Tarte’s Original Fragrance and Perfume and It Isn’t Sweet Tarte

Tarte Sweet Tarte Fragrance launched about a week ago and is being marketed as the brand’s first ever fragrance. I quickly purchased it and fell in love. It’s quite a gorgeous mix of sweet and musky notes with touched of gorgeous vanilla. It starts out bright, zippy, and sweet but it ends up becoming very sultry and sensual. It’s sadly limited edition which apparently is code word for it’ll be around a long time and probably go on sale in a month. No, but seriously, hopefully it is around for a while because I really like. Although, I’ll be the first to admit the sudden venture that Urban Decay and Tarte has been making into both skincare and fragrance lately leaves me slightly confused. I know Chanel, Dior, and a host of other high-end brands do both skincare, fragrance, and color cosmetics and it doesn’t seem odd at all. But for whatever reason it feels strange and out of place when Tarte or Urban Decay suddenly starts doing it.

None the less, here we are. Now Tarte is insisting that this is their first fragrance ever and on their website the description reads, “Our first-ever fragrance captivates in a convenient rollerball, infused with sustainably-sourced Madagascar vanilla for a refreshingly sweet essence.” I took them at their word because I can’t recall a time that they had a fragrance but many of you clever ladies and lads were quick to correct me and say no way! Tarte has had a fragrance before.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

The new Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette arrives just in time for the warm, sizzling days of Summer with a selection of twelve brand new Urban Decay Eyeshadows. Mind you Naked Heat is far from being naked as this palette contains a selection of smoking browns, reddish oranges, and sizzling hot sienna shades. It’s an interesting release since it toes the line at being both a Summer and Fall 2017 launch considering the shades are quite versatile for either season.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette launches for pre-order June 12th on the brand’s website and will be officially available June 30th with online retailers like sephora.com and ulta.com getting it July 10th online and July 13th in stores.

This is a very appealing palette to me as I favor warmer shades. I especially like them because they remind me of autumn and falling leaves.

Let’s take a look at my review and swatches below.

I Don’t Really Know Which Seasons Beauty Brands Are Promoting Anymore

I don’t really know which seasonal products beauty brands are promoting anymore and I’m questioning if I care or not!? Wait a minute, yes I do! I care! I want to hear about the latest seasonal releases within an appropriate time frame but I don’t want to be confused about the season they are releasing for! It’s becoming more and more difficult to figure out if brands are promoting Summer or Fall or Holiday…it’s all running together into one confusing mess.

And my head is being done in by it all.

Are you confused?

Too Faced Born This Way Setting Powder Set to Give You Angelic Skin

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Too Faced Born This Way Setting Powder Ethereal Setting Powder ($32) is arriving our way on June 15th and I feel oddly compelled to purchase it. You know me, as a dry skin girl I typically avoid setting with powder but Too Faced Born This Way Setting Powder makes it seem like I’m about to get angelic skin. Suddenly, I’m thinking about being Emmanuelle Béart in Date with An Angel. Perfectly angelic flawless skin!

I swear I’ve watched way too many 80’s movies in this life time. In reality, this powder is probably a glitter bomb! Apparntly it creates a veil of perfecting luminosity with a natural finish that will leave you with Born this Way skin! Of course, Urban Decay beat Too Faced to the punch as they launched their new Naked Skin The Illuminizer Translucent Pressed Beauty Powder late last month.

My mentality and excuse for purchasing this when it launches is 1. I’ll totally look like Emmanuelle Béart after applying a fine dusting and 2. I like and use Born This Way Foundation so, of course I need the matching face powder. Makes sense right? I like to think so.

Too Faced Born This Way Setting Powder arrives first at toofaced.com.

Will you be purchasing it?

New Revlon Photoready Primer Formulas Launch for Summer

The Revlon Selfie-Ready, Simplified Collection brings us two new Revlon Photoready Primers as well as a few repromoted products from their Photoready line. The two newest formulas are Revlon Photoready Pore Reducing Primer and Revlon Photoready Brightening Primer.

I happen to be a major fan of Revlon Photoready Primer as you already know and I’ve recommended it numerous times in the past. I was pretty excited they decided to extend this wonderful primer to add two different new formulations.
