mark Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes All Over Face Palette Review and Swatches
Mark recently introduced a few new palettes for face and eyes that I babbled briefly about. I ended up purchasing both as they looked pretty cute.
The Mark Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes All Over Face Palette was one of the palette and it feels and acts like a rather cool dupe of a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick.
Rather interesting little powder.
Check it!
A nine shade palette made of cubes of shimmery pink, gold, and bronze for an allover color highlighter that provides a pretty shimmer and luminous radiance to cheeks, face, and if you’re feeling like multitasking eyes too!
This is $15 so if you’re on a bit of a budget it’ll act as a cheaper dupe up of a Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick as it provides the same effect as one.
The palette itself isn’t anything special to look at but the beauty lies within. Flip it open to reveal a palette divided into nine cubes. The shades of the palette graduate in color from deeper to lighter and includes pink, bronze, and gold. The dominate color once blended comes across more of a muted bronze. No matter how I swipe my brush across the palette, I always came up with a bronze-y shade. Not to worry as it’s not pigmented enough to work as a bronzer or a blusher so your cheeks aren’t going to change into a strange shade of bronze brown. It gives a barely there glow when buffed onto face and cheeks.
It blends fairly easier and has a creamy feel. Now the creamy feel is interesting since it wears well on skin however it does make it a bit of a pain to get onto a brush. I think a kabuki is best used as you can swirl and buff but a regular blush brush might not work as well.
If you want you can take a sponge applicator, pick up color, and apply to lids but color does come across very sheer and subtle however it’s just one more to get your money’s worth in my opinion!
You have to be a bit careful as with any highlighter it’s easy to over do so you’ll appear a bit frosty and shimmery. Just try to go lightly and highlight above cheek bones. Believe me I’m prone to overdoing it, I should know ha!
- Anyone who wants a cheaper dupe of Bobbi Brown Shimmerbricks.
- Anyone who likes pretty highlighters or powders.
- Anyone who wants a little radiance on cheeks and face.
- Anyone who isn’t keen on shimmer!
- Anyone who already owns a Shimmerbrick or two (you probably don’t need this if you already have Bobbi Brown’s version).
This is a pretty nice dupe of a Shimmerbrick if you’re yearning for one but not the costly price tag. It’ll compliment olive and darker skin tones best I think as it does come across a tad frosty on my skin which is considerably fairer at the moment now that the Summer is gone. $15 is a decent enough deal but I’d love to see it marked down even cheaper, say $10 or $8 dollars seems more than fair for the range of audience that Mark is trying to reach.
It’s not really a must have unless you’re looking for a budget dupe of Bobbi Brown’s version however those who use highlighters alot will find the joy in this one.
Anyone try yet?
