There is something so seriously addicting about Steam Cream tins! Steam Cream has introduced two new tins for Spring 2009 which are completely adorable and currently have a honorary place among my skincare.
Check it out after the jump!
I won’t rattle your ears with tons and tons of raves about Steam Cream however I will remind you, if you missed it, do check out my big review of Steam Cream by clicking here!
Now onto the good stuff!
For Spring 2009, two new tins have been introduced to the Steam Cream line up which are Papilon and Porky Rabbit. Papilon is a beautiful brightly colored butterfly on the lid of the cream and a surrounding base of bright hues! Gorgeous for Spring! Truly lovely. Porky Rabbit, my personal favorite, is a big fat pink rabbit with a flower in his mouth on the lid and the surrounding base has a beautiful pink dot theme with cute little flowers.
These new designs are currently selling at a discount rate of £8.65! Yay Steam Cream!
Porky Rabbit and Papilon are available now from Steam Cream but who knows how long they’ll remain in stock so do grab them before they are gone for good! The Muse is partial to Porky Rabbit he’s so cute and unique.

I know plenty of you have ordered recently and I’m quite excited to hear what you think!
You know how they made Resident Evil into a movie and it kinda sorta blows? Don’t get the Muse wrong she lurves zombies in just about any format she can get ‘em! However, the moral of her story is she thinks that making popular video games into movies is normally pretty darn taboo, same goes for comic books by the very way (aside from Iron Man that is, Robert Downey Jr equals ridiculous hotness. He’s proof that things do get better with age!).
Another words sometimes it’s best to stick to what you know….

So….count the Muse skeptical that a bottled water company is out there putting out lip gloss.
I mean come on, stick to what you know! Bottled water…cosmetics…hmmm different…right?
Turns out Aquafina actually succeeds at creating quality water and awesome cosmetics too! Yay Aquafina!
I recently tried out Aquafina Hydrating Lip Oil and I’m officially hooked! Cheap as day old chips this gloss is the new awesome in my life. Created using calming natural botanicals the gloss or “oil” is a nice shiny, glossy formula that glides onto lips leaving behind a mirror finish. Now I don’t think that Aquafina had any plans for busting into the gloss world with this particular product however it’s bloody good stuff and as I mentioned cheap as all hell.
Packaging together awesome moisture, shine, and good for you ingredients like sweet almond and jojoba oil it moisturizes, protects, and heals dry lips in a quick swipe! I seriously could not put this down and almost went through an entire tube in one day since I was reapplying every two seconds because I liked how awesome it felt on my lips.
The texture kinda sorta feels like a cross between a gel, an oil, and water all rolled into one. This particular combination makes the product a tad bit on the runny side and I felt like application every hour or two was in order as it kept running around on my lips. But honestly that shouldn’t be a problem considering it’s a “treatment” and not really a gloss. I’ve taken to wearing it after I wash my face and I’m about to turn in for the night as it treats my dry lips and makes them nice and soft when I wake up in the AM.
One thing I absolutely hated about the product but slowly grew to love was the taste. The product smells and tastes like heavy duty menthol…kinda tastes like you’re slapping some Vics on your lips or something. It tingles a tiny but and for the most part the minty menthol is a bit strong and took me time to get used to. After a while I simply grew to love the taste, so much so I was chewing the gloss off almost as soon as it was on my lips. Bad Muse, bad!
This is one of those products that you simply must try as you’ll undoubtedly fall fully in love with it. The Muse is kinda sorta hoping that she’ll develop a case of chapped lips soon so this could cure her woes!
The Muse Approves this in a major way and tells you to get some as soon as possible! Really, really good stuff! Loves it!
I’ve seen a three pack at Walgreens for $3.99 USD
Quite a nice beauty budget find and well worth your time!

If you’re looking for a fun, flirty little scent that’s not hard on the budget, the Muse suggests trying out C-Thru Fragrances!
Geared towards teens this new line of fragrances is actually created by a division of Estee Lauder, yes you read that correctly, Estee Lauder! And guess what? They are available at your local Walmart, Kohls, and Target which means the price tag is itty bitty!
Although they were created with young women in mind the Muse doesn’t mind indulging in something so cute and fun. These are available in three fun scents which are Ruby, Blue Opal, and Purple Diamond. Which gem are you?
Ruby is a blend of peach, rose and vanilla and comes across as the fruitier of the scents. Blue Opal is a watery floral with hints of watermelon and lilac…personally I get heavy floral from it but nothing overkill more fresh and clean. And Purple Diamond is blackcurrant and jasmine with hints of musk.
Each scent is priced to own at $17 USD upwards to $25 USD.
The bottles are funky, bold shades of purple, aqua, and pink with clear crystal beads embedded into the actually fragrance. The effect of the crystals creates a lava lamp style packaging that’s quite fun for anyone who likes a bit of color and funk when it comes to their fragrances.
Although these are Eau de Toilette I do so promise that they are STRONG! Phew! One spray is plenty to keep you going from day to night without any touch ups in between. Surprising quality for an EDT considering my skin normally sucks EDT’s right up within an hour. These last pretty much all day with one minor spray so please do keep it light and fresh with one squirt!
Along with a unique blend each fragrance also has it’s own personality. Ruby is for someone who’s passionate, confident, and strong! Purple Diamond is meant for those who are mysterious! And Blue Opal is an expression of spirituality and balance.
If you can’t decide which C-Thru fragrance you are why not try all three by purchasing the C-Thru Fragrance Set which contains all three “gems” for $20 bucks! Sweet beauty on a budget buy!
C-Thru can be purchased at Walmart, Kohls, and Target.

The Muse likes the bees.
She thinks their kinda cute with there fuzzy little butts and yellow and black coat. Be serious…when you see one of those big old yellow bumble bees floating around a flower dontcha just want to pet him? He’s all fuzzy and hairy and cutes! But of course chances are he’ll stick you with his stinger given half the chance so best not go around petting bees.
You know you can love the bees just for the simple fact that they make beeswax for us! Beeswax is a natural wax made by those fuzzy little bees in the cell walls of the honeycombs. This natural emulsifier is used in cosmetics…and happens to be a main ingredient for one of the items in The Muse’s Purse, Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm!
The Muse appears to be partial to lip balms in a tin even though she’s terribly anal about germs and bacteria but she can’t resist the cute yellow tin of Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm that she totes around with her daily (no worries it comes in a tube too if you prefer!).
This natural lip balm moisturizes my lips and keeps them from drying out with a cool minty taste and plenty of emollient ingredients like lanolin, coconut oil, and sunflower oil all of which seal in hydration thanks to those bees that made the beeswax base! Thanks guys I knew you were around for a good reason, buzz buzz!
$3 USD can’t break your bank…The Muse highly suggest nabbing one to keep the even chapped lips at bay.
One of my very fav balms!
