silver Pedant Necklace on a Triple Strand Chain.
The necklace looks quite nice actually and I thought it was rather interesting and unique to include it with this collection!
