Nearly 4 years ago I wrote a post about Rosebud Salve and today I thought it should be brought back and enjoyed again by the masses! The good news, if you didn’t already know, is that Rosebud Salve got a revamp about a year ago (maybe less) and is now in a tube form but the fact remains that for me, it’s still the solution to life, the universe and everything no matter its packaging which is why this post deserves a rehash!
If you’ve read it before you can probably skip it but if you missed it the first time around I hope you’ll enjoy!
Feel free to spread your love of Rosebud Salve around!
I dig chubby little pencils. Their cute, their easy to tote around, and most always they are great lightweight formulas. Eyeko has a new Liptastick Glossy Lip Pencil in several shades available, told ya about ‘em a few weeks ago, remember?
Wanna take a peek!?
Mark is starting to release little dribbles of Spring 2011 on its website. I’m always excited to hear about new products as I think the brand has alot of heart and fun. Mind you, Avon wasn’t always so fab but Mark always came out ahead of the game!
Let’s take a peek!
Excuse me why I’ll rant at Biore for never releasing the cool stuff here in the US.
Biore WTH why can’t we have cool cleansers that are called Marshmallow Whip Face Wash? Not cool! We want these things too!
I happen to be a die hard fan of Kose Airy Whip, it was kinda my first introduction into the world of whippy, foamy, fluffy cleansers! I used to buy it by the case load and pimp it out on Musings and to my friends as an essential, must have quickie facial cleanser. Seriously, ask my friends, they’ll agree that they are tired hearing about Airy Whip.
Sorry, it’s just cool stuff.
Anything that looks like whipped cream in a can that can be used as a cleanser is the awesome to me. I’m easily excited about skincare.
That’s why Biore Marshmallow Whip Face Wash is so exciting, shhh, it’s actually taken the place of Airy Whip but DON’T mention that to Airy Whip as we’ve been friends for years and years, don’t wanna hurt its feelings eh? But seriously foaming plus a name with marshmallow in it?
Ok, let me it be know I have no issues with mineral oil but some folks do. It’s difficult finding a cleansing oil without mineral oil as one of the ingredients and the most commonly asked question I get about any cleansing oil I review is, “Does it contain mineral oil?”
Second most commonly asked question, “Any cheap cleansing oil recommendations that are easy to find in the US?” Although cleansing oil is a common part of the Asian beauty regime it’s not something that’s quite caught on in the US in my opinion. Hell, if it did, we’d all go to the drugstore and have our pick of any number of cleansing oils just like any good Asian woman can at their local drugstore in Japan, Korea, etc….it’s simply not the case in the US in my opinion. Some brands do have cleansing oil available however you probably didn’t even know they had one. MAC has one, surprised? I think we commonly associate cleansing oil with Shu Uemura and ouch expensive.
Want readily available?
Want something to easily clean away makeup, even stubborn waterproof mascara?
Want it without mineral oil?
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is the ticket.
Made without mineral oil, allowing for a deep clean, and readily available for purchase plus an inexpensive price tag keeps this cleansing oil at the top of the awesome pile.
Scared of cleansing oil? Weird idea isn’t it? Taking oil and proceeding to rub it on your face…well it could prove a great idea for those of us with dry skin but even than it sounds a tad on the strange side…wouldn’t your face feel oily and greasy after use?
No way. Cleansing Oil rinses clean away and allows even the most stubborn, I’m sticking around until you die makeup to be removed easily!
