For the first time, it what seems to be too many years to count, I am bringing you Japanese Cosmetic Collections for Holiday 2010.
I’ve been very remiss in covering Beauty Abroad particularly Japan lately for a few reasons one of which was alot of rehash of colors, products, and generally items I wasn’t interested in particularly Holiday Coffrets which normally excite me.
Last year, I covered one or two items from Japan but nothing major since I failed to find the joy in some of the releases plus a few readers had expressed a dislike for the reviews because they felt it was difficult to locate the products in the review.
This year, I felt like we could use a little different. So for the first time in a while I will be covering Japan Winter and Holiday 2010. This will include reviews from Kanebo including Kate and Lavshuca plus Shiseido’s Majolica Majorca Holiday 2010 Collection and many other interesting bits and bobs.
I hope you’re excited about these reviews as I am.
Until they arrive please feel free to dive into the archives and start brushing up on Japanese Makeup if you haven’t already, there is ALOT of catching up to do if you haven’t had a chance to see these posts.
Feel free to tell me what Japanese and/or Asian Collections that are tickling you this Holiday.

Nichola Roberts launched her Dainty Doll Collection with Jelly Pong Pong about…mmm two years ago? It sold out pretty quickly. I reviewed a few items from it at the time but wasn’t particularly impressed.
However, those with extremely fair skin this is for you. Nichola created this collection with fair skin chicas in mind like herself as she grew tired of being on an endless quest to find the best and most suitable shades for her very fair skin.
After getting fed up with the selection available she quit looking and created the Dainty Doll Collection.
Not so long ago the Demeter Hello Kitty Collection launched and included Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Little Twin Stars Fragrances.
I gushed, I cried, I squealed, and I got completely excited since like any good fan of cuteness I love me some Hello Kitty.
Even more recently Demeter has extended the line to include Chococat and Badtz Maru but most important of all the Sanrio signature scent.
Any fan of Sanrio can completely guess what this is.
Sorry for the delay posting this.
Today the UK had its annual Forum Party which includes special fragrance releases. I didn’t post earlier because the lines were busy for literally ages. I’m happy to report they are now open and ready. Lush UK will be available to call for the next few hours up until 10PM (5 PM Standard Eastern Time).
What’s this mean?
It means you can order any Lush products or Gorilla Perfumes PLUS special Forum Fragrances available in the following scents:
- Lush Twilight Perfume £25
- Lush Snowcake Perfume £23
- Lush American Cream Perfume £22
- Lush Black Pearl Perfume £22
- Lush Big Perfume £22
- Lush So White Perfume £18 (Click here for Review)
- Lush Day of the Dead Perfume £24
I already own a ton of Snowcake, American Cream, Black Pearl, and So White as these fragrances have been done years past however I was so excited to see Big and Day of the Dead plus Twilight is also a welcome addition!
I successfully placed my order about 15 minutes ago after trying all day. Lots of busy signals to be had.
You can order by calling 011 44 1 202 668545 (the country code used is for US residents only, you’ll have to replace it if you’re abroad, within Asia, Etc….).
Lush UK used to throw these fragrance parties exclusively within the UK however in recent years they have extended it to NA. However, I haven’t heard when or if the US is having such a party and I didn’t want to take a chance of missing out on Day of the Dead (hello, awesome scent!) so I ordered from the UK. If you wish to wait you might see these pop up stateside soon but that’s unconfirmed. Fragrances are made to order therefore they take two weeks to actually reach you so it’s like pre-booking them.
Feel free to share what you purchased, I’d love to hear it!
