Rosebud Perfume Co. Hits the Floor Running with a New Summer Flavor!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

It’s been quite sometime since Rosebud Perfume Co or Smith’s as I know them have created a new flavor. Now, personally the sun rises and sets on my beloved Rosebud Salve even though I’m a bit of a Lanolips Lano Tinted Balm convert lately too. But I tend to always go back to my Rosebud Slave.

I think the last flavor they created was Brambleberry Rose Lip which I was told, none to delicately, smelled like a$$…..! True story. But that’s neither here nor there, as today we’re about talk about the latest flavor to join the Rosebud Salve world, Tropical Ambrosia!

Rosebud Perfume Co. Tropical Ambrosia Lip Balm ($7) is a new coconut and mango blend that can be used on dry lips but of course, like all Smith products it can also be used on dry elbows, knees, and even on just inked flesh. It’s a multitasking diva to say the least. This is why I love Rosebud Salve’s formula, it just works everywhere and in every situation from chapped lips to dry skin to hangnails and rough cuticles. You can apply it everywhere and anywhere.

Grab up the latest flavor now at Sephora.com.

Are you a Rosebud Salve fan?

Yay or Nay: Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette

There isn’t any question, the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette is a cult favorite product that gave birth to an entire line of products and helped Urban Decay venture into a completely new realm of shades that weren’t readily available in the past. Because, let’s face it, Urban Decay is known for their loud, bright, outrageous shades right? But nowadays, I think that the Naked Palette single handedly changed how you think of the brand.

This June, it’ll be seven years since the brand released that faithful palette and gained an entirely new breed of fans in the process.

Do you love Urban Decay’s Naked Eyeshadow Palette? Is it a yay or a nay for you?

Kopari Coconut Face Cream Review

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Kopari Coconut Face Cream is one of several coconut skincare products that Kopari dropped on us a few short week’s ago. My adventure started recently with these new goodies when I purchased the Kopari Coconut Face The Day & Night Kit. I am so, so happy I got that kit because it allowed me to try many of their new skincare launches without indulging in full size. This was especially great because I ended up not liking a lot of the items so, I feel like I saved a good deal of money by indulging in this kit.

Let’s take a look at the Kopari Coconut Face Cream.

Is Imitation the Best or Worst Form of Flattery in the Makeup World?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Is imitation a form of flattery in the makeup and beauty world or is it just plain copying? Several years ago, Victoria’s Secret was sued by Urban Decay for introducing a “Naked” Eyeshadow Palette. Or in this case, they used the “Naked” name which was apparently trademarked by Urban Decay. I mean, in this particular case, I don’t think Victoria’s Secret really copied anything aside from the name from Urban Decay but there are plenty of brands that copy each other’s ideas and packaging etc…

Let’s see…

There’s Maybelline Color Jolt Intense Lip Paint which some might say is very similiar Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick. And if we really think hard enough we can probably come up with any number of drugstore dupes out there that look quite similiar to some of our beloved mid to higher range brand products.

But none are more guilty of this than Makeup Revolution who recently came under fire when Kat Von D called them up on Instagram for duping Kat’s Eye Contour Palette with their Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade Palette. Makeup Revolution does so like to copy Too Faced packaging. A quick glance at their Chocolate Eyeshadow Palettes and Blushing Hearts Blush will have plenty of eyes raising.

I have to admit though I didn’t really make the connection between Kat’s palette and their palette until she did a shout out on Instagram about it and even then I failed to make the connection.

Kiko Tropic Heat for Summer 2017

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The fun, floral, fruity, and colorful Kiko Tropic Heat Capsule Collection has launched for Summer 2017 and it’s sure to grab your attention. As you may know, Kiko is celebrating 20 years of fantastic makeup and has teamed up with a variety of different designers to launch several collections over the coarse of the next year. The first collection, Less is More, launched earlier this Spring and just a short month later we can get our hands on the new Tropic Heat Summer Collection which was designed by the Italian brand, Leitmotiv brand founders, Juan Caro and Fabio Sasso.

I instantly though how similiar this collection was to the upcoming MAC Fruity Juicy Collection. Not to mention the Kiko Tropic Heat Primer & Fixer which are available in three fruity scents might bring you back to the MAC scented MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ that launched in 2015 in scents like coconut, lavender, and cucumber!

Needless to say, Kiko’s Tropic Heat Collection is a bit more affordable and all cute.
