As per my original post about how I was cleaning up my washroom and coming across all sorts of cleansers, creams, potions, and lotions from various Asian brands.
Today I’ll be reviewing Kose Softymo Powder Wash Whitening Formula. Did I just hear a yay for whitening? The Muse is all about whitening agents although a majority of them don’t work so well but hey it’s worth a try!
Does Kose Softymo Powder Wash Whitening Formula really whiten?
We’ll see…jump ahead to hear the word!
Kose Softymo Powder Wash is a typical powder wash which comes in a fine powder formula that you add water to in order to develop a sudsy wash for whisking away dirt, oil, and other nasties from your face. It’s one of my favorite powder washes mainly because it’s dead cheap at around $3-$6 USD so really who can’t love that?
I also happen to love it because it’s particularly good at washing away makeup (not eye makeup obviously) without drying out my skin. It contains Aloe Vera which could account for why my skin feels quite nice and moist after use.
Supposedly it clears away dead skin cells while preventing dull skin and offering a “whiten”, “renewed” skin. Sorry, have to disappoint here, but I didn’t experience much in the way of renewal to be honest or whitening of any kind.
Honestly, it’s a great, inexpensive budget powder wash that works great at getting my face clean without investing a ton of cash plus no tightness or dryness after use but that’s about it. Don’t expect bells and whistles as there aren’t any here.
The one plus side of the whitening formula is it doesn’t retain the strange sour milk smell that a majority of Softymo Powder Washes are legendary for. This is an upside for me as I really get a tiny bit turned off by that stench of the other powder washes even though it goes away almost instantly.
All in all if you can find it cheap it’s well worth picking up especially if you like powder washes!
The Muse is a big fan of Lori Greiner as you may already know from my post, upon post, upon post of her awesome storage units!
A majority of my collection of makeup is stashed away in a Lori Greiner organizer or two!
On Lori’s recent QVC appearance she spotlighted one of her new Mirrored Wall Cabinets that I am seriously having a case of the lemmings for!
Looks quite unassuming doesn’t it? Wait till you see what it looks like opened!
Open up this mirrored cabinet and inside lays a spot for just about anything and everything in your cosmetic collection! The entire unit holds 150 pieces of makeup with spots for your lipstick, compacts, brushes, and more!
The cabinet is wall mountable or you can purchase a separate frame that will hold the unit in an upright position for placing on a table or vanity.
The cabinet comes in your choice of finishes (oak, cherry, or white) and is also available in a jewelry version for stashing away accessories, earrings, etc….
I’m dying to purchase the makeup one but I’m trying to be reasonable with my purchasing at the moment! If I do get it expect a review and a rave! It’s $78 USD and available now from QVC using Item Number H06285.
The Muse loves it!
Anything Lorai Greiner is ALWAYS Muse Approved! The Muse thinks she’s aces with her wonderful creations.
The Muse so needs to try out Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Concealer!
Have you see these? Check it!
I rarely get excited about drugstore cosmetics but this looks promising to say the least. When I was purchasing my cheese mascara at Walgreens I ran across a display of these but sadly all the lighter shades were sold out.
I’m generally curious about the product as it reminds me of Laura Mercier or Bobbi Brown’s dual concealers which has the creamy concealer on top and a silky white setting powder on the bottom. I’m not sure but that Flickr photo says $12.79 USD and don’t quote me but I could have sworn it was $8.99 USD around these parts.
Must. have. it. now.
Honestly, it seems promising to say the least and hopefully I can locate it as I’m highly curious if it’s worth the splurge! You know me, concealer gets me happy!
We have Buxom Lips so who says we can’t have Buxom Lash?
Count me intrigued! I generally like Bare Escentuals mascaras (not the ones with the kits though!) so I think I could like Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash.
12 hours of wear without clumping all while darkening lashes with a rich pigment, lengthening, and thickening delivering a bigger, fuller lash look toe eyes.
Supposedly volumizes lashes up to 300%!
Sure does sound promising.
The Muse obviously needs some! Check back for a review soon I’m sure!

Ahh blessed relief from dry, cracked Winter skin! Lierac Hydrofilia Super Creme Corps is a rather fab moisturizer for those days when you’re skin is asking for a pick me up!
Lierac Hydrofilia Super Creme Corps is for very dry skin or for those with keratotic skin. Keratotic is a skin condition that causes small, acne-like bumps on the back, outer sides of the upper arms, thighs, and legs. I don’t have this condition however Lierac Hydrofilia is formulated for extra dry skin and that definitely fits the bill for this Muse.
This body cream is specially formulated for very dry skin types or those with keratotic skin. It’s a moisturizing gel formula with lipid replenishing complex for instant relief and moisture. It diminishes flakes and tightness on contact and works exceedingly well at making my rough elbows and knees feel soft and silky again!
It has quite a beautiful scent to it and the gel like formula absorbs into skin easily and effortlessly. I like that I don’t have to use a whole lot of product to get the moisture I need as a tiny drop goes a long way at healing my dry skin. As with all Lierac products I find the scent quite addicting as it’s a cross between fresh with hints of floral.
A 5oz tub is $36 USD and probably not the cheapest cream around however it does an amazing job at making my dry skin feel instant relief so I’ll definitely purchase again when I run out.
All in all another fab fine from Lierac!
