Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Bronzer Review, Swatches, Photos
Physicians Formula has a brand new bronzer available which contains 100% Pure Cashmere Extract. I can’t even begin to think what that means, I have visions of them grinding up sweaters and sprinkling the pieces into bronzer, ha. Granted, cashmere is a type of goat wool but that doesn’t sound like something I need or want in my bronzer.
Shrug!
But I’m game.
Here’s the deets!
A bronzer that sports 100% pure cashmere extract for a skin softening effect.
I do think, for me anyway, part of the appeal here was the packaging. This comes in a velvety case (a la Urban Decay’s Naked Palette) with a gold tassel. One side features the bronzer that has what could be deemed as a cashmere or sweater-like design and the other side has a see through window which houses the brush and mirror. The packaging swings open on both sides for access to either the powder or mirror and brush. I liked the packaging overall not only the design on the powder but also just the general box that it comes house in as well.
They have both a light bronzer and a dark bronzer available. I only indulged in the darker since the lighter seemed to lack pigment upon inspecting it. I normally don’t like, love, or favor bronzers but occasionally I will indulge since some give a rather nice peachy glow. Physicians Formula doesn’t disappoint as that’s exactly the effect I get from this power. It has a healthy dose of gold with a subtle sparkle that gives my face a peachy glow sans looking muddy or beige. The power graduates from lighter to darker and manages to come across on my skin as a glow-y peach brown. The design on the powder remains so no worries of it disappearing too quickly with use.
Texture feels very nice and blends easily however the entire 100% cashmere, skin softening deal, well, I didn’t really notice anything in that regard. I feel like it’s an average bronzer that has a nice glow-y finish but the texture didn’t run to smoother or softer in any noticeable way.
The brush isn’t fabulous but by Physicians Formula standards it’s considerably better than what they normally include with their powders and products.
- Anyone who wants a glow-y bronzer that’s not overly done or muddy.
- Those who like bronzers (if you like and use bronzer regularly this is quite a nice budget option).
- Those uninterested in bronzers (hey, if you hate bronzers, this isn’t going to do it for you no matter how cute the packaging).
Overall, I was surprised at how much I did enjoy Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Bronzer. I do think the claims of softening thanks to cashmere sound a little too good to be true but if you can get past that you’ll find the joy in a simple budget bronzer. The price is around $13 however with so many BOGO offers at your local drugstores you’re bound to find it for considerably less. I’m not a HUGE bronzer person but I won’t say no to one that gives a nice healthy glow and this just does that plus if I wanna multitask I can easily use it as a shadow!
Quite nice!
I got mine at CVS.
