Clinique Crayola Chubby Stick Intense Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

As you know Clinique and Crayola teamed up to create a selection of Clinique Crayola Chubby Stick Intense Lip Pencils (as well as sheer ones in the original formula) for the Spring 2017 season. I think part of my love of makeup stems from the fact I had a crazy addiction to art and school supplies as a child. From 5 years old to around 10 or so if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I’d have told you an artist. Fast forward to Bachelor’s in computer engineering and a career in insurance and let’s just say art never quite worked itself into my life the way I had planned.

But I’m still addicted to crayons, colored pencils, brightly colored stationary, pens, pencils, and of course, makeup. Clinique took the initiative to combine two of my favorite worlds this year with their collaboration with Crayola. I’m sure if you look back on your childhood you might just blame that 64 box of Crayola Crayons for the addiction you have today to colored eyeshadows, lipsticks, and blushes. Because it all started somewhere right? I’m sure a therapist would have a field day picking it apart for us.

Needless to say I thought the idea of a Clinique Crayola collaboration was just too darling. Let’s face it, Clinique knows how to bring the cute lately and this collection sure is adorable.

Here’s a look!

Rimmel London Kate Sculpting and Highlighting Kit Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

The only reason I purchased one of the Rimmel London Kate Sculpting and Highlighting Kit Palettes ($6.99) is because I liked the blush shade. Sorry!? Not sorry! No, seriously, totally went down that way. I saw the darkest shade palette which is called Golden Bronze and I noticed it had this delightfully orange-y golden coral blush in it and the deal was sealed. I had to have it. Even though I KNEW I’d never use the highlighter or the contour palette inside.

This is when you know you have a makeup problem 🙂

In other news, I’m having a terrible case of makeup deja vu because I could have sworn I tried and reviewed a Rimmel London Kate Sculpting and Highlighting Kit in the past. I’m also remembering discussing that I purchased it because of the blush but I can find no record of any of that in my blog and nearly two weeks ago when I was scheduling this post.

I swear I’m getting old if I can’t remember if I did or didn’t try a product.

Ugh.

But ok, here’s my thoughts on this new palette and if we discussed it before, you’re welcome to skip over this post 🙂

Physicians Formula #InstaReady Face Primer Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Physicians Formula #InstaReady Face Primer ($11.99) is a new mattifying facial primer with an SPF 18 that blurs the appearance of pores, fine lines and imperfections while protecting skin and prepping skin for makeup. This primer is part of a line of #InstaReady products that Physicians Formula created for Spring 2017 which also includes a new concealer and a makeup setting mist.

You know aside from color correcting primers like Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Primer and the newer Super CC Color-Correction + Care All-Over Blur Primer Stick, I don’t think I ever seen Physicians Formula do a regular, old standard prep and prime facial primer. And that’s in fact what Physicians Formula #InstaReady Face Primer is, a traditional silicone primer.

Here are my review and thoughts on the formula.

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer ($3.99) is a new, permanent high-coverage concealer formula that was tested under seven different photo lightening conditions to ensure that the coverage provided did not cause a white cast. I recently tried out Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation and was quite pleased with the formula and I expected more of the same from Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer.

Here’s my review and thoughts.
