How awesome is it when Oprah does her Favorite Things episode? I swear I love seeing all those chicks in the audience going buck freaking wild when she says she’s giving them a tin of popcorn or a moisturizer, I mean you get the same reaction with the popcorn as you do when she says she’s giving away a free car. It’s screaming and tears and sobbing and OMGZZZZZZZ all over the damn place, hells some people fall down and convulse in excitement. Popcorn, car, whatever it’s Oprah and those women are all about Oprah and the swag!
Today, I was reading Bargain Swaps for Oprah’s Favorites on Total Beauty and I was wondering HOW many of those favorite things match up with my own?
Jump ahead to take a little quiz to see how many of Oprah’s favs are some of yours!
Everyone gearing up for MAC Art Supplies this week? What’s your shopping list lookin’ like? It’s pouring rain today so MAC Uniformly Blue Greasepaint Stick came in handy for a quickie FOTD (Face of the Day) this morning, gotta love stormy blues on a rainy day!
I’m skeptical when it comes to rolling my way through a bad puffy eye day, I just don’t seem to have much success with “roller” eye treatments. How are rollers treating you?
Much to my sadness, Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller was a bust for me, I really seen little to no results using it so I was ever so skeptical about the Garnier Caffeine Anti-Dark Circles but…but…but…it’s tinted dude. So it acts as a concealer and tames the puff! This could prove awesome right? And we all know what a concealer junkie I am, I had to try it!
L’Oreal USA will close all U.S. operations of Shu Uemura Cosmetics shortly. L’oreal reports that the brand had bad results during the recession which of course could be the main reason it’s closing it’s doors to US consumers. However, I’ve always felt like the brand wasn’t as well known in the US as it is in Asia or put out there. Finding a Shu counter is a tad difficult sometimes isn’t it? On top of that the company keeps it’s Asian roots which isn’t a bad thing as far as this Muse is concerned but it’s not as marketed to the western side of the market.
According to L’Oreal USA, the move was made to focus on growing larger brands in their current portfolio and even though Shu does incredibly well within Asia, the market worth isn’t particularly high within the US.
Shu Uemura will continue to leave it’s doors open online but how long that is remains to be seen.
Fare well Shu, you’ll be missed.
Will you miss Shu?
