There isn’t ever any GOOD excuse to refrain from reviewing incredible makeup but let me explain my side of the Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume II tale. I know SO many of you have e-mailed begging and pleading for me to review but I kinda wanted to do looks with the palette before reviewing…sigh….sadly my schedule is always jammed tightly packed and I didn’t have that chance to do the looks which is why I’ve been held up with my review.
Don’t hate me k?
Since Urban Decay Friends and Family is on at the moment now is good as any a time to spread the cheer and joy that surrounds Book of Shadows II.
Note before making the jump please know the post is photo intensive. I’d really appreciate it if you not download images from the post as it will bring down my site. I took lots of photos because I know it’s fun to see each and every aspect of a makeup item but it’s also at the cost of possibly causing a problem with my server so please refrain from downloading images, thanks!
My quest for eye cream nirvana led me to H20 Night Oasis Overnight Eye Complex recently. I kinda fell in love with H20 recently and it’s been overtaking the shelves of my washroom and replacing lots of my Lush skincare, gasp, I know I’m such a cheater!
Jump ahead to hear the deets on the eye complex!
Contrary to the Muse’s utmost belief that Strawberry Fields was a legendary journey through Lennon’s head when he was dropping a tab, in actuality it’s a real place that he was talking about. Dontcha just want to believe that half his songs are all about a psychedelic acid trip? John Lennon is like the poster boy for good acid trips a la the un-paranoid journey.
But seriously…Strawberry Fields was the name of a Children’s Home next to John’s childhood home in Woolton. He actually played around the area and in a garden behind the actual home which was indeed named Strawberry Fields.
Dontcha love it? You get a review and FUN facts bout John Lennon. How cool am I?
I won’t bug you further with the details of Strawberry Fields (I know all sorts of fun trivia about the Beatles) but speaking on the topic of strawberries and fields and such is my lead in for Fresh Strawberry Flowers Perfume. Loving all over it lately after purchasing it during Sephora Friends and Family.
Check it after the jump!
I’m trying to figure out what L’Oreal HIP is trying to accomplish with the little hangy hook thing on their Color Presso Gloss. Like…are you supposed to snap it on your keys? Where’s it supposed to hang? What’s the point? They have this really awesome gloss with some weird, obscure packaging going on….FAIL.
Jump ahead to hear me rave, rant, and moan about L’Oreal HIP Color Presso Gloss.
I dunno why…but when I heard about the new Jemma Kidd Mannequin Skin Brightener and Concealer Duo the first thing that popped into my head was that old kid’s show, Today’s Special. Remember that? Totally dating myself here right? Must be the “mannequin” part because I was thinking of that guy Jeff who was a mannequin and came to life at night when the store closed, it was kinda the premise of what Kim Cattrall would later bring to the big screen.
Anyway….if you don’t remember that don’t mind my babblings but I’d be ever so delighted if you all admit you did so I’m not left feeling like the old fart around here.
What was it I was talking about again?
Ahhh yes Jemma Kid Mannequin Skin Brightener and Concealer Duo.
Jump for it!
