L’Oreal Project Runway Fall 2012 L’Oreal True Match Blush in The Muse’s Blush Review & Swatches
The new L’Oreal Project Runway Fall 2012 Collection features four, limited edition shades of L’Oreal True Match Blush. I purchased two of these from L’Oreal’s Project Runway Fall 2011 Collection and absolutely adored them so I was quite excited with a relaunch of new shades.
I’ve been trying to hunt around my local drugstores for the new display for the Fall 2012 launch but no luck yet. Anyone else have better luck than me?
L’Oreal True Match Blush in the Muse’s Blush is the perfect shade of blush not only because I love peach but because, hey, it’s kinda sorta named after me!
The Muse’s Blush is a dirty shade of peachy orange that applies with a beige-y peach finish with slight orange undertones. It’s not a shade I’d choose for myself ordinarily but after trying it I was pretty shocked how much I like it. For someone, like me, who enjoys a bit more vibrancy in her (or his) blushes this is somewhat subtle.
Color pay off is rather sheer but builds nicely to a medium color pay off with a smooth, satiny finish. It does have small flecks of gold sparkle but these aren’t visible on skin after application. The color is very sophisticated and a rather great shade for office or work wear.
I found the texture of the blush a little dry but it applies quite well and kicks up a fair bit of powder upon contact with my brush. It does blend fairly easily but needs a few strokes for the best color pay off on a medium or darker skin tone.
This is definitely sheerer and more subtle than last year’s color selection but I liked it a lot regardless. And no not because it’s named the Muse’s Blush. The color just turned into a rather pretty flushing warm peach that never looks over done.
Likey!
The L’Oreal Project Runway for Fall 2012 Collection should be popping up in drugstores now.
