Clinique Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Clinique Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer6

Clinique Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer ($29.50) is busy getting mixed reviews so, I thought I’d share my thoughts on this hybrid moisturizer slash face primer. Yup, that’s exactly what this is! Clinique combines a lightweight moisturizer with a facial primer to provide all day hydration as well as oil control with a matte finish that blurs the appearances of pores and imperfections for a flawless finish.

Sounds interesting?

It is!

Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer

I’m not sure if I should question how Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer worked for me. Sometimes you don’t question miracles!

Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer is a new concealer that launched for Summer/Fall 2016 which is now a permanent part of the Tarte Double Duty Beauty Collection that’s available exclusively at Ulta and tartecosmetics.com.
So first off, I have no idea what the name means! Shape tape?! Shrug. I don’t get it but I won’t question it!

But here’s the deets! Shape Tape Contour Concealer is a 2-in-1 full coverage concealer with a matte finish that’s available in six shade selections. Sure, it performs the regular concealer duties like covering up blemishes or dark circles. But you can use it as a highlighting, sculpting, and contouring tool by using one or more lighter and darker shades to contour with. If you’re embracing all the contouring and strobing trends that have been on the rise for the past few seasons this is a nifty little tool to contour with especially around the eye socket and upper cheek bone area as it produces a brightened, highlighted effect. Mine you, it doesn’t contain shimmer or sparkle! It relies upon a lighter, brighter formula to produce the strobing effect everyone is so mad about at the moment.

Why I Wish Lush Kitchen Would Come to the US

I purchased this item.

Lush kitchen

I order from Lush UK quite often. Why? Well, one reason would be the fact they have certain products we don’t carry in the US. Secondly, the prices are much more cheaper. For example, I can order all my favorites plus pay airmail shipping and it would still be cheaper than purchasing all the same items from Lush here in the US. Crazy right?

In recent years, shipping has gone up but I actually don’t mind. Why? Because I’ll do an order and it’ll get here via UPS within three days (four or five at most if customs is curious about what’s inside the box).

But all this is irreverent to my post as I really want to discuss why I wish Lush Kitchen would come to the US.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Paranorman Courtney is a Perfect Summer Fragrance!

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Paranorman Courtney

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Paranorman Courtney Perfume Oil is one of several fragrances that launched inspired by the Paranorman movie that launched in 2012. This particularly fragrance blend is inspired by Courtney Babcock, Norman’s obnoxious old sister. She’s your typical stereotypical teen sister that easily annoyed by her little brother and just wants to sit around talking on the phone, texting, and talking about boys. When push comes to shove though, Courtney does have Norman’s back.

Courtney’s scent is an interesting and unusual blend of bubblegum and tanning lotion. Did I hear an ewwww out there? I know! Sounds kind of weird right? I was drawn to it because of the bubblegum but I had my worries and doubts about the tanning lotion. You see, I’m not a beach-y fragrance kind of girl (Although Carol’s Daughter Monoi did prove me wrong recently!). But if nothing at all I do so enjoy my unusual, unique fragrance blends and this ended up in my cart many months ago. I had plans to review it around Halloween because, well, Paranorman, Halloween, seems to go together hand in hand. But technically speaking Courtney’s Perfume Oil is more about Summer than Fall.
