Neutrogena Essential Eye Palette x Kerry Washington & Essential Cheek Palette have been revealed and are now available at Ulta.com. As you may already know Kerry Washington has been Neutrogena’s brand ambassador and face but this is the first time she has released a collection in collaboration with the brand.

Come to think about it I don’t think any of Neutrogena’s brand ambassadors have ever had their own collection so this is a first. At the moment the makeup world is finally realizing that foundation and concealer shades are not one size fits all and many, many brands have taken the initiative to expend their color selections. I was thinking since Neutrogena doesn’t exactly have a selection of shades to suit woman of color that maybe Kerry’s Collection would be geared towards a tan or darker skin tone. Sadly, this doesn’t appear the case.

Whoa! The Smashbox x Vlada Petal Metal Collection looks incredible. I have to admit most of what Smashbox has launched lately really hasn’t caught my eye but the Petal Metal Collection has my utmost attention! I mean even the Petal Metal Highlighter caught my eye and I’m so not a highlighter girl.

I think perhaps it’s because the collection centers around Rose Gold which is a shade I absolutely adore. I’m also sort of shocked how excited I am to see this collection up close and personal. Why shocked? Because lately, makeup has been a little uneventful. I haven’t really been super excited about a collection in a long time but this launch? This launch has me quite eager to try it out!

L’Oreal Colour Riche Paradise Enchanted Eyeshadow Palette and L’Oreal Paradise Enchanted Fruit-Scented Blush might just bring memories of Too Faced’s Sweet Peach and Peaches & Cream Collection.

Seems like scented makeup is becoming a thing for the Spring/Summer 2018 season as Maybelline recently launched lemonade-scented palette as well. Considering the two brands belong to the same family, Lancome, it wouldn’t surprise me if we see even more brands starting to do collections like this.
