So, how much damage did you do on Black Friday (and Cyber Monday for that matter!)? Did you tally up all your orders yet? Did you get gifts to give or to you get gifts for yourself?
I was semi-good…..
I did an order with Forever 21 this morning, also picked up the new Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette from Sephora, got two Kat Von D Brightening Powders, I also got some stuff from Think Geek for myself, two orders with Colourpop because hey, 20% off, I got myself some new Uggs as I couldn’t resist 30% off, I also did a Fortune Cookie Soap, did a Benefit order today, and picked up a few bits from the Stila Warehouse Sale. Oh not to mention the Matte Chocolate Chip and White Chocolate Chip Palettes! I’m sure there is more but I can’t think of it all right now. These deals are giving me a headache! I can’t believe I’m saying this but I feel a little shopped out!
I think I did the most damage with gifts though! I really hauled hard in the gift department. Some of the deals going on were insanely good!

Kat Von D Lock-It Brightening Powder is currently gearing up to potentially take the place my beloved Ben Nye Banana Powder! The question here is, will it be a good replacement? Kat Von D Lock-It Brightening Powder is a new Spring 2017 created exclusively for use under eyes. This weightless, tinted loose powder is available in three shades (Yup, there’s a banana yellow shade called Golden).
I’ve actually never been a strong supporter of setting my concealer with powder because I have drier eyes. One day, I tried it though and buffed it gently under my eyes after concealer application using a soft, bushy blending brush. Every since that day I was hooked. It really does set concealer for all day wear plus it brightens up the entire area. There’s been some fails here though like Laura Mercier’s Secret Brightening Powder that never quite worked for me, nor Sephora’s Bright Set Loose Finishing Powder. I do love Besame’s Brightening Powders to do this job but I must admit since my beloved Skin Food Salmon Dark Circle Powder got discontinued I mostly use Ben Nye’s Banana Powder for this job! The yellow powder works well to set my concealer and brightens up my entire eye area.
Now, let’s see how the Kat Von D Lock-It Brightening Powder stands up!
I have to admit I can’t get past using one Beautyblender never mind five! But this Beautyblender Fab Five Sponge Set is perfect for your Zombie Apocalypse Kit because when the zombies come, and yes they are coming, who knows how easy it’ll be to get Beautyblenders. When when Negan and Lucille come a calling, well, Beauty Blenders could make for good bargaining tools.
No, but seriously, I can’t really get passed using one Beautyblender myself! I feel like I don’t put on enough foundation to really benefit from the use of this little sponge but I do know that I don’t just use my Beauty Blender to apply makeup, I use it to apply skincare too.
