Tarina Tarantino Holiday Collection 2010 is looking all kinds of stupid gorgeous! Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Gold Shimmer Dust should feel your sweet tooth if you’ve always had a yearning for Givenchy’s Holiday Powders and the Tarina Tarantino Jewel Box Palette should completely capture your attention if you simply adore pretty makeup palettes.
Everyday I thank the Makeup Gods for blessing us with Tom Pecheux. Since filling the Estee Lauder Creative Makeup Director position, Tom Pecheux has taken the brand, in my opinion, to the next level.
It’s ok, you can admit it, you probably feel like Estee Lauder leans more towards your grandmother’s style makeup right? Hey, I’m there with you. Estee Lauder definitely has a mature audience and hasn’t really ventured past that for many years.
With Tom Pecheux filling the creative director chair at Estee Lauder the brand has started to have a more universal appeal. Collections and colors are becoming more and more interesting and with time I imagine and patience plus more releases like we’ve been seeing as of late, Estee Lauder will not longer be associated with your great aunts and grandmothers.
This proves true with a very interesting limited edition collection Estee Lauder Pure Color Extravagant Collection by Tom Pecheux that releases with the Estee Lauder Holiday Collection 2010 this year.
Anyone remember the Smashbox Wish Holiday Collection from last year?
Looks like Smashbox has revived it and is re-releasing it this year with new shades.
Last year Smashbox donated $1 from every purchase of the Wish Holiday Collection to the Children’s Miracle Network which is a non-profit organization that provides medical care, lifesaving research, and on-going education to sick and injured children. I’m not sure if this year’s collection will feature the same charity event but I imagine it will.
One thing that did capture my eye was the new Smashbox Burlesque Beauty Collection which is a four piece set that isn’t part of the Wish theme. It looks cute and I’m somewhat hopeful it might lead to other color releases or a possible Burlesque Color Collection of some sort.
There’s also Smashbox The Gold List which is a value set that includes some interesting golden themed makeup products for the Holiday!
So let’s not write off Sephora’s Cosmetics Collection just yet.
I know, I know. I rant about it constantly but Sephora Cosmetics and I have a special love/hate relationship. We’re cool like that.
For example I really like the Sephora Color Wand For Lips…..
Glutton for punishment?
My relationship with DuWop spans quite a few years and in all that time I can’t recall them every having blush.
Let’s step back.
DuWop Blushbooster has been a part of the line for about 4 to 5 years now however I’ve never been tempted to indulge because it just looks a little too frosty plus it’s supposed to work on top of your normal blush (or on it’s own but from swatching I’d say it’s a tad too sheer to work as such). One day I’m trying this out but that day isn’t today.
Today I’m all about the fact that DuWop has finally heard my prayers and introduced Keep Blushing.
I wanna try.
