Philosophy Just Release Me is Philosophy new dual-phase eye makeup remover. Looking like Lancome Bi-Facil here a bit aren’t we?

I couldn’t be more excited about this but I am slightly put off about the price. The bottle is 6oz in size which is very generous and $18. Honestly, I’m terribly cheap when it comes to eye makeup removers so the idea of spending more than $10 on one doesn’t appeal no matter how good it is.

I absolutely adore Lancome Bi-Facil but for the very reason I mentioned above I don’t indulge sadly. The good news is Philosophy is consderably cheaper and a larger size compared to Lancome but still…I do find myself second guessing the idea of shelling out $18!

No matter…I’m still quite excited and look forward to trying it. You can actually try a 1oz size early from Sephora by entering promo code RELEASEME. The Muse will do just that and she’ll cry later on when it’s all gone and she’s not willing to purchase that second bottle.

As for me? I remain hopeful QVC will come at me with some super size version of this on easy pay so I don’t feel like I’m overindulging!

What do you think?

Willing to dish out $18 bucks?

I’m in lust with this stuff.

It’s $12 bucks for a big old bottle and simply grand for warm, humid days. It feels nice and cool on my face and it’s ideal for ditching my regular facial cream for. The formula is a very light, runny gel which absorbs into skin easily without being tacky or sticky. The lack of alcohol is a great treat as alcohol bases are legendary for drying skin out.

Jane Iredale D2O Hydration Spray Review

Jane+Iredale+D2O+Hydration+Spray+001

I’m on this kick lately for moisturizing toner mists. I think it’s the warm weather but I just feel the need to forgo moisturizer in the morning in favor of a mist down with a hydrating toner that acts in the place of my normal lotions and potions. Recently my obssession with misting toners has turned to the likes of Jane Iredale D2O Hydration Spray.

Jump ahead to hear what I think!

Incredible! I love this stuff.

First off the bad news.

It’s 2oz in size and $17.50 ouchie. Wish it was a little bigger for the price but no worries I’ll totally repurchase when I’m done with my 2oz bottle as it’s darn good stuff.

Jane Iredale D20 Hydration Spray contains a blend of chamomile and myrrh to sooth and refresh skin. The mist is scented with Ylang Ylang which gives off a heavy herbal scent, quite pleasant. You can use the mist in any number of ways such as in the place of facial moisturizer, or for setting mineral makeup, to hydrate skin on the fly, or oily skin users can indulge in this as a primary moisturizer thus avoiding richer face creams.

About 2-3 mists is all you need as the sprayer doses face very nicely with product. It has a slightly glycerin-like feel but dries down to a dewy, fresh finish. It’s since taken the place of my normal facial cream for Summer. I doubt I’ll be able to get away with it once Winter sets in but at the moment it’s just perfect for spraying down with for moisturizing and hydrating my skin.

You’ll like this if:

  • Your skin isn’t too dry at the moment and you aren’t in need of a heavy facial moisturizer
  • Your skin is oily and you’d like a tool for hydrating your face without over doing it
  • You want a cooling mist to set mineral or powder foundations.
  • You want to have a toner on hand for hydrating your skin throughout the day without having to redo makeup

Overall, Jane Iredale D20 Hydration Spray is a real winner. I’m loving this for Summer easy, fuss free moisture in the heat.

Jurlique Lavender Hydrating Mist Review

Remember Soul Glo?

I dunno why but Jurlique translated as Jheri Curl for me thus Soul Glow came to mind….weirdness.

Anyway.

Even though my mind is morphing the name Jurlique I will say that I’m pretty impressed with the Jurlique Hydrating Mist I recently tried out and no worries it’s not meant for the hair so if you’re needing to tame your jheri curls best get some Soul Glo!

Click ahead for the rave!

Jurlique Hydrating Mist is available in four formulas which pretty much covers all face types. We got Chamomile for the sensitivity types, Citrus for oily girls, Lavender for flaky, dry folks like myself, and Rosewater to balance skin and maintain it.

I tried Jurlique Lavender Hydrating Mist as it’s the best fit for my dry skin. I’m absolutely in love with this mist and would change one minor thing about it. Let me get to the review than I’ll tell you about the change I’d like.

The mist is probably one of the best ones I’ve tried in my travels. It’s cooling, very moisturizing, and my skin absolutely loves it. It does have a heavy lavender herbal scent that I find lovely but if you’re sensitive to scent this may be a slight turn off. The mist is housed in an elegant frosted glass jar and the atomizer delivers a very nice burst of mist to the face. The atomizer on the bottle saturates the face big time, I haven’t run across such a nice sprayer like this on a toner before.

After use my skin is very nicely moisturized and I can skip using my normal facial lotion as well. Since it’s Summer it’s easy enough to skip moisturizer and just use this to get the moisture I need. Needless to say I probably can’t get away with this in the Winter but right now it’s ideal for misting on my face, giving a suitable time for dry down, and proceeding to follow up with my makeup application.

As much as I adore the product I’m not thrilled with the fact it’s only 1oz and $21. Eep! I wish they’d consider a larger bottle for the price considering the mist gets used up very quickly at this size.

Overall, Jurlique Hydrating Mist is a winner for me. I’d definitely purchase again but I hate having to be cautious how and when I use it due to it’s tiny size. As I can’t shell out $21 every two weeks for a 1oz size because I’ve run out so quickly. With this in mind I’ll be using the mist maybe once or twice a week.

If you’re looking for a little extra moisture or just want a mist that will hydrate and moisturize your face taking the place of your normal lotions and potions during the hot Summer this is an ideal product. As Winter approaches your skin will also be quite happy for the added moisture the mist provides.

Loving the product but not the size and price. Please Jurlique can we have a bigger size?

Anyone try?
