NYX Cosmetics had a rather massive Spring/Summer 2014 launch with MANY new products so it’s exciting that they have even more new products popping up today. NYX Cosmetics Skin Elixirs are a new primer available in two formulations that balance and renew skin.

L’Oreal’s beauty portfolio is about to get bigger as they are about to acquire and buy out NYX Cosmetics. It is undisclosed how much L’Oreal paid for NYX but none the less NYX Cosmetics will shortly be apart of the L’Oreal family.
RRTnews reports, “NYX is a dynamic company that has done a tremendous job of harnessing the power of social media, digital marketing and multi-channel distribution. Both L’Oréal and NYX share a passion for innovation and a confidence in the strength and vitality of the color cosmetics market,” said Frédéric Rozé, President and CEO of L’Oréal USA.
The brand will continue with their current leadership team and remain a California based brand!
I doubt much will change for NYX when this deal is finalized. I’m not an expert on cruelty free beauty but NYX is currently cruelty free and I imagine it will remain so after the acquisition.
What are your thoughts on L’Oreal buying out NYX Cosmetics?
I always like browsing the Sephora France website and coming across not only new beauty from brands I already know and love but also discovering products we might get or haven’t yet gotten here in the US.
Take a look at these Sephora Artist’s Blush! as they are on my list of “Things I Want from Sephora France”

L’Oreal Anti-Redness Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream is one of two new correcting “BB Cream” formulas that L’Oreal recently introduced to the US market for Fall 2014 that will be a permanent part of the Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream Collection (these launched in the UK several months ago so they aren’t a new product merely new to our market).
I think “BB Cream” is a little misleading as these are more of a correcting primer of sorts as they do not offer any coverage merely prep skin for makeup. The L’Oreal Anti-Redness Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream was created to ease redness and even out skin tone.
