Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil Finally Launches with Poor Packaging

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Hydrating Cleansing Oil

The happy news about Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil ($12.99) is it’s finally here and I have a feeling I’m going to love it. The sad news is it launched with really poor packaging.

Please, people of the skincare world, don’t launch cleansing oils without a pump. K, thanks! Do you recall how much I love Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil and how annoying I found the pour bottle? And later on realizing I had to buy a pump separately from Origins? Seriously?

Same problem with Simple but they aren’t even offering a separate purchase! The new Hydrating Cleansing Oil arrives in a pour or squeeze bottle if you will. For me, this is a horrible packaging idea for cleansing oil. It’s just too messy to pour cleaning oil! I personally find it easier to pump it.

But, ranting aside, here’s the deets on Simple Cleansing Oil!

Create with pure grape oil and enriched with Vamis A & E this simple yet hydrating cleansing oil removes makeup easily without leaving skin dry or tight!

I’m looking forward to checking it out!

NYC New York Color Lovatics by Demi Lip & Cheek Tint Review & Swatches

NYC New York Color Lovatics by Demi Lip & Cheek Tint

I’m likely in the minority but I’m loving on the new NYC New York Color Lovatics by Demi Lip & Cheek Tint ($3.57). NYC New York Color Lovatics by Demi Lip & Cheek Tint is a new liquid cheek and lips stain part of new collaborated makeup collection between Demi Lovato amd NYC New York Color Cosmetics that’s available in three shade selections.

If you like products like Benefit Benetint you’re bound to enjoy this formula. Although I do know many people hate on Benetint because it proves so difficult to apply and blend without looking blotchy. I think I was personally loving on Benetint because it was of the few products of its kind over ten years ago when I originally tried it. Nowadays, there are far superior formulas around so Benetint isn’t one I reach for often. NYC New York Color Lovatics by Demi Lip & Cheek Tint is the same concept at a cheaper price and in a wider range of shades with an easier to blend formula.

How E.L.F. Micellar Cleansing Water Ended Up in My Garbage

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

E.L.F. Micellar Cleansing Water

My nearly full bottle of E.L.F. Micellar Cleansing Water ended up in my garbage within minutes of using it but let me digress for a moment and tell you a little about this new micellar cleansing water.

E.L.F. Micellar Cleansing Water is a new gentle, oil-free cleansing water (note the word gentle, it’ll come into play later on in my review) that promises to remove makeup easily without drying out skin. E.L.F.’s a little late to this show because the micellar water trend is starting to die down and cleansing balms are becoming more popular. But none the less, the beauty world still has their eye on micellar water as an easy way to remove makeup in a hurry without stripping skin. Weirdly enough, E.L.F. Hydarting Gel Melt Cleanser made an appearance before their micellar water did. So, E.L.F. definitely has their ear to the beauty trend ground but I guess they decided to launch well after the trend has come and gone!

Hey, better late then never though right? Plus we all love on E.L.F.’s cheap pricing and this micellar water isn’t badly priced at 5 oz for $7 bucks. Although if you want to be technical about it, Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser+Waterproof Makeup Remover is around the same price at over double the size.

I’m not much of a micellar water fan but lately I find I use it a lot more since I’ve been cleansing with Lush Ultra Bland. Typically I use Ultra Bland and follow up with micellar water to remove the film Ultra Bland leaves behind at times. Honestly, a washcloth soaked in hot water removes most of Ultra Bland but I still like to use micellar water after just to get any traces of it from my skin plus it preps my skin nicely for my other skincare. Micellar Water, for me, is the lazy girl’s guide to removing makeup! It’s great but I never feel fully clean when I use it. So, on a late night when I can’t be arsed to double cleanse and do the entire remove my makeup bit that’s when micellar water comes in quite handy.

But, E.L.F. Micellar Cleansing Water won’t be one I’m adding to my skincare line up!

Smashbox Studio 24-Hour Concealer Arrives and Loki Swims Around in a Tank Top!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Smashbox Studio 24-Hour Concealer

You know me, I get terribly excited about new concealer and this season has truly been the season of new formulas! Born This Way Concealer, Tarte Shape Tape, just to name a few have popped up and crossed my radar recently and now I have my sights set on Smashbox Studio 24-Hour Concealer as well as potentially having Tom Hiddleston run around in an I Heart the Muse tank top. Or maybe Benedict Cumberbatch, beggars can’t be choosers, I’ll settle for either/or.

Don’t sit there on a high horse acting like these thoughts haven’t crossed your mind since seeing that photo of Hiddleswift. I know I have irrational jealous and hateful feelings towards Tay-Tay at the moment for taking away my beloved Loki.

Anyway, I have a better chance getting my hands on the new Smashbox Studio 24-Hour Concealer than Hiddleston so, on with the beauty show, kids.
