These new Spotlight highlighter palettes are available in two shade selections for both lighter and darker skin tones and each contains three shades each as well as a how to get look guide featuring three different look created in collaboration with youTube star, Casey Holmes.

Pearl is the softer, lighter shade selection created for fair-to-light skin tones where as Gold contains warmer shades for medium-to-dark skin tones.

L.A. Girl is now sold at ulta.com! I don’t know if they’ll be carrying it in store but I’m quite happy to see select products are now available online. I notice that Ulta is carrying more and more lower end, budget brands lately like BH Cosmetics, L.A. Girl, E.L.F., etc…..They are also expanding their mid to high end range as well as earlier last yesterday they started carrying Estee Lauder, Guerlain fragrances, and others.

Lately, Ulta rivals Sephora in some aspects especially considering they get a lot of exclusive launches before Sephora does. If you haven’t tried the L.A. Glazed Lip Paint now is a good time to do so! Those are pretty good!

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($44) is a new coconut-infused gel highlighter. You might remember Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer which launched last year! Seems like the brand has plans to expand the coconut goodness with this new highlighter and a coconut bronzer too that will be launching very soon as well!

This gel-cream is available in a single shade and can be applied directly to skin or uses with a foundation or primer. It’s a concentrated formula so some might want to stick to using it as a mix-in with their favorite products. It creates a pretty golden-peach warm radiance on skin and it’s formulated with vitmain B5 as well as five different types of coconut to hydrate and nourish skin.

I always struggle with highlighters for this exact reason!
