Things to covet today, the new Elizabeth Arden Sunkissed Pearls Makeup Collection for Spring 2015 that’s available now for a limited time.
The Sunkissed Pearls Collection brings together subtle iridescent tints with fresh, aquatic shades. The collection focuses on beautifully bronzed cheek with natural highlighter, soft washes of blue for eyes, and pops of glossy, bright color on lips.
For me it’s the quintessential Spring color collection.
Have a look!
You ever have one of those days when the world is crumbling around you, fire is raining down upon your head, and hell has surely frozen over? Let me tell ya, that’s a rarity for me. I’m just that type of girl that never has bad days but I’ve been just having a hell of a month and today, ugh today, I need a hug please, like ASAP. I laugh and smile my way through life about 364 days of the year but I’m stressed to the point I’m about to burst today! Phew!
Someone tweeted me today, thanks K, that I should go buy some makeup or a new fragrance. Ahh blessed retail therapy! It’s NOT a fix but it sure does help sometimes.
So, tell me, do you sometimes indulge in a little beauty to make yourself feel better after a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day?
Or perhaps you feel like it’s dangerous to indulge when you’re not feeling bad because you fear overspending?
Do treat your bad days to a little beauty retail?
I do and don’t. If I’m having a bad day, like today, I’m actually not even in the mood to shop! But sometimes, like, TMI ahead, if I’m PMisng, I do indulge in a little retail therapy because lord knows new lipstick takes your mind off cramps like a double dose of Midol!
It’s a funny thing! As obsessed as I am with makeup, beauty, etc..it’s weird to be like “OMG please I DO NOT NEED makeup in my life right now!” I tend to just shut myself off when I’m stressed or feeling bad and beauty is not going to solve my issues at all!
So I guess it depends.
Tell me when and if you practice retail therapy!
Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Makeup Setting Spray ($6) is a new permanent makeup setting spray that launched with the Hard Candy Spring/Summer 2015 Collection.
Makeup setting sprays at the drugstore are a trending at the moment as L’Oreal released Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray a short time ago for Spring 2015.
I’m a not a huge, huge lover of setting sprays. I love facial mists with a passion but actually setting my makeup with a mist kinda freaks me out. It makes me feel like I spent a ton of time on my makeup and I’m proceeding to mist myself with water right after. It’s a weird concept to me! But none the less they are very, very popular and makeup lovers adore them so I’m always willing to give them a try and see if they work for me.
Up until now I’m not a huge fan but maybe, just maybe Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Makeup Setting Spray could change my mind.
Revlon Sandstorm Super Lustrous Lipgloss is a new shade that recently launched with the Revlon the Sahara Escape Spring 2015 Collection. If the name sounds familiar that’s probably because Sandstorm Super Lustrous Lipstick is one of the five shades that launched with the Revlon The Legacy Super Lustrous Lipstick Collection last year.
For me the two shades are dramatically different so I’m curious why they did a gloss of the same name if it wasn’t quite matching with the original lipstick shade that is smoldering bronze-y color. I think perhaps they thought this might look good on time of the darker shade of the lipstick color perhaps?
Let’s take a look and see what the scoop is!
