The Muse is a terrible highbrow highlighter. She tends to forget to attack her highbrow some time and add a bit of highlight to it so her eyes will really pop! Thank gawd for Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Lights Shimmer, makes a Muse’s life easier.
I dunno if I’m lazy or just forgetful but sometimes I do so forget to highlight my highbrow, ok so I forget alot of the time, sue me. I really should remember because I find it allows me to blend into my crease better if I highlight my highbrow after I’ve done my crease. It also lends a bit of pop to my eyes and completes the look fully. Since I’m such a laze doing this I’m ever so thankful for Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Lights Shimmer which comes in a pencil with a creamy formula it makes me a little less forgetful and alot less likely to be lazy about taking care of my highbrow.
The pencil isn’t only used for the highbrow though it lends a soft, satiny shimmer to not only eyes but cheeks and lips too if you so please. The convenient pencil makes it easy to swipe it wherever you need a little bit of highlighting. The shade is a soft sandy off gold with a nice hint of shimmer. It pretty much works with virtually all warm shades but a few cooler shades it might not pair up with as easily. I’m partial to how easy it blends out and creates just a nice cast of shimmer to my brow area. I haven’t yet used it on cheeks or lips but it’s become my go to for quickly highlighting my brow. Plus did I mention it’s available in one shade? No hard choices to make phew! You know the Muse she wants to buy every shade, this makes it easy for me.
If you’re looking for a quick way to highlight check out Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Lights Shimmer! Likey!
Oh Guerlain you make me want to take a trip beyond the sea!
The Muse is hyperventilating over the new Guerlain Summer Splash Collection and can barely wait to get to a store to haul it all. It’s too pretty for mere words.
Guerlain Summer Splash is an ode to the cool blue of the ocean and gorgeous golden sand of a beach. Pairing shimmering sandy gold shades with bright pops of teal, aqua, and ocean blue creates a beautiful Summer look that’s sure to please. The Muse is quite excited about the entire collection.

You probably noticed the Muse doesn’t do many nail posts around here which brings me to today’s Musings of the Day!
Are you a nail girl? Do you love painting your nails? Going to the salon to have ‘em done?
Tell me about it and jump ahead for my reply!
Nope, the Muse isn’t a nail girl. She has a nasty habit of biting her nails plus she rarely paints ‘em! Gasp! Horror! I do try to make time for a mani but for the most part my nails are polish-free. I’m so jealous of people who have pretty nails and paint ‘em all pretty. Sad sigh!
It’s probably the one area of my life that I don’t pay alot of attention too. I’m all about cosmetics but I’m def not a nail girl!
For the most part we all reach for our concealers come morning and start dabbing away under our eyes trying to make ourselves look like we had 10 hours of sleep when in fact we had only 6 (shhh I won’t tell if you don’t). While you’re busy concentrating under your eyes you may forget the lid area. A little highlighting and concealing on your lid can do a world of difference to make you look wide awake and fresh! Which is where Trish McEvoy Base Essentials comes into play.
Check ahead for the review!
Trish McEvoy Base Essentials is a waterproof eye base that preps your lids for eye shadow but that’s not all! This incredible multitasking tool also evens out dull lids, redness, or discoloration to create the perfect canvas for your makeup while waking up your tired eyes and making you look refreshed. You don’t have to wear shadow over Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials, you can simply dab a few dots on, blend, and walk out of your house looking natural and flawless.
Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials makes a great base and keeps shadows fresh and crease-free all day long but the Muse thinks it’s a nifty little concealer for masking my exhaustion and replacing it with fresh, awake eyes. Although I’m a fond fan of Benefit Lemon Aid for this very reason I felt like the Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials did just as good a job with a better packaging than Lemon Aid. The base comes in a gloss style tube with sponge application, sweet, no fingers in my product! Swipe a little on, blend with a fingertip, and you’re ready to rumble.
The formula is an interesting matte cream that should appeal to anyone with terribly oily eyes as it dries down to a matte, powder-like finish that keeps shadows from slipping and sliding off the eye area. Likey!
You may wonder why you need to even bother with this when you can do the same with concealer? Concealers are very creamy and moisturizing and meant for the skin UNDER your eye where as products like Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials are specifically targeted to your upper eye area. The formula is considerably different when compared to a normal concealer.
If you’re looking for something to wake up your tired eyes that also acts as a great base to adhere shadow to your lids making it vibrant, waterproof, and crease-free, the Muse highly suggests snagging some Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials!
