Not Me Hating On the Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 5

Anastasia Beverly Hills is set to launch the Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 5 this June for Summer 2021. The palette includes 25 pigmented shades of lilac, purple, pink,, brown, and orange shades in matte, satin, and multi-dimensional sparkle finishes.

As with all the Pro Pigment Palettes this was curated by Norvina personally and will be $60 with a cruelty-free formula that’s vegan. It arrives in a lilac case with a generously sized mirror.

I’m actually terrified of it. Let me correct that, all the Pro Pigment Palettes terrify me. I just never got on board with the, It’s too much color in one place for me. I feel overwhelmed and always feel like the shades just don’t really vibe well or match up the way I want them too! I’m boring like that I guess. I mean, I love purple and I think it’s some kind of wonderful for my brown eyes but I see this and visibly cringe because it feels like I’ll blend all the shades right into one muddy finish. I simply don’t have the level of skill needed to apply this palette. I will add some positivity to the post and say this is probably one of the more cohesive palettes she’s done. Most of them are really all over the board but this seems a bit better. I still think it falls victim to being palettes like Naked Cherry where it’s just too much of one shade and you end up not getting enough definition and contrast because of that.

I’m also, really over big palettes lately. Not to mention I really hate pigment palettes that are not eye safe and ranting moment here, I hate brands who don’t disclose that fact or use a very small warning on the back of the label to tell their consumers about it. I don’t feel I need this level of purple in my life right now.

On a positive note, I’ve always associated purple with Norvina so, this palette really brings that to the table. But again, the Pro Pigment Palettes just aren’t my deal! So sadly, this one fails to excite me.

It also feels like these shades already appeared in some of the past Pro Pigment Palettes.

Does the Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 5 excite you?

Bare Minerals Mineralist Eyeshadow Palettes Look Chalky, Dry, and Boring

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

These new Bare Minerals Mineralist Eyeshadow Palettes look chalky, dry, and boring! Oops! I said it! The new Bare Minerals Mineralist Eyeshadow Palette launched in six shade selections for Summer 2021 and include six shades of eyeshadow each. These vegan friendly palettes are filled with velvety mattes and luminous satins according to Bare Minerals but let’s be honest these promo images oh mah ga! They simply are not it.

They ain’t kidding about being “minimalist”. I’ll be the first to admit they have that Sephora Collection vibe to them! You know when Sephora gets all wild and crazy and does these cutesy $10 buck palettes from time to time. That’s the vibe that I’m getting from these.

I’ll readily admit that Gen Nude Blonzer Blush + Bronzer set a promising stage for Bare Minerals Summer 2021 launches but these eyeshadow palettes….! Cringe. It’s just too basic for me. I wish brands would just go back to single shade releases for the seasons. I would mind a round up of say three to six shades that I can pick and choose from. It doesn’t have to be eyeshadow palettes all the time.

But hey, as the fondest fan of the old Bare Minerals 8.0 Palettes I’m going to give Bare Minerals Mineralist Eyeshadow Palettes a fair shot and let them prove me wrong.

As I said these are available in six different shade selections each of which contain six shades with matte and satin shades!

Shades include:
Ultranatural: cool rose, taupe and brown shades
Sunlit: warm bronze, copper and golden tones
Rosewood: warm pink, rose and peach shades
Burnished: warm peach, amber and charcoal brown shades
Heathered: cool-toned mauve, lilac and violet shades
Stonewashed: cool-toned blue, gray and taupe shades

Honest opinion. What do you think of the Bare Minerals Mineralist Eyeshadow Palettes?

Bare Minerals Mineralist Eyeshadow Palettes are available now.

Selfless by Hyram Is Supposed to Launch Today

Selfless by Hyram is a new skincare collection created by skincare guru, Hyram Yarbro. I didn’t even know who Hyram was until I got on Tiktok last year during lock down. Now my FYP is filled with a combination of skincare gurus like Hyram, my online crushes, and cosplayers (particularly the fetishized Mando and Kylo Ren (Patrick, I am so talking to you dude! Sorry, I know Kylo makes you uncomfy lately but I love him!!).

Anyway, if you asked me about a celebrity or influencer launching a skincare collection and who I’d love to do one two people come to mind. Number 1, Renée, Gothamista because fact, she knows skincare. If I need to trust my skin to someone she’s the lady I’m trusting! Number 2, Hyram…! I’d trust him with my skin which really makes me super curious about his new Selfless Skincare Collection.

Update: It will be available at sephora.com! The brand was created in collaboration with the Inky List.

I have so many questions Hyram! Is the brand going to be affordable? Is it going to be a complete routine? Will there be different formulas for different skin types? Is it an extensive collection or a small release? Will it be available at any major retailers? I really need to know.

Sadly, Hyram has released absolutely no details. It’s a very hush hush release. Today is officially the launch date from my understanding but I’m not sure if the means he’ll just release info about the brand or if we’ll actually be able to buy it.

I do know one thing. Hyram is pretty dedicated to ingredients, performance, and understands skincare very well so, I have really high expectations for this launch.

When more info becomes available I’ll be sure to share.

And of course, I’ll buy some to try out for myself.

What do you think about Hyram launching a skincare?

Do share!

Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette Sadly Brings Nothing New

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Oh Patrick I adore you but not another nude eyeshadow palette! Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette arrives June 3rd at sephora.com and it’s a stunning palette nude eyeshadow palette featuring 12 warm and “cool” shades in two formulations of cream and powder. The luminous cream bases (two appear in this palette) act as primers for the matte and metallic shades to intensify the shades.

A few people have pointed out the palette looks a lot like the recent Too Faced Teddy Bare It All Eyeshadow Palette but I think this runs a lot warmer.

I think the palette is gorgeous but I feel rather badly I can probably dupe every single shade here because I own all the damn brown eyeshadows on the planet. I don’t see a single shade here that I can’t dupe. I just have that many nude eyeshadows in my stash. It makes me question whether I need to dish out $68 on this.

I did find the brown-based cream eyeshadows interesting. That might be what makes the palette unique but also, a pain for some people who dislike having creams and powders making an appearance in the same palette.

Patrick is a god and such a humble artist and I feel bad I’m not throwing my money at the Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette but it’s been done and done again….!

I think I have to see this in person before making a decision but right now I’m leaning towards a solid no on this one.

How about you?

Do you love the Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette?

Need it?

Or leave it?
