Lord knows I’m a high end cosmetic junkie. I live by the rule, “you get what you pay for”. Dishing out $20 for an eyeshadow that easily blends, has plenty of pigment, and simply looks stunning is way better than dishing out $5 for one that blends awful, has a chalky formula, and just looks awful on my eyes.
You get what you pay for.
However, some drugstore cosmetics have convinced me that they deserve a special spot among my elite high end cosmetic brands.
Here’s a post that checks out the best of both worlds and includes the best High End Cosmetics vs. the best Drugstore Cosmetics.
I never claimed to know much about the mysterious world of obsessed nail fanatics. Who are you people and do you really exist? I mean being a makeup junkie is oh so common but nail girl’s that are absolutely bonkers over the next shade of purple varnish is the stuff of urban legends for beauty geeks like myself.
Do girl’s seriously go ga-ga for the next great color release? Are they obsessively collecting nail polishes the way some of us collect eyeshadows?
Not but seriously….I can relate even though I’m not a nail girl.
But I will say I was kinda excited when I heard Zoya wanted to spoon with me…well…not excited like that.
Lancome L’Absolu Creme de Brilliance you turned out exactly the way I was hoping Korres Raspberry Antioxidant Liquid Lipstick would! You’re not really sure if you want to be a lipstick or a lipgloss but I’m not minding in the least as I love how you slick color on my lips, leaving behind a pigmented, glossy pout that looks part lippie, part glossy! Oh how your multitasking ways slay me!
Well now, sometimes, you gotta give Sephora a little credit for originality. Several months ago you might remember I was pretty intrigued by the Sephora Color Play 5 in 1 Palette.
Sephora actually took the design and idea behind that palette and created the new Color Diary Palette. This is interesting and well designed in my opinion however quality makeup wise probably varies but you never know.
