About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment.

I am eyeing the Stila palette and Josie Maran. I read on their FB page that there should be more posted on Pinterest tomorrow…

    • the Muse

I am too, the Josie stuff that is. Quite curious what will be revealed on pinterest!

  • AmandaM

Thanks for posting this! I’m interested in the Stila palette, the Josie Maran Nail Wipes and Argan Oil Hand Cream, and maybe the brush set. How about you Miss Muse? Anything that particularly strikes your fancy?

    • the Muse

mmmmmmmmmmm I dunno Amanda. I was thinking I’d like the Nail wipes as well and perhaps the Ole set. They also said more deals would be posted tomorrow so curious what else they’ll have!

  • lyz

The stila palette! Although, it seems like that’s going to sell out before I can even blink.

    • Bee

Heads-up: 3 of the 4 Stila palettes are already on Sephora for $10 (all except for the light neutral one); it seems that they’re just re-promoting them for Black Friday. I personally am looking at the Lorac, Too Faced, and/or Tarte sets. Those mini sizes of the Tarte Amazonian clay finishing powder last FOREVER… I keep getting them as samples and never have to buy the full size, hehe 🙂 Also, Sephora is apparently having $20 deals as well. I’m really curious as to what those will be!

    • AnniLau

Three of the four Stila palettes are already selling for $10. I ordered the neutral eye one, aka Artful Eye Collector’s Edition Vol. II, last Thursday (11/21). The lip and brighter eye palettes are also currently available at that price.

I’d love the Stila palette and the Living Proof and Clean gift sets, but I’m not usually anywhere near a computer (or a wi-fi connection) on Black Friday. My parents and I hide out at an oyster bar all day. lol

People who participate in Black Friday freak me out. (As in I have a major fear of crowds and the mall is always overheated and people are crazy way, not an actual judging of people who get up at the crack of dawn to shop kind of way.) I’d much rather hole up in my apartment and participate in Cyber Monday. lol

  • Christine

OOooo, they changed the Josie Maran duo this year. I picked up the JM duo last year during Boxing Day (which I think had the same deals as the Black Friday deal).

I’m pretty intrigued by the hand cream and I liked the nail wipes the last time I got them. They smell super nice and they’re really convenient. I keep one in my bag for those times when my manicure needs a little cleaning or just taking it off altogether. They don’t smell like nail polish remover so they’re safe to use in the office without bothering my colleagues. In fact, they usually sniff and wonder where the grapefruit scent is coming from – they were sure surprised when they see I am actually taking off my polish!

I am also eying the Living Proof gift set. I’m hoping I can snag some stuff without too much trouble with the site crashing. Fingers crossed!

  • Anne

Curious to see what the Canadian deals are, as they differ slightly. Last year was super relaxed and easy going at my store, which opened at 10am with a few well behaved ladies waiting. This year they open at 8am and I’m hoping it’s still calm, last year, while waiting, we all agreed not to rush the displays and were all great about sharing and passing on items to others, hoping for a similar experience! I love that Canada has adopted Black Friday!!!! Thanks Muse!

  • AnniLau

I just placed an order yesterday (and unlocked VIB Rouge, woot!), so I was prepared to be annoyed at myself for not waiting, but I don’t want any of that.

They’ll probably add something fab later though, with my luck.

  • Kimmwc03

I’m interested in the Stila palette. I may also want the Living Proof set depending on what’s in it (I love the full thickening mousse).

  • Sara

This is when I really love being a part of the Sephora Flash shipping program! Any order, any amount with free 2 day shipping. I can grab one or two of these things without having to deal with shipping fees, whoot! The Stila palette caught my eye, hopefully it will be in stock when I get up that morning…

  • melissa

omg – I’m traveling for work in 2 weeks and that living proof set would be perfect and the ole wipes an the josie set!! I’m thinking that clean set might be nice too – love the brand. OY!

  • Cindy

I might try for a couple of these, but let’s see if the website actually holds out for everyone who tries to use it . . .

  • A

Disappointed that Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple is not on the list. Thanks for posting!

  • Meg

I’m curious when they say the site deals will launch at midnight, what time zone?

  • JJ

Thanks for sharing Muse! I think the Sephora Black Friday deals from previous two years were much better. I hope they reveal something better tomorrow. Stila has come out with $10-$16 palettes in recent years that are made in China. I am not commenting on the quality here but that’s why they are cheap.

    • the Muse

my pleasure JJ the post is actually updated so double check because you might have missed something 😀

  • Krystle

Hi Miss Muse! Do you know if it’s midnight EST? I’m 5 hours back in Hawaii so I’m curious when I can buy the things I want online. 🙂

  • Donna

Wow, this list is looking better and better. I definitely want to snag the Bare Minerals, Smashbox, Tarte and Living Proof sets. Thanks for the heads up!

  • Jessica

Do you know if there’s a limit per person per item? I want to buy all three of the stila palettes for myself, but i’d also like to get two as gifts. Thanks for the post 🙂

    • the Muse

I don’t believe they limit you Jessica but perhaps you can’t purchase MORE than one each of the items. You can try, see what happens at check out 😀 my pleasure

  • Jenna

Disappointed with these. I might grab a few Kate Somerville Dermal Quench Liquid Lifts as stocking stuffers but that’s about it. Does anyone know if they will be announcing anymore products? Because they advertised this sale as “Beauty Steals $20 and under”… and so far nothing has been announced that’s over $10.

  • Ashley

Wow lots of great stuff to choose from! Too bad I work retail Black Friday:( On the other hand I’ll be making double and then I won’t be out spending so you win some lose some

  • Karen

I’m so happy I didn’t like anything, need to stop spending money on make up… and some of those sales are ridiculous because stila palette is already that price right now in the website.. =/

  • Lacy

Thanks for the insight! Ahead of the game as usual, love it. Stocking stuffers here we come!! And maybe something for me, hehe ^^

    • the Muse

my pleasure dear 🙂 YES one for you, one for them, two for you, one for them 😀

  • Deb

I can’t believe it. Not one single thing on this list interests me. I must be over saturated with holiday makeup and products!

    • cat

I’m with you, Deb. They strike me as products I wouldn’t be terribly unhappy to see from a monthly subscription service but I don’t see anything I need to own. Of course, I already have a pretty substantial makeup collection and my recent Sephora 20% off haul hasn’t hurt.

  • Cindy Ramirez

Jeez, is it just me or are these little deals just adorbz? I want all the Stila stuff! Not a chance in heck I’ll be shopping though, I’ll be on the other side of retail on black friday. Maybe I can bribe my boyfriend? Hehe

  • adrienne

This is a late post but I wasn’t able to snag anything online. I tried to logon at 12:02 AM andreceived a message saying “your almost there. Sephora is experiencing a high volume of traffic and you are currently in line to enter the site and I would be automatically let in when the traffic subsides”. I gave up.

  • Cindy

I had that screen as well for a few minutes. I think they shut down the site to add the $10 deals and then didn’t “reactivate” it correctly. I tried with another browser and it worked. I got a few of the deals. I saw on Sephora’s FB page that people were VERY annoyed on Friday night because Sephora advertised some $20 deals and kept saying that they would be available “first thing Saturday morning.” Turns out that all they did was post a link to the deals below $25 that were up there already for quite some time and there was nothing new, which left a lot of people pissed off.
