Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Instant Perfector 4-In-1 Glow Makeup ($12.99) is a new highlighter that has a 4-in-1 formula that acts to prime, concealer, and highlighter skin while it evens out your skin tone and provides light coverage. Sounds a lot like what Hourglass was attempting with Veil Retouching Fluid.
I never get on board with these damn things! The whole we’ll prime, concealer, highlighter, and provide coverage to your skin makes me cringe! Typically, the formulas end up being a one trick pony. But hey, Maybelline, get the hell over here and prove a girl wrong.
As with all the Instant Age Rewind products this comes with a built-in sponge applicator. I imagine it’ll be that thin, slightly runny consistency we get from Instant Age Rewind Concealer which I still haven’t made peace with. I purchased Instant Age Rewind when Maybelline introduced it way back in 2011. I was the girl b1tching about it being greasy. Am I the only one that feels that way about the formula? I ALWAYS try so hard to understand the hype that youTubers give it but I never quite get there! It’s creamy yes, it feels sort of hydrating (but more greasy to me), and it blends ok…but there’s just something weird about the texture that I hate. They should have discontinued this and kept on Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer. That stuff with the bomb dot com.
Anyway enough ranting….
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Instant Perfector 4-In-1 Glow Makeup is available in four shades and should be popping up shortly in drugstores! Ulta.com already has it in stock.
Do you think you’ll try it it?
