I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

It must be Summer because Urban Decay All Nighter Softening Loose Setting Powder just launched. This is a new matte loose, translucent finishing powder that acts to control shine as it sets makeup.

Psstt….

C’mere.

Closer.

The top secret formula is…. silica and talc!

This is a simple silica and talc powder. Ok, we’ll give them some props, it does contain hyaluronic acid but that’s lower in the ingredient list. So, there’s actually nothing to see here kids. Just a simple, sheer, transparent setting powder. Obviously using that “All Nighter” tag will gain them a few points as people associate it with All Nighter Setting Spray and since that’s such a fan favorite people will automatically migrate towards this powder.

For those interested Urban Decay All Nighter Softening Loose Setting Powder will set your makeup, is a vegan and cruelty-free formula, controls shine, provides lightweigt coverage, and has a silky formula that leaves skin smooth without looking dry.

Urban Decay All Nighter Softening Loose Setting Powder is $29 and available now.

Flower Beauty Chill Out Summer 2021 Collection

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The Flower Beauty Chill Out Summer 2021 Collection arrived at ulta.com today and with it a new Chill Out Smoothing Color Corrector which I want. Chill Out Smoothing Color Corrector is available in three shades and is a peach toned corrector to neutralize dark circles. Full disclosure here but Flower Beauty has never been by go to for concealer. Their formulas do disappoint! Not sure if I should jump on this one as I’m concerned it’s going to be dry as hell. Plus I really do hate correcting and concealing. It’s just so overkill! I’d rather have my concealer act as my correct as well. Who knows this might be some incredible formula! It does contain CBD as well as Vitamin E and jojoba extract for moisture.

What do you think? Worth a try?

Here’s the other items available in the Flower Beauty Chill Out Collection!

Hey, How Much SPF Are You Using Anyway? Is Too Much Consumerism?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

How much SPF do you really need to use on your face? How much SPF are you using? Your minimum daily dose is an SPF 30 and should be about one teaspoon of sunscreen for your face. Most of us don’t apply that much. Why are we applying less? Because sunscreen can be uncomfortable! Too heavy, too greasy, too much of a white cast, too much alcohol…

But the fact of the matter is sunscreen has become a major staple in our routines and we’ve somehow been conditioned to believe without it we’ll burst into flames and die a horrible death. I’m here to tell you that you won’t burst into flames, you won’t die a horrible death, and you’ll be ok with an SPF 30 (there are exceptions).

I found it funny when I was recently reading some comments on an Instagram account I follow which said that if you aren’t using a tube of SPF ever 20 days you probably aren’t applying enough. Someone chimed in right away and said it was consumerism to recommend that much. I actually disagree. I do think when it comes to SPF more is much better. Keep in mind this account was not trying to sell anything, they weren’t using affiliate links….It’s just a matter of being safe and making sure you’re well covered with your SPF.

Do I use a full tube of SPF every 20 days?
