My Mentality Is If You Must Try Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream You Might As Well Get Something Free!

Clinique Go-Go Eyes

Sorry, I didn’t like Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. I used an entire tube up, I also used a sample I got, and my eyes, aside from being pleasantly moist with each use, looked about the same!

Darn.

I had such high hopes.

Outside of concealer, eye cream is one of biggest beauty passions. I’m obsessed with finding the next best one! Recently, I checked out Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream because it promised all sorts of goodies. There were peptides here and the promise of moisture and brightening and giving my eyes a wide awake, fresher appearance while de-puffing and giving my that I had 12 hours of sleep but I really only had 4 look. It just sounded to good to be true.

Unfortunately, it was.

Pep-Start actually brings the moisture but after using my entire tube I didn’t notice much anything else. Oh woe is me! I was disappointed!

But if you’re curious about the formula and really wanting to try it you might as well get something free!

SPF 50 for Your Lips!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Supergoop! Shine-On Lip Screen

A commonly asked question I get asked whenever review a lip balm or lip treatment would be, “Does it contain SPF?!” Also common? The fact we get really busy protecting our faces and sometimes forget our neck (for the love of beauty please don’t forget your neck!)! Fact, no one wants to walk around with finely lined lips one day so now is a good a time as any to start protecting them.

Supergoop! Shine-On Lip Screen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 ($22) is basically a soft, shiny topcoat that you can apply on top of your favorite lipstick and it instantly creates an invisible UV Shield. Whether or not you run around the house shouting “UV SHIELD ACTIVATED!” after application is entirely up to you. I would, just sayin’. I would also create a cape out of a towel and put my hands on my hips as I said it to evoke my inner super hero.

This is a clear top coat and it provides a water-resistant finish while protecting your lips from the sun. According to SuperGoop’s brand founder,”Dermatologists say that lip gloss is similar to holding a magnifying glass on your lips and can intensify UV rays.”

Whaaaa?! Great now my lipgloss is a magnet for harmful sun rays! Note to self either buy some Supergoop! Shine-On Lip Screen or stop wearing super shiny lipgloss in the sun!

Supergoop! Shine-On Lip Screen is available now to protect your lips at Sephora.com.

Pur Minerals HydraGel Lift Because Your Eyelids Are Dry!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Pur HydraGel Lift

Dry eye lids? Is your eye primer pilling due to that dryness? You need Pur HydraGel Lift ($26) my friend!

Pur Minerals HydraGel Lift hydrating, cooling eye primer. YES! Hydrating! Typically we get our share of creamy primers but none of them really promise moisture! Some promise to mattify oil lids but hydrate? Not really. Eye primer is eye primer and most formulas concentrate on keeping our eyeshadow locked into place but not necessarily much else.

Hydragel Lift takes things further. It hydrates the lid (and if you so please under your eyes as well) so lids looks smoother, brighter, firmed, and more lifted. If your lids aren’t dry but your under eyes are you can swipe this little guy under your eyes in preparation for concealer to add not only moisture but also to firm and smooth the area.

Eye sticks like this aren’t necessarily a new thing but the fact it preps lids as well as under eyes is new and interesting!

What do you think?

Pur Minerals HydraGel is available now at Ulta.com.
