It Cosmetics Heavenly Skin 2-In-1 Tap & Smooth Brush for Those Who Can’t Apply Eye Cream Without a Little Help

Heavenly Skin 2-In-1 Tap & Smooth Brush #706 is a new It Cosmetics Brush being added to the It Brushes for Ulta Collection that might make applying eye cream a little easier for you! It Cosmetics calls it revolutionary but I probably wouldn’t go that far.

The dual-sided brush or tool if you will has a handcrafted aventurine stone which is a form of quartz. You’re likely pretty familiar with jade rollers and this seems like the same idea. The stone can be used in conjunction with your eye cream to gently massage the eye area as it helps smooth in eye cream while providing a cooling sensational. This might help with puffiness. The second side contains a shorter brush that can be used to swipe on eye cream and you can follow up by patting into place or using the stone to gently massage the cream into place.

It’s $15 which makes it tempting enough to try but possibly an unnecessary addition to your collection of brushes as we all have health fingers that can pat your eye creams on just as easily. But you might find the brush a little more hygienic to use and the cooling stone might tempt puffy eye users!

What do you think of the It Cosmetics Heavenly Skin 2-In-1 Tap & Smooth Brush?

Worth trying or are your fingers getting the job done just fine?

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Cheek to Chic Blusher Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
4 stars out of 5

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Cheek to Chic Blusher ($40) is probably one of thee most perfect blush shades for people like me that tend to overdue their blush or apply with too heavy a hand. When I first purchased this many months ago I remember being pretty disappointed as I expected a brown-based pink but in the pan this shade looks like mud! It’s really misrepresented in promo images and the shade is a heck of a lot darker than it appears in those photos!

After trying it I changed my mind!

Revlon ColorStay Looks Book Eyeshadow Palette Appear to Take On a Slurry Formula

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Revlon ColorStay Looks Book Eyeshadow Palette ($9.99) have launched in five shade selections. Each of these eyeshadow palettes holds eight shades each and come in a range of matte, metallic, and shimmer finishes with a “highly pigmented” formula according to the brand. Each palette offers a way to change your look and mood with different personality inspired shades!

Shades:

  • Original: Be true to you, original. you’re the first of your crew to try something new, the beauty boss with an authentic sense of style.
  • Player: Stardom starts here, player. show off your irresistible charm and powerful presence with supercharged shades.
  • Enigma: Leave them on the edge of their seats, enigma. Your unexpected looks and mysterious moves allure a crowd.
  • Maverick: Stand up and stand out, maverick. You’re a rebel with a cause who shines in one of a kind color.
  • Insider: Set the trend, insider. Show your impeccable taste and undeniable influence with this chic, matte palette.

The promo images hint that maybe these eyeshadows will have a slurry texture which seems the gold standard eyeshadow texture and formula of choice in the drugstore world lately. And I’m quite alright with that as I’m a long time fan of Japanese drugstore brands which tend to embrace the formula as well. The slurry texture refers to the soft, velvety texture that feels like a cream slash powder consistency. Not everyone loves this texture but I’m a rather big fan. We’ve seen it a lot in a variety of different palettes lately from Covergirl, Maybelline, and L’Oreal.

I’m glad Revlon might be moving on to such a texture considering their current eyeshadow palette formula is horrid. The formula in the Not Just Nudes Eyeshadow Palette was incredibly dry and just horrible. I’m hoping I’m right about the Colorstay Looks Book Eyeshadow Palettes as they look lovely!

Revlon ColorStay Looks Book Eyeshadow Palette are available now!

Revlon PhotoReady Instant Cheek Maker for Spring 2019

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Revlon PhotoReady Instant Cheek Maker ($11.99) is the a new 2-in-1 blush and highlighter stick and possibly the next big gimmick to enter your beauty life that could potentially work! So, when I saw the promo image for this I was like, “Wait, what?”

If you don’t read the description you’ll probably stare at it a sec and think, is that a brush? What’s going on there? I know it took me a second to realize it was a cream blush/highlighter stick. The ergonomic shape is slightly misleading as it looks like a brush but in reality it’s a cream stick that’s shaped in a way to fit the contour of your cheek and give you that perfect blushed and highlighted look!

Who has thoughts of LOreal The One Sweep Eyeshadow? This just totally had me going back! Must be the “transform your look in one easy swipe” marketing!

I’m willing to try them as I do so love a glistening blush so at the very least maybe I can get a nice glowy look from Revlon Photoready Instant Cheek Maker.

Revlon launched these in three shade selections and they are starting to pop online for sale and should be available soon in stores too one would hope!

What do you think of Revlon PhotoReady Instant Cheek Maker?

Gimmick or brilliant?

Tarte x Sugar Rush a Candy Inspired Spring 2019 Collection Coming Soon?

Update: Tarte Sugar Rush has launched and I have feelings about it. Check out my latest article on the launch by clicking here!

Tarte is hinting a new “Sugar Rush” Spring 2019 Makeup Collection that arrives in a little over a month. I have no idea what it could be but if it’s candy inspired I’m all about it. Candy can be fun so long as Tarte doesn’t go too childish with the launch!

Our last venture into candy inspired makeup was when Too Faced launched their Kandee Johnson Collection which had some fun items like the I Want Kandee Eyeshadow Palette.

Tarte just launched a #Remixnatural Eyeshadow Palette as well as Tarteist Pro Remix Amazonian Clay Palette both of which are very colorful! The #Remixnatural is particularly fun and candy-like so, is this a preview of shades we might see in the Sugar Rush Collection?

All I can say is don’t screw this up Tarte! There’s good potential to create a fun collection for Spring here!

What do you think they have in the works with this collection?
