Sephora Contour Blush Spice Market Blush Palette A Must for Spring

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Sephora Contour Blush Spice Market Blush Palette ($28) is the second six pan blush palette to launch in the last year and I’m quite excited to check it out as I have the original one and quite like it.

Don’t panic, I realize it says contour in the name but the original palette said the same but actually all the shades were quite wearable and mixed and matched nicely. So, even if you aren’t into contouring or it’s not a technique you embrace daily I’m sure you can still use this palette.

Winter is here but most people have their eye on Spring and of course, getting away to a warmer environment for at least part of the harsh winter. That means you’ll need some nice warm makeup for your getaway. This brings together some truly gorgeous shades especially if you’re a deeper skin tone. The palette features both matte and shimmer finishes.

Shades include:
Mahogany Matte, Orange Shimmer, Copper Shimmer, White Gold, Golden Bronze, Burgundy

I’m loving Orange Shimmer in the promo image! It looks rather stunning. I tend to navigate towards tangerines and oranges for my eyes and cheeks big time in the Spring and Summer.

Sephora Contour Blush Spice Market Blush Palette is available now at Sephora.com.

I Think We Forgot To Talk About the Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

victoria's secret mist

Is anyone else as obsessed with Victoria’s Secret perfume as I am!? I love this time of the year because I can haul full bottles at a fraction of the cost. I completely forgot to stop by their site and see what was on sale during the Semi-Annual and I haven’t been to the mall for about two weeks so, obviously I was missing out on sales. I just haven’t had any chance for any shopping! My schedule has been jammed back. I don’t think I miss much with Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual plus I got the Sweet Shoppe Candles I wanted so I think I’m good.

I have to admit I prefer shopping VS’s Semi-Annual online anyway because I dunno about you but the stores around here are RANK around the sale. Everyone opens everything and swatches it, mists it, and just totally ruined it. I wouldn’t be too surprised if I discovered a pair of used undies in those bins. Ew just ew! Thanks but no thanks.

I’d prefer a nice, unopened box of perfume thanks so much. There are still plenty of deals to be had. Most of their 3.7 oz bottles are $19.99 to $24.99 on sale! Plus their fragrance mists are as little as $3.99!

Score!

Free Shipping applies to orders of $75 or more which I don’t doubt I can easily reach.

Head to www.victoriassecret.com to shop!

Enjoy.

Oh and P.S. This was the first year Bath & Body Works didn’t launch a perfume for the Holidays. They did so much wrong with the Holiday launch this year I don’t even know where to start…!

REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic Launches Hopefully With No Stinky Glow Tonic Scent

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Pixi is busy concocting new tonics for our skin this Spring but without a doubt the one area they really need to concentrate on is on Glow Tonic’s fragrance. I use Glow Tonic, I love Glow Tonic, but man it smells like my grandmother’s grandmother. As someone who really enjoys vintage, mature fragrances like Lush Ginger and Marilyn Miglin’s fragrance I simply cannot tolerate Glow Tonic’s fragrance. It’s just awful.

When I came across REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic ($35) I thought how much it looked like Glow Tonic and instantly though, “PLEASE DON’T LET IT SMELL AS BAD!”

This is a daily toner that acts to exfoliate skin gently with lactic acid and willow bark extract. It’ll not only smooth skin but also brightens up your complexion and evens it out. There claim to fame is that it contains a balanced pH of 3.5 to 4 which is necessary to trigger your skin’s natural exfoliation process.

Glow Tonic is $29 and 8.5 oz in size where as this is the same size for $6 extra. If the formula proves just as good minus the horrible fragrance I’d totally be willing to switch things up.

REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic is available now at sephora.com.

Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Sodium Lactate, Lactic Acid, Heptyl Glucoside, Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate, Triethyl Citrate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Benzoic Acid, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Heptanol, Parfum* (Fragrance), Limonene.

Sephora Moisturizing Cream and Gel Tins Unsanitary but Oh So Cute!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

You can blame Steam Cream for my obsession with moisturizers that come in a tin that’s why these new Sephora Moisturizing Cream and Moisturizing Gel Tins are so damn appealing!

Actually, if I think back on you can probably blame a lot of different Japanese and Korean brands as well since I can think of any number of moisturizers that either came in the cutest little tub or tin ever. The first one that comes to mind would be the long gone but never forgotten Sana Hiaruronsan Moisture Gel. Sigh those were the days. There’s also Mizon No 1 Moist King’s Berry Cream which comes in adorable tin. Why oh why am I obsessed with this silly packaging? It’s utterly unsanitary and won’t keep the ingredients stable but I still buy into them.

Sephpora’s are cute as hell not to mention quite cheap at a mere $8 bucks each. They’ll be great for travel as they are only 1.86 oz each.

Maybe Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen Means Japanese SPF Formulas Are About To Go Viral

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 ($32) joins the ranks of The Glossier Invisible Shield with a weightless, invisible formula that protects your skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays.

Obviously, the appealing nature of this new formula is the promise of an invisible and weightless formula. One that absorbs quickly and wears well under other skincare while playing nicely with your makeup. US skincare routines and product launches have been evolving at a very rapid pace since many, many brands started sitting up and taking notice of Korean skincare routines and techniques. Although, I have to admit there are disappointment aspects of these new launches. For example, this year is beyond a doubt the year you’ll see facial sheet masks everywhere especially at the drugstore. I’ve even reviewed a few for you that recently released like Garnier Moisture Bomb The Super Hydrating Sheet Mask and Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating 100% Hydrogel Mask. So, why am I disappointed? Well, after using Korean facial sheet masks for many, many years I can safely say they are far superior to the ones I’ve tried from US brands thus far. I’m hoping as we see more launch this year from brands like Burt’s Bees, Soap and Glory, and Simple that they’ll prove more promising.

On that note, I worry that if the lightweight, quick to absorb formula sunscreens we’ve seen from Asia, Japan in particularly, do go viral that they won’t be as poorly formulated as the sheet masks I’ve seen thus far.
