Too Faced Gets Peachy for Spring 2017

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Fall isn’t here as of yet but the Holiday 2016 Makeup Collections and even Spring 2017 ones are popping up everywhere. Last week, we got wind of the new Too Faced Peach Glow Palette that I speculated would release for Spring 2017. Some of that is confirmed with the release sneak peek that Jerrod Blandino, co-founder of Too Faced Cosmetics, teased on his Instagram account.

He posted a picture of a model at a photo shoot wearing, what appeared to be, the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette and mentioned Spring 2017 arriving as soon as November/December. In recent years, Too Faced Spring Collections arrive a week or two before Christmas so, I suspect that the Sweet Peach Palette will hopefully be back in stock along with that new Peach Glow Highlighter Palette that broke the Internet last week!

I’m honestly just happy to see more peach for Spring. I remember a time that coral was such a hit for Spring/Summer Collections. But for some reason that really hasn’t been a top trend in a very long time. I hope that the introduction of Too Faced’s Spring Peach Collection might be incentive for more brands to do glow-y peach shades like NARS Orgasm for Spring and Summer looks.

Le sigh! Wishful thinking?

Why am I even discussing Spring 2017/Summer 2017 makeup trends when we haven’t even finished off Summer 2016 yet?

Funny story, I was listening to Howard Stern a few days ago and Nick Cannon mentioned he wouldn’t be voting and even felt like his vote didn’t count because the Presidential Election was per-determined. I scoffed at that opinion. Now if I were Nick, I’d turn my eye to the makeup industry as I swear trends are totally predetermined years in advance before they happen. Like, they have some secret society creating trends on the fly twenty years into the future. It’s all Winchester/Men of Letters/Secret Hideaway type thing up in there….!

Mmmhmmm…

But anyway, I just hope that peach will be a trend soon because I’m tired of liquid lipstick, contouring, and highlighter!

Are you looking forward to seeing what Too Faced Spring 2017 brings?

Too Faced Spring 2016 will likely arrive early December at toofaced.com and soon after at Sephora.com, Ulta.com, and in stores.

Too Faced Holiday 2016 Arriving Soon!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Jerrod’s busy teasing us with Too Faced Holiday 2016 goodies on his Instagram account. Too Faced Holiday 2016 isn’t far off either if they plan on keeping with tradition and launching in September. Last year the Holiday Collection arrived the first week of September! Crazy? For sure! But you know all the makeup addicts out there are like, “Imma stop you for a minute and grab my credit card BRB!”

Although Too Faced is a West Coast brand, this year’s collection is all about the East and inspired by Christmas in New York. As a native New Yorker, I’ll be completely vain and terribly ignorant arrogant in saying that there’s no place like New York during the Holidays 🙂

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation Has Arrived!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation

It’s here! In a weird launch, the new Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 50 has arrived! Why weird? Well, L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation arrived at drugstores for Spring 2016 in December. Typically drugstores are lag a little behind with releases. L’Oreal is Lancome’s parent company but typically products end up releasing on counters first and a few months or even a year down the line you’ll see a drugstore variation of said product.

Not the case with Lancome’s cushion! L’Oreal got it first by several months with a super early releases in the UK and one a few months later in the US. I thought it was very interesting that drugstore got dibs on this launch.

Also odd, is the fact that Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil got a launch before the foundation yet L’Oreal Lucent Magique Cushion Glow Blush still hasn’t arrived on our shores. So, we got the foundation at drugstores first yet not the foundation but the blush is here on counters but not at drugstores. Oh woe!

Hmm…! I might be overthinking things but none the less we now have Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation to look forward to.

Kleenex Exfoliating Pads Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Kleenex Exfoliating Cushions

Kleenex Exfoliating Pads ($4.99) are dual-sided pads which have a built in cleanser that is water activated which buffs away dead skin cells. If you read my Kleenex Cotton Soft Pads review you know that Kleenex is getting in on the skincare world with some interesting and fun products that launched earlier this Summer!

My skin is drier and duller which means exfoliating is definitely an essential part of my routine. But the problem with exfoliating drier skin is that it can easily be overdone and makes me even more drier. Typically I try to keep it to once or maybe twice a week at best to avoid further dryness. It’s always a rather great pleasure to discover a product that’s gentle enough to exfoliate your skin daily with and that would be the case with these Kleenex Exfoliating Pads.

My Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette Review is Late but Great!

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette12

Better later than never right? My Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette review is all kinds of late but it’s great, promise! Becca released two ombre eyeshadow palettes last year, both of which I purchased but for some reason they got pushed way down my “to be reviewed” pile. I hate when this happens as it potentially means I’m missing out on something terrific.

That would be the case with the Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette because I’ve had it for an entire year, never used it until recently, and now I’m kicking myself for not using it sooner because I simply adore it.

No one panic. I understand I’ve been saying “I love and I like” a lot around matte eyeshadows and matte eyeshadows lately. I must be getting old, embracing my natural, simple side, or mattes are just way better formulated nowadays!

Either way, the Ombre Rouge Eye Palette is a must have.
