I finally got my hands on the new Flower Beauty Flower Pots Powder Blush ($8.98) that launched earlier this Spring. I was terribly intrigued by these new blushes since I really like the Milani Powder Blush and hello, these are identical in styling to those! So yeah, that might have been a buying point for me because throwing cute flower shaped blushes at me gets my attention really fast.

Covergirl Melting Pout Liquid Lipstick ($7.99) are a new pigmented liquid lipstick that has a hybrid lipgloss and lipstick formula in the vein of Maybelline Color Jolt Intense Lip Paint and Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick.

I actually really loved Color Jolt Intense Lip Paint and I figured if Covergirl Melting Pout Liquid Lipstick was as good as that formula I’d be a happy girl. Covergirl released these in 12 shade selections that are available in some standard nudes, bold reds, and even some shades that aren’t fairly common to the drugstore world like purple and blue!

The well has dried up in the drugstore makeup world. Several month ago I wrote a post about how Harmons never has the latest and greatest seasonal and limited edition drugstore makeup anymore. Harmons was literally the mecca for seasonal makeup releases and always had them at least 30 days before everyone else. Walmart was pretty on top of their game as well and had Covergirl Collections prior to anyone else not to mention Target was pretty good about getting the latest releases too.

But for about a year now finding new releases at Harmons or otherwise seems impossible.

What can’t you find the newest drugstore makeup at drugstores? Why are they arriving 30 or more days after you’ve heard about them dozens of times over on social media and even on the brand’s websites themselves?
