Are You Most Comfortable With Makeup Or Without It?

makeup or no makeup

Ahh the age old question, are you most comfortable with makeup or without it?

I don’t know who you are, what sex you are, what nationality. I don’t know if you’re slim, tall, chuubby, or short. I don’t know if you’re blond or brunette or perhaps a red head. What I do know is you likely have at least one thing that you might just dislike about yourself or something that makes you uncomfortable or insecure. It’s just life. Now I’m personally quite special because I have a MILLION things I don’t like about myself.

My eyebrows, my big giant eyes, my height, my super wavy out of control hair, my puffy eyes, and the list goes on and on and on.

But makeup always makes me feel a little more confident, a little more comfortable, and a little more secure.

Question is, am I most comfortable with makeup or without it?

Herbivore Phoenix Cell Regenerating Facial Oil Review

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Herbivore Phoenix Cell Regenerating Facial Oil

Herbivore Phoenix Cell Regenerating Facial Oil ($88) is one one facial oil to rule them all. I’ve been using facial oil since Josie Maran introduced Argan Oil. There she was, a beacon of light on QVC at 1AM telling me how Argan Oil was going to make me younger, more flawless, and was going to help me maintain my youthful glow.

Up until that point, serum was totally my thing. But after Argan Oil there was no stopping me or any of the number of brands that decided to jump on Josie’s brandwagon and create their own facial oils. And there are plenty to choose from at this point, many of which are my favorite like Clinique Smart Treatment Oil!

But the one facial oil that has come above all facial oils for me is most definitely Herbivore Phoenix Cell Regenerating Facial Oil.

We have such a longstanding relationship that I actually finished an entire bottle and purchased another bottle of this stuff. Like how!? I mean facial oil lasts literally forever. The end of the world might come about before you finish an ounce of facial oil. But somehow, someway I finished an entire bottle and pats on the back were had by all.

Stila Stay All Day Prime & Anti-Shine Balm Review

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Stila Stay All Day Prime & Anti-Shine Balm 5

I waited a crazy amount of time to try out Stila Stay All Day Prime & Anti-Shine Balm ($10). Blame it on the fact I’m quite happy with Mally Face Defender, it’s the only reason I could think of for not picking up Stay All Day Prime & Anti-Shine Balm sooner!

But I’m glad I waited as I was able to get it on sale for $7.50 recently during Stila’s 25% Off sale.

Stila Stay All Day Prime & Anti-Shine Balm is a solid primer slash touch up balm that’s formulated like Mally’s Face Defender as well as Covergirl Tru Magic Skin Perfector Mattifier. If you’re tried either of these products you’re quite familiar already with this formula.

Sephora Cushion Bronzer Arrives

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Sephora Cushion Bronzer

Finally! We’ve been hearing about Sephora I ❤ Cushion Bronzer for a while now and it’s finally here! As far as I know this is the first ever cushion bronzer! I haven’t even seen cushion bronzer coming out of Korea so yeah, exciting and unique.

This cushion bronzer is available in two shade selections and has a light, creamy fluid texture that gives skin a sunkissed glow. It includes a cushion sponge for application as well! Sephora is hitting the cushion makeup world hard for Summer so I expect we’ll see more items pop up as we head deeper into Summer. Right now, I’m in love with their Wonderful Cushion Foundation and I’m about to try their new Wonderful Cushion Matte Lip Cremes (I ordered one yesterday! Awaiting its arrival!).

Shades:

  • Light/Medium
  • Medium/Tan

I’m not really a bronzer kinda girl but I’m tempted enough to want one of these to try!

They are $16 and available now at Sephora.com. Good time to get them at 15% off as today is the last day for the Love Note sale!

What do you think of the cushion craze?

Do you like it?

Do you use any cushions now?

E.L.F. Eyeshadow Primer Goes Pro

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

E.L.F. Pro Eyeshadow Primer

So I’m like the only person around that isn’t really a huge fan of E.L.F. Eyeshadow Primer. I’m sorry, forgive me?

For fans of it you’ll be happy to know that E.L.F. Eyeshadow Primer has gone Pro! Well, maybe you’ll be happy, maybe you won’t because my mentality is, “Don’t fix it, if it isn’t broke!” So E.L.F. Pro Eyeshadow Primer could be a potentially great thing or a bad thing…! You’ll have to try it and see! Of course, it’s a little bit more expensive at $4 versus $2 for the original! Let’s hope it isn’t a case of Wet n Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer!

They market it as a primer that locks on color and prevents fallout as well as creasing and fading with a lighter texture that intensifies eyeshadow color as well as Kaolin Clay to absorb excess oil.

Whatcha think?

Worth a try?

It’s available now at www.elfcosmetics.com.

riddler

P.S. So I started this week’s episode of Gotham but didn’t finish it. But I want to say, Nygma’s jacket! It just needed to be green and my life would have been complete. I’m a huge massive geek for the 1960’s TV series and if you asked me who my favorite villian was from the series it would have to be Frank Gorshin as Riddler. I dunno if it’s because I grew up watching reruns of the show or what but anytime I think of Riddler his face comes to mind. But nowadays Cory Michael Smith has my heart!
