Hawaiian Tropic Fragrance Mists Are Available in the US And I Love Them!

I am so beyond excited that the Hawaiian Tropic Fragrance Mists have launched in the US. These popped up at Superdrug last year and I quickly added them to my list of items I asked one of my best friends to buy for me from the UK. She’ll be visiting soon and rather than have her ship them (they are pretty heavy bottles) I figure she could stow them away in her suitcase. Imagine my surprise when I came across a display at Walgreens.

WHAT!?

I was so happy. Finally, I could sniff them for myself. I’ve read a lot of ravings about them and I was pretty hyped that Walgreens had a display with testers! Sadly, they had only three of the four fragrances and the display was super tiny (two bottles of each scent). After road tripping around the state of New York I was able to finally locate the final bottle I was looking for, Golden Paradise. Now I have all four scents and backups on the way from the UK shortly (I wonder if they’ll smell differently compared to the US ones?!). The UK actually got six fragrances total but here in the US it appears we are only getting four.

I’m not sure if these are limited edition. I do know they are very difficult to locate but worth the chore of seeking them out as they smell lovely.

Josie Maran Argan Moonstone Drops Makeup Priming and Highlighting Oil Now Available

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I tried priming with Physicians Formula Organic Wear Bright Booster Oil Elixir about two weeks ago because my skin was just war-torn courtesy too much air conditioner. I thought a tiny drop or two prior to my moisturizer in the morning would make my foundation apply easier and look fresher. But as always, facial oil anything in the AM is a no go for me. It just makes me into a greasy mess and my makeup seems to melt off. I mean if you wear minimal makeup you might be able to get away with a drop but personally, even with dry skin it doesn’t really work for me.

Josie Maran Argan Moonstone Drops Makeup Priming and Highlighting Oil joins the round of “primer facial oils” with a weightless formula that not only preps for makeup but also leaves your complexion with a dewy moonlit glow. These iridescent drops can be mixed with foundation, applied on your lips, or even subtly blended on your cheek bones to add a touch of a glow. The hydrating argan oil base acts to prep skin for foundation and apparently PhytoVie Defense helps fight against free radical damage and extends makeup wear.

As for me, well, I’m stepping back. The glow and the oil might be a little too much for me. Being shiny and glow-y isn’t quite the look for me.

Josie Maran Argan Moonstone Drops Makeup Priming and Highlighting Oil are available now at sephora.com.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Media Perfume Oil Review

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Media Perfume Oil is one of several fragrance blends inspired by Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. Media is a rare character that makes the jump from written word to screen brilliantly well. She’s a character that I actually liked more on the screen than I do the book. I think as a book worm that’s saying something. You might just blame it on Gillian Anderson who brought her to life so perfectly.

Either way, she’s something to behold on screen that’s for sure!

I had Media on my list of perfume buys for a short while now but I was waiting until the Bpal Halloweenies launch to haul her. But when the Lab recently introduced two coffee blends to support Transgender rights in the military I decided now was a good a time as any to grab a few oils on my wish list, Media being one of those.

So, sit back, relax, and let’s get down to a fresh, clean, lemon scented you or in this case, a Victoria’s Secret scented you!
