I remember when the first Sephora Blockbuster Palette was introduced for the Holidays. It was kinda magical.
Sadly, its been so overdone that the magic was quickly sucked out of it.
It’s not the Holidays but the Sephora Makeup Studio Blockbuster Palette makes an early appearance…
Would you buy it?
Ya know all those “cooling” eye gel treatments that promising a refreshingly chilly experience when you use them? Every notice it’s actually the applicator that’s cooling but not the actual gel or cream?
Grrr! So frustrating.
Nuance Salma Hayek Green Tea Cooling Eye Gel helps to reduce puffiness and stress around the delicate eye area with a cooling eye gel…and guess what? It isn’t the only the applicator that’s cool! It’s the gel too!
Marc Jacobs Oh, Lola! is the revamp and youthful version of the popular Lola fragrance.
With Dakota Fanning striking a pose in the promo this latest fragrance is a playful scent should appeal to both the younger and older crowd of fruity, floral perfumes.
Marc Jacob explains, “We recolored the bottle and changed the juice, this Lola is more of a Lolita than a Lola, but we weren’t going to call the fragrance Lolita. Lola is more seductive; Oh, Lola is sensual, but she’s sweeter.”
No matter my age, I’ve always enjoyed a more youthful fragrance and as much as i love the original Lola I was all about trying something new…something playful, sweet, cheerful..!
Here’s my thoughts on Oh, Lola!
Lorac has created two new palettes that will be available exclusively from Hautelook this September. I love Lorac so I’m always up for something new from them.
Take a look!
It’s an ickle early to worry about Halloween but I’ve already been gathering up bits and bobs to decorate my office and house. If you’re a big fan of Halloween you might want to start checking out Ella Dean’s Etsy Shop, Beautiful Twists, as she’s starting to bring out some of her popular Halloween scents.
I’m recommending her now because her little shop gets mighty busy so placing an order early might not be such a bad idea, less wait time when the holiday does hit.
She has 42 items in her Halloween category at the moment but knowing Ella Dean’s creativity level they’ll probably be more by September.
At the moment I’m loving…
Dracula’s Scary Fruity Cereal Room Spray $7.99
Dracula (nickname ‘Vegan Vampire’)…he’s so with the times, he’s become a vegan, taken up yoga, wears blue contacts (that’s so Paris Hilton of him) & even gets his teeth whitened (sounds like he’s really into his looks, huh?) Dracula also loves fruity cereal & eating salads at midnight.
Magical Mouse Kisses Spell Whitney the Witch’s Vegan Witch Body Mist $7.99
Whitney the Witch is a marvelous cook & fashion designer. She has two lines called ‘Broomstick Designs’ & ‘Woven Spider Web Designs (no spiders were harmed in the process, she loves them).’ She got the fashion designer itch, when she decided there has to be a better place to put your wooden spoon when you’re not using it. So Whitney designed a whole line of witch’s hats with pockets in them (she’s wearing one of her own designs). She started to design broomsticks when she figured broomsticks could be a lot more fun, unique & represent each witch’s own personality. If you do ever eat over at Whitney’s house be careful of the soup, she has been known to put spells in them!!
If you’re curious about Ella Dean and her weird and wacky Etsy shop you can click here and here for a few reviews I’ve done in the past or check the Etsy Musings archive!
Happy early Halloween, it’s never to early to start celebrating as far as I’m concerned!
An off topic P.S.
I decorate my house for every holiday but Halloween is probably the biggest…just a note Terry’s Village and $14.99 Collections have their Halloween treasures up. It’s a great place to start hauling very inexpensive indoor and outdoor decor! I’m not affiliated with these shops, just a recommendation for hauling your ghostly goodies on the cheap! Feel free to share your haunts for great decorations!
