St. Ives Fresh Hydration Continuous Mist Lotions ($5.99-$7.99 at drugstores) are a newly launched lotion mist from the brand that takes the heavy out of your moisturizer. I happen to be very diligent about my facial care but when it comes to caring for my body I’m a little lazier. I dislike heavy body cream and moisturizers because they either feel too sticky or they make me glide when I walk (seriously, things can be a little too moisturizing sometimes)!
But a lightweight mist that hydrates? Cool!
We were up at stupid o’clock on Saturday to hit up the orchards and do some apple picking. The orchard is a two hour drive away so at the butt crack of dawn we were on the road and a little exhausted by the time 11ish rolled around but at least we had apples to last us through the zombie apocalypse.
Actually, crazy but true, I make apple butter. I burn boiling water but one thing I can make is damn good apple butter!
Needless to say we were hungry after our adventures so we hit up Cracker Barrel which is a novelty in itself since we don’t really have it around our area. I absolutely adore the fact that Cracker Barrel has a little country store right in the waiting area. So even if you’re starving and feeling like you’re about to die if you don’t get some waffles and eggs in your stomach immediately you won’t mind the long wait for a table on a busy Saturday morning because you’ll be wandering aimlessly around their little store as you wait for your table! They have cute little bits and bobs, old time candy (holler at me peanut chews), and really unique little finds even beauty ones in some cases.
Which brings me to my purchase of Dionis Peppermint Hand Cream!
Dior Diorific Vernis Nail Polish ($26) returns for Holiday 2013 in two new limited edition shades released with the Dior Holiday 2013 Collection. One of which is the stunning Minuit. Have I ever told you of my slight obsession with golden grape shades?
Dior Diorific Minuit Vernis Nail Polish is the perfect golden sparkling plummy grape!
It’s rather delicious.

Hey nail girls the OPI Pack the Essential Case for Holiday 2013 ($49) is rather darling. How about I haul it and you can have the nail polishes and I’ll take the train case?
I really dig the train case.
The Boscia Konjac Cleansing Sponge ($18) recently launched and I couldn’t be happier as it has made me a double cleanser lover. I have a few Konjac Sponges, they aren’t really a new beauty epidemic however, Boscia will likely make them a more wide spread phenomenon here in the US for those that aren’t terribly familiar with Asian beauty tools and products.
As much as I’d like to be a double cleaning person I’m not. When I get home at the end of the night I typically remove my eye makeup with an oil based eye makeup remover and proceed to follow up with a cleansing oil. Occasionally if I have the time I do a double cleanse. Double cleanses consist of cleansing first with a cleansing oil and following up with a lathering cleanser or foaming cleanser of some sort.
Konjac Sponges kinda make you a believer of double cleansing because they are great gentle exfoliating sponge that really get your face super squeaky clean.
