Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, is turning up roses with the new TokiDoki for Sephora Sodashop print! I recently showed you the brand new palette and makeup bags in this print and had myself a Johnny Rockets kinda moment after seeing it (remind me to tell you about Martin and his ability to stand up and dance with the workers at Johnny Rockets whenever they perform Night Fever when we go there, it’s the highlight of my Johnny Rockets experience!)
Needless to say you might be feeling Johnny Rockets-like or maybe a bit Sonic-like but the fact of the matter is the print just gives that 60′s Sodashop, burger joint feel a new meaning!
Let’s take a look at some of the newest items featuring this great print, P.S. Siberia plays an important role here too!
I prayed to the Makeup Gods recently and asked them to gift us with special Sephora palettes. No, no, no I don’t mean those monster palettes that Sephora has been releasing lately! I’m talking more along the lines of the adorable Moroccan Sunrise Palette! Sigh! Didn’t you simply adore that one?
Well my prayers have been answered and for Spring 2011 we get two new palettes from the Sephora Makeup Collection.
Ugh the bane of my existence. Dry under eyes! As I’ve grown older, gulp, I’ve noticed my eyes have started to become drier and drier and drier!
The skin around the eye area is a very thin, delicate area and it’s one of the first places you might notice the signs of aging. Of course, to erase those signs of aging as well as dark circles, puffiness, and just general aging, we reach for our trusty concealer. But what happens when your concealer starts aging you instead of de-aging you. I know I depend on concealer with my life to make me look fresher, more awake plus I need it to conceal pesky problems such as puffiness, fine lines, and dark circles. But when your eyes are dry this isn’t always the case.
Sometimes applying concealer under your eyes leads to creasing, caking, and just general woe all due to dry eyes. I know I have a hell of a hard time getting my concealer to look flawless when my eyes are busy being terribly dry. Most folks will recommend good eye cream which of course is the first step in getting the dryness under control but honestly, sometimes, you need to even go steps further.
I’m commonly asked, “Where can I buy good Asian skincare in the US?” This is difficult to say as tracking down Japanese or Korean skincare in the US isn’t easy and most of it involves online sleuthing if you live in a small suburb or city. My city happens to have alot of little beauty shops that actually carry various Asian brands however my best success is swapping with friends who live abroad or going the Internet shopping route.
Shopping online is such a traumatic experience when dealing with beauty purchases abroad since sellers are legendary for jacking prices up to crazy heights.
DHC is a Japanese manufacturer of cosmetics, healthy food supplements, apparel, etc….however here in the US we only get the cosmetic and skincare side of DHC which is fine by me as I’m all about the beauty!
DHC offers an easy, fairly inexpensive way to get high quality Japanese skincare easily!
Chose from various lotions and potions to address any need such as oily skin, anti-aging, and more! Snag yourself a bottle of DHC’s cult favorite Deep Cleansing Oil or grab some sheet masks. Cleansing Oil and Sheet Masks aren’t something you commonly see from US brands so both can be a novel experience to try out for the first time or to stock up on if you already love and use these items!
From haircare to skincare and even body care, DHC covers a wide range of products for your beauty needs.
So do you DHC?
Have any favorite products from the brand?
If not, I do suggest you explore the site, you might be surprised at how many great offerings they have!

I look forward to hearing thoughts from the seasoned DHC user!
