FREE Missha Deluxe Sampler Set Review

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 6

Hey chicks!

So you think you want to delve into the mysterious world of BB Creams? Maybe you want to try your hand at Korean Makeup?

The Muse has the solution.

The brand new Missha Deluxe Sampler available now from Missha USA and it’s FREE. Yes, indeed, you read that correctly. You can enjoy Missha Cosmetics, Skincare, and cult BB Creams right from the comfort of the U S of A without ever having to fly to Korea or beg a friend or forum mate to snag you some.

Jump for it!

A few months ago I introduced you to Missha’s US portal site which sells many wonderful beauty finds from Missha right within the US. When I first started blogging Asian makeup many, many moons ago much of it was never available online. As my blog evolved many brands suddenly started popping up with US portals, Missha happens to be one such brand. It’s with such joy that I tell you about this as Korean Makeup (and Asian Makeup in general) holds such a special place in my heart and having the ability to share that with you and offer a store that has much of it readily available for you to purchase from is true bliss.

There are two things that set Asian makeup apart from US brands. 1. Quality and 2. Affordability. I don’t think we can honestly say that that these two things are combined easily in the US market. Quality normally comes with a costly price tag in most cases and it’s rare you’re able to enjoy beautiful base and point makeup pieces that are both inexpensive and incredible in regards to quality.

For a limited time, while supplies last, Missha is offering it’s Deluxe Sampler Set free of charge (you pay shipping only). This is a great way to try out some of what Missha offers. In order to get the Missha Deluxe Sampler Set you simply head to www.misshaus.com, register on the site, and add the coupon to your cart (see my directions on the bottom of this post). After that you pay shipping and handling and Missha will send along your free set. Now you can also get the sampler free with free shipping by placing a $40 order or more if you want as well!

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 7

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 9

The sampler includes all of the following items:

  • Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream
  • Missha BB Boomer
  • Missha M Luminous Color Lip Gloss SPF 10 (Attach it to your cell phone with the small strap!)
  • Missha M Perfect Cover Deep Cleansing Oil
  • Missha Super Aqua Detoxifying Peeling Gel

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 17

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 19

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream is a fav of mine from Missha. I have a full size and generally enjoy this one. It’s a good way to get your feet wet in the BB Cream department as it’s one of the few that adjusts to skin tone very well. It starts out an ugly beige but adjusts very well to my tone. It does whiten skin, repairs wrinkles (not sure if that works or not as I do not have fine lines as of yet on my face), and also offers a high SPF of 42. The natural beige shade, as I mentioned, adjusts quite well for medium skin types. If you’re fair it might possibly work as well and adjust accordingly but you may need to test a bit to see. It has a smooth, creamy texture that blends seamlessly. Like most BB, it does not oxidize quickly so it wears very long, longer than normal foundation would.

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 14

To accompany your BB is Missha’s BB Boomer which brightens, moisturizers, preps, and primers prior to applying your BB Cream. I also happen to have a large size of this as well and like it very well. It has a slightly pink iridescent cast so it does offer some highlighting as well.

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 12

Missha Perfect BB Deep Cleansing Oil is a rather fab oil cleanser that can easily replace your Shu version for about 75% less in price. It works well at removing everything and anything including waterproof mascara.

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 13

This is my first try with the Missha Super Aqaua Detoxifying Peeling Gel. Within the US we depend on exfoliating scrubs much of the time to do away with dead skin cells, the idea of a peeling gel hasn’t really reached our shores as of yet. I normally use a few different peeling gels but as I said this is my first try with Missha’s version. Basically it’s an after treatment when your skin is dry and clean. You apply a generous amount and slowly rub it in. As you rub it begins to peel off your face as it peels it removes dead skin cell and impurities. It’s quite nice, doesn’t dry my skin out, and makes my skin look brighter and happier after use.

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 15

And finally you’ll get a mini key charm of Missha’s new Color Lipgloss. The sample is too tiny to tell if I love it or not but so far the shade is lovely and shimmery! Must get a full size of this to test fully but I love having something on my key ring or around my cell phone for quickie touch ups.

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 11

Missha Deluxe Sampler Set 10

Overall, the kit is a great way to introduce yourself to Asian base products and skincare plus hey it’s free, can’t beat that price.

Visit www.misshaus.com to view some of their offerings. You’ll be happy you did as they have a slew of very inexpensive, gorgeous skincare and cosmetics.

DIRECTIONS:

Ok, before I leave you just wanted to give you some brief directions for using the coupon to get the sampler free. First off you should head to the main portal at www.misshaus.com and register first. After this go to and all the way to the bottom click add coupon. Once you’ve done this it will probably set you to a blank page, don’t panic. Go to your Missha account and inside there will be two coupons, one for the free sampler and one for 20% off your first order. I haven’t tried yet but you might be able to use both coupons if you order that way you can get free shipping ($40 or more for this), 20% Off, and your free sampler. Again, I haven’t tried to combine the coupons but I’m thinking you might be able to. Just for the sampler it’s $8.99 for shipping via ground postal. I think it’s worthy of the $9 buck as the samples are quite a nice size however if you have some spare cash I’d cruise their site and see if you can gather up $40 bucks of stuff and get the free shipping and sampler plus if it’s possible the 20% Off, just a suggestion.

What great news. I love Missha and love even more that I can walk out with a bag full of stuff for less than the equivalent of $30! In Korea they also throw lots of freebies and samples with purchases, thus fuelling the addiction. One thing for your darker skinned readers though: anyone over an NC30 will find the BB creams really pale. Even though I’m Korean, I can’t wear BB creams as I’m NC35-ish and they look pale and ghostly on me (even Missha’s shade 23 which is the darker one).

  • Vonvon

Wow!! That’s a really cool offer, good way to introduce a brand which is new in a particular market. Brilliant idea!

But very seldom we have such great offers over here. May be 1 or 2 samples, good for 1 use, and that’s all. 😉

    • the Muse

I thought it was really generous and the $8 bucks or so for shipping wasn’t too bad Von Von 😀

Awww poo! Samples are really kinda good here, particularly sephora as lately they really load you up!

  • myolie

just went to the site and ordered the sample. i am sooo excited to try it thanks.

  • Chloe

This looks so nice! I will order one too. They are actually all my favorites from Missha! ^^ Thanks Muse!

  • Jeweled Thumb

The 20% works with the free sample set. AND they have several Halloween sets on markdown, AND there is a free gift with purchase for $30, $60 and $90 worth of purchase.

      • Jeweled Thumb

I have to admit, that I’m a blog stalker and never comment but I love your blog. Gave you some link love even though I have like no followers. =)

  • jojo

I love you Muse! These are the kind of things you will not find in other beauty blogs. I am so glad I found your site. I love that you talk about brands in asia, on hsn and qvc on top of everything else, I can pretty much find everything here. I got the free sample set with two makeup palettes with the 20% off, what a great deal to finally try BB cream and all the other interesting stuff. Thanks Muse!

    • the Muse

fantastic jojo! Great hauling hun! Please stop back and tell me what you think hun!

Aww your made my night with your awesome comment/compliment! I love everything beauty 😀 and I love bringing it all to you guys who appreciate it as much as I do!

big squishy hugs for making my night!

      • jojo

Hi Muse, this is what I think!

Not too excited about the BB Boomer and BB cream together after one try…..it does not even out my skintone for me which is strange because I thought it covers better than foundation, definitely doesn’t do anything for my dark circles. The cleansing oil is nice and I like it better than my shu uemura that I am using right now.

However…the products I got just to try out and get free shipping exceeded my expectations!! Love the makeup palette both the lip and eye colors. The lip colors give me this pastel peachy nude lips that I always like on other ppl but I cannot pull it off, with this I can! I was able to use the cream shadow as a blush as well and it lasted through a work day. The eye colors suit my skin color very well and needs almost no blending to have a blended look..not sure if that makes sense. Love it! Wish I can show you pictures here. 🙂

Thanks again for introducing this to us!

        • the Muse

          hey jojo!

Sorry to hear it hun! I’m always puzzled when peeps say that BB is great for dark circles as it def does not do any good for my dark circles either. Must say the cleansing oil is a great deal! so happy you enjoyed the makeup and bits you hauled that’s fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 Send some pictures babe! I’d love to see your haul!

          My pleasure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • su-pah

ooh, too bad this isn’t available to us o/s of the US.
    i love BB creams.
muse, have you tried any by the face shop? they are marvellous. was wondering how they might compare with missha? would you know?
some of etude house’s bb’s have been let downs, i’m hoping to try this brand once i run out of my current stash.
    (i get mine from bbcreamqueen. 😀 )

    • the Muse

      hi su-pah!

me too 🙂 I have tried from the face shop I actually have a big review post coming up on BB’s very soon which compares and such 😀

BBcreamqueen is a little too expensive for me 🙂

I really normally like the etude house ones!

  • Smirking Valet

Muse, firstly I wanted to say, I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now, and I think it’s fabulous! I’m always so eager to see the next item you review!!!

Now my question. These BB creams sound amazing, but I wonder if there are any places in the NYC area to get them. Maybe Koreatown or out in Flushing? Any thoughts? After all, makeup obsessed New Yorkers have to stick together!!

    • the Muse

hey smirking! thanks hunny!!!!!!!!!! *hugs* You’re awesome!

I personally haven’t had any experience running into BB’s in and around NY. I’m in Flushing alot as my friend owns a game shop on Northern BLVD but I honestly never really seen BB creams around, not even in Manhattan really. I do see bits and pieces of cosmetics around but not alot sadly! If I ever do I’ll post babe!

      • BB Lover

Missha has its store in Queens Center Mall, Elmhurst and they have all kinds of BB Creams.
I received an email from the store that they are having a HUGE sale for Thanksgiving. You should check out the store in Queens Center Mall.

        • the Muse

oh that’s awesome thanks for the heads up BB Lover. Maybe I’ll try to hit up the store 🙂

  • Jin

I’m so envious of those in the US! Missha pulled out of Singapore before I went all BB cream crazy. So I didn’t try any of theirs at all. u__u” you’ve made me itchy now – I need to go look for some samples to try out XD Just curious, those the Boomer have dimethicone in it? Does it make skin matte?

    • the Muse

omg jin that stinks! 🙁 Not sure about the dimethicone but def not mattifying, it’s more a booster and highlighter, creamy.

  • Ana

I ordered the free sample too! I also bought The Style silky soft foundation and eye brightener :] Would you recommend some of your favorite Missha products? I’m tempted to just buy them all because they’re so affordable! haha

  • Mitsuko

wow this is awesome! 😀 thanks a lot. and shipping is only $5.99 for me O.o

  • Lisa

Omg thank you so much for this. I clicked to your site from temptalia and I’m so glad I did. I know I’m late in the game for it, but it was still available. Thanks! Giving you some link love too =)

    • the Muse

hi lisa be careful as this post is quite old and they did say it was for a limited time. perhaps email before ordering hun!

      🙂

      thanks!
      Hugs!

  • kiki

i really want to try the red bb cream but its my first time on missha’s website so i am still a little confused. i signed up and they brought me to the my account page how can i access the sample? can you guys help? TY!! :]

  • tak

Hey there. I saw your articles on reviews of cosmetics and I initially thought maybe you were of either Korean heritage or Asian heritage. I was pleasantly surprised to see a non-Asian raving about Asian cosmetic products. In any case, I’m a Korean guy and have known about the Asian cosmetic industry for years now (yes, I use a slight bit of bb cream and maintain my face). It’s the first time that I’ve come across a solid website that is both straight forward and thorough. Your reviews seem non-biased to me and I believe your reviews and sale notices are great for people. Simply put, you definitely have one of the better websites out there. Also, there are TONS of other companies you may not have heard of in Japan and Korea unless you travel there yourself. I frequent both countries often, esp Korea to visit my family and Japan to visit my girlfriend. If you’d like I’ll gladly pick up any samples along the way and inform you of any new companies that are worth looking into.

  • Sesame

I ordered this on 1/25 and have received it and used it for about 2 weeks already.

The only item I haven’t used yet is the Peeling Gel, but I feel like I’m breaking out from using the Boomer and BB Cream. T__T;; I thought the Boomer was supposed to be a primer so it’d be fine, but for some reason I’m really breaking out! It could be some other reason, because I really liked the coverage and the feel on my face, I’m hoping. I haven’t really worn make-up ever before (I’m a youngin) so I’m figuring out what’s what.

    • the Muse

hey sesame the boomer is pretty heavily fragranced maybe that’s what is causing your break out? stop using the boomer for a little bit and see if it clears up and proceed to use the bb without the boomer after your face is cleared see if that helps? 🙂

  • angela

I just got the sample plus shipping and handling was only 5.99! i’m so happy:D

  • wuwu

after i read your post, i hurried and order a kit. yay BB creams! sadly the peel gel and boomer did not work so well for me (illuminated my pores and made me break out) but the packaging and scents were lovely.

  • Ally

This is a great deal! And as of today, it’s still available. So thanks Muse. I’m very excited about my sampler!

  • jerseygrrrl78

When I first found this site I had no clue what a BB cream was but was curious since I’m not a foundation wearer and have always gleaned towards tinted moisturizers. Out of curiosity I ordered the Missha sample set (why not, it’s free!!) and, well, what can I say…WOW! The BB cream is way better than any tinted moisturizer I have ever used and the BB Boom looks just as lovely on it’s own when set with a light powder. I had never used a cleansing oil before and was very pleased with the results of the one included in the kit. At first I thought it was kind of greasy and was afraid it would leave a residue but it rinsed away clean and left my skin soft. I think I’m actually going to order full sizes of these products when my samples run out 🙂

    • the Muse

this is fab jerseygrrrl happy to hear how you’re loving BB’s yayayayay! This is so fab 😀 you’ve discovered not only bbs but cleansing oil and a great bb primer too 😀

  • Grace Kutney

First, thank you for a great site! I was in the hospital on bedrest for six weeks to prevent pre-term labor (and doing well!), and reading your posts was like a little treat every day.
I got this Missha sample pack – it came in very handy in the hospital – and really enjoyed it. I particularly liked the Boomer. I’m wondering how you’d compare it to the Shills Perfect Brightening Primer?

    • the Muse

hi grace aw shucks thanks 😀 Congrats on your new little one to be! 😀 So fab you are enjoying this little set 😀 I like the shills better, my dry skin likes the thicker formula plus I find it holds foundation crazy long 😀

  • Tanya

    Hi Muse!

This is my first time reading your blogs, and I must say now I’m totally addicted! It seems you’re pretty famous on google when I type in: BB Cream! Haha. I just ordered my Missha kit and am very excited to try it out. But I have one question for you; When you say the BB Cream (in your BB Cream post) or the BB Boomer in this case (for Missha) “lightens your skin”, does that mean it changes the color of your skin as time progresses, and you’re face color will get lighter? Or does that mean, just when the BB Cream/Boomer is on your face? Or something else…? Because I want to try BB Cream, but I don’t want my face color to get lighter as I use it. My skin color is darker than most asians already and my face is also lighter than my skin color already too, so I don’t want to make my face color lighter. Please inform me more on the “making your skin lighter” statement please! Thank you! =)

    • the Muse

      hi tanya aw thanks, cheers!

I enjoy BB Creams that’s for sure 😀 Most don’t change the color of your skin but merely brighten and whiten b/c of the formula so no worries there. hope this helps! 🙂

  • Nakwon

I’ve spent a few hours reading your blog and I wanted to say I am really thankful that you spend your time reviewing brands outside of the US. I’ve been hearing about BBCreams for a while and always wanted to test them out but never knew where to look. After finding this post I sucked up and ordered the sampler (it’s still available!) and am anxiously waiting for it in the mail. Thanks for helping a gal out!

  • I Dream of Jeannie

I’d like to say that I ordered from MissaUS.com about 2 weeks ago and they’re still giving away the free sampler set if you register for free. Also, after you’ve ordered your set, you can get another free one if you get another friend to register online and use your email as a referral!

It took about 2.5 weeks to get my shipping. They have a bunch of 2 for 1 deals and buy one get something else free deals too. Just gotta look and browse thru their site!

  • Mel

Recently tried my first Missha BB cream. Overall love the application and look of it when applied. Stays on well all day. But for some reason at night when I wash my face, I noticed bumpiness around lower half of my face around mouth.

Don’t know if this is an allergic reaction to BB cream or not. Weird is when wearing it all day it looks flawless on my face. Just when washing it off I notice my face wasn’t so smooth anymore. So I’m scared to try it again but will probably do after letting my face recover first.

Does anyone have similar problem with this BB cream? (red bottle img at top)

  • Sam

Hi I read and heard alot about BB creams from korean stars. I don’t know what BB cream would be the best from me. I have white skin, my cheeks are sometimes red and dry, and my face has some acne/oily. I am wondering what BB creams would work with my face that is a combination of dry and oily? thanks alot 😀

  • Nadya Sadri Mulok

*browse click browse click scroll type type type!* hahah

I tried the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream in Shade No. 23. It turned grey on me! gaaah! Never again I shall pull a grey face. But I might consider other Missha bb creams and foundations.. I recently bought the Missha The Style Fitting Wear Foundation in shade No. 21 Light Beige.

But they are expensive here *bawlll*

ahah! the Missha BB Boomer! a good one, smells like……. wait for it………. teen spirit *hahah joking love* I love that song. Smells like baby lotion. Aaand two thumbs up for this one. It contains water at the top of the ingredient list! I use this with my foundations as well.

I have and use another similar one, the Laneige Moisture Makeup Primer. Very good one for my dry combination skin. It smells nice, it cools my skin too.
