Etude House Cookie Class Play Color Eyes Mini Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
5 stars out of 5

Etude House Cookie Class Play Color Eyes Mini is one of four new 6-Pan Eyeshadow Palettes that launched a few months ago in Korea. Etude House typically releases Play Color Eyes Minis during the Holidays so it’s kind of a surprise to have them release not one but four permanent ones.

Of course, I had to buy all four of them because oh my god so cute. Who doesn’t want an eyeshadow palette called Cookie Class right? This past Fall, I really put a lot of effort into my baking skills. You know me, I simply don’t cook! I could hurt myself or someone else if I try! But I was very adult when Fall settled in last year and I was making thumb print cookies and brownies with the best of ’em! Granted, they aren’t they aren’t holding a spot for on the Great British Baking Show just yet but I’m working on it.

Cookie Class contains six shades that Etude House likens to freshly baked cookie brown colors. Basically that translates as they are a selection of brown nudes and naturals! Just my shade range of choice.

Here’s a look at the palette with swatches and my review. THIS POST WILL BE UPDATED WITH SWATCH PHOTOS.

Bath and Body Works Boardwalk Taffy Hand Cream Really Does Exist

5 stars out of 5

If it’s safe in your area and stores you need to go find Bath and Body Works Boardwalk Taffy Hand Cream because it really does exist. First off, Boardwalk Taffy hit the clearance rack! As of yesterday it is 50% online with the Fragrance Mist and Shower Gel being the only options available. I imagine it is on sale in store too! You might want to stock up before it disappears and makes way for Bath and Body Works Fall 2020.

Secondly, did you know Bath and Body Works Boardwalk Taffy Hand Cream exists? A reader mentioned it in my comments and I didn’t believe it as I never saw it pop up in store plus I wasn’t really up for venturing into stores as when they re-opened lines were long due to the sucky Semi-Annual Sale had started.

When I finally did have a chance to venture into two different stores there was not a Boardwalk Taffy Hand Cream to be found and when I asked the SAs they looked at me like I had grown two horns. They didn’t know what I was talking about.

So, I asked an expert….!

Good Morning friends! There’s been a new Sephora Give Me Some Shine Balm and Gloss Lip Set available for Summer 2020!

How’s your week been? Need a little retail therapy? Mine has been swamped! I wouldn’t mind buying myself a little something pretty to relieve the stress of the work week 🙂

This new set contains five full size lip balms and glosses two of which are full-size!

  • Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in FU$$Y (Full-Size)
  • NARS Afterglow Lip Balm (Full-Size)

Clarisonic Going Out of Business As of September 30th

It’s time to say goodbye to Clarisonic as they are going out of business as of September 30th, 2020. After nearly ten years Clarisonic is closing up shop and calling it a day. The entire site is 50% off and Ulta also has items on sale but most are already sold out. Sephora is also completely cleaned out.

This is pretty sad day for a number of reasons! One of the saddest factors is that your Clarisonic, if you own one, will now be useless if you can’t purchase replacement brushes. It would have been nice if they still offered brushes but maybe not devices but nope, they are completely out of business so your machine will be rendered useless once you deplete your current selection of brush heads. Now is a good time to stock up on your favorite brush heads if you can find them as they are going pretty fast so you can extend the use of your device for as long as you can. I think some good news is you’ll likely be able to find replacement brush heads on the secondary market well after Clarisonic is gone but they may be expensive and at some point that stash will be depleted as well. Kind of sucks that any Clarisonic devices you own will be paperweights once brush heads run out!

Clarisonic posted on their Instagram the following statement:

“After more than a decade of game-changing innovation and industry-leading technology, the Clarisonic brand will be shutting down as of September 30, 2020, We want to thank all of our loyal customers, dermatologists and partners who have helped put this brand on the map. It has been our absolute pleasure to serve you all of these years.”

If you’re wondering if this is related to COVID it appears not as Clarisonic shared on their website that L’Oreal wanted to focus more on its other core business offerings and I guess Clarisonic wasn’t of priority. Personally, I think it could be related to the pandemic as many brands are struggling hard right now. And if we’re honest, L’Oreal has been spending incredible amounts of cash snatching up a variety of brands. Example? A whopping 1.2 Billion on It Cosmetics!

It’s a pretty sad day for fans of the device.

Are you upset about Clarisonic going out of business?
