I recently purchased Yves Rocher Pink Grapefruit Vitamin Face Mist ($5) because you know I don’t have nearly ENOUGH facial mist in my life. Yeah, so if it was a toss up between facial mists and hand soaps I’d have to say I hoarded both like they are never going to be made again.
One of my skincare staples is facial mist! I love really hydrating mists to prep my skin for my other skincare. I don’t typically set with facial mists but I do use them to prep my skin so after a shower I’m misting away or in the evening after removing my makeup the first thing I do after a cleanse is mist.
Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Makeup Setting Spray ($6) is a new permanent makeup setting spray that launched with the Hard Candy Spring/Summer 2015 Collection.
Makeup setting sprays at the drugstore are a trending at the moment as L’Oreal released Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray a short time ago for Spring 2015.
I’m a not a huge, huge lover of setting sprays. I love facial mists with a passion but actually setting my makeup with a mist kinda freaks me out. It makes me feel like I spent a ton of time on my makeup and I’m proceeding to mist myself with water right after. It’s a weird concept to me! But none the less they are very, very popular and makeup lovers adore them so I’m always willing to give them a try and see if they work for me.
Up until now I’m not a huge fan but maybe, just maybe Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Makeup Setting Spray could change my mind.
Mizon Essence Mist Twilight Facial Mist is a a gel formula that softens and hydrates skin with peptides and dragon blood. Essence Mist Twilight launched a bit ago in Korea along with a gel and regular moisturizer. Basically it was kinda a nod to Twilight as you can see from the blood red packaging and cute little bats.
No worries, this facial mist won’t make you sparkle like Edward though!
Pixi Glow Mist ($15) is a new permanent facial mist that Pixi launched for the Spring 2015 season. As a Pixi Glow Tonic addict I admit I got all excited at the prospect of a facial mist!
Take a look!
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water ($32) is a new and interesting facial mist that launched for Spring 2015. Smashbox created their primer water with a silicone, oil, and alcohol-free formula that’s apparently packed with electrolytes to restore moisture.
According to them it’s like an energy drink for your skin and provides lasting moisture.
So you know, I’m a total facial mist h0r. I love them. I use them in the Summer after my shower to refresh my face and add moisture, I use at night prior to my skincare regime, I use them in the Winter before any skincare or makeup to allow my skincare to absorb more easily…! I love them!
However, Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water, vastly overpriced facial mist option in my humblest.
