The 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

The 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

A year or so ago the 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty game was going around a variety of makeup forums! It basically takes the seven sins and works them around beauty, makeup, and skincare. It’s kinda fun game to play and will definitely get you thinking about your beauty habits, stash, and purchasing habits.

Jump ahead to play.

Promise you’ll have a blast!

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
I consider fragrance as beauty and one of my most expensive purchases in fragrance would be Creed Acqua Fiorentina at $290.

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Mmmm…powder! I like the way my makeup looks when I set it with powder but I rarely do it because my skin ends up looking dry as hell.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
I have a really diverse collection and I don’t think any particular brand actually takes up most of my collection!

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Body lotion! I’m very, very lazy about applying body creams or lotions because I don’t like how the make my skin feel sticky or tacky.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
A good undereye concealer is absolutely the product that makes me feel my very best. My skin is smooth without visible pores and I think it’s my best feature so I don’t need a ton of foundation however, my eyes are prone to puffiness plus they are dry and have finer lines so concealer is absolutely the product that makes me look and feel my beauty best.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
Annika Goutal La Violette Perfume and ALL the Tom Ford Blushes.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Highlighter! I looks horrible when I’m glow-y or luminous! I envy people that can pull off the look!

Hope you’ll take sometime out and play!

I’m eager to hear your replies.

    Greed: Clairsonic

Wrath: Bronzer. I am very fair skin and sometimes I just overdue it and get frustrated. But other times it really looks gorgeous.

    Gluttony: Urban Decay

    Sloth: Cleaning my makeup brushes.

    Pride: Mascara!

Lust: The new Hourglass eyeshadow palettes

Envy: Dark lipsticks! I love dark purples, but I just look like silly with it.

    • Isabella Muse

lol yeah me too love dark purple lipstick but look like an idiot wearing ’em!

  • Jenna

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
Probably my Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette which retails for $60, though to be honest I only paid $50 for it with a coupon. Or even though it was a gift my perfume See by Chloe retails for $98.

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Acne concealer or any concealer that I try to use on acne.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
My collection is also pretty diverse. I used to be an all Bare Minerals girl, but not anymore. So I’ll spin it this way…I have a TON of eyeshadow! So that’s the product that takes up most of my collection.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Eyeliner, love it but lately in the mornings I skip it because I’m just too tired to try and draw a straight line.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
Eye makeup in general, including under eye concealer (bye bye undereye!). Even with all my other makeup on if my eyes weren’t done, I wouldn’t feel as confident in my look.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
I’m loving Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder right now and would love to get a couple more them! (Right now I have Diffused which I use as setting powder and the palette which is great as well.)

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
I’m not sure it’s a matter of not looking great or I just don’t always have the confidence to pull it off but a bold lip is one and a really smoky eye is another. While I love makeup, when I try to do a really smoky eye it just makes me look beat up. So I do a more neutral/subtle version.

  • Janessa

    Greed: my Clarisonic Mia 2

Wrath: Liquid eyeliner.. Unlike eyebrows, wings should be twins, not just sisters.

Gluttony: Depends on the product… BE and MAC for single eye shadows, UD for palettes, depends on the day

    Sloth: DEFINITELY cleaning my brushes.

Pride: a fabulous bold blue-red lipstick.

Lust: The entire Amour Pacific skincare line. The day under eye cream… drool.

Envy: WINGED EYELINER. I just can’t get it together on a regular basis.

    • Isabella Muse

haha I hear ya Janessa I so haven’t mastered the winged eyeliner look!

      • Janessa

Some girls got it, some girls don’t. On rare occasions I pull perfect wings, but most days I try I just look like a broke down Amy Winehouse 🙁

        • Isabella Muse

haha yeah, that’s about right for me like I had a bottle of wine and decided to apply eyeliner after loading up! 😀

  • Amber Zionkowski

Greed: Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Undereye Cream

Wrath: Lipsticks. I have a gabillion but I hardly ever wear it! I see all these beautiful colors but they never seem to look as good on me. I usually end up sticking with Nyx Butter glosses.

Gluttony: Too Faced. I have almost all of their palettes.

Sloth: Hmmmm, sometimes I skip concealer. I don’t have dark circles (usually) but I like the brightening affect.

Pride: A beautifullyl blended and stunning eyeshadow look. I love the creativity that goes into creating an eyeshadow look!

Lust: I’ve been dying to get a Clarisonic! I’ve heard amazing things.

Envy: I think I’ll reference the lipsticks again. I think I look ridiculous with a wine/red/purple lip.

  • Justyne

Greed: I haven’t been buying high end brands til recently, so currently it’s my Tarte 12 hr Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation! (what a mouth full!)

Wrath: Lipsticks/Lip products! I love wearing lipstick or any kind of lip product as long as it’s matte, but it’s so unconvenient talking or eating. It always wipes off or smudges on my face. 🙁

Gluttony: Urban Decay! I cannot resist their naked palettes and 24/7 eyeliners.

Sloth: Liquid eyeliner. Usually I would do a sharp wing for my everyday eye makeup, but lately I been so lazy since that step takes up most of my time! Problems of being a perfectionist haha.

Pride: My Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown. I have very sparse brows with no tails, they are almost nonexistent! I feel the most confident when my
    brows are filled in.

Lust: Kat Von D’s Shade and Light contour palette or Lime Crime’s Cashmere Velvetines!

Envy: Eyeshadow looks in general! Even though I have so many eyeshadow palettes, I feel like eyeshadow looks never look good on me. My asian eyes lack eyelid space and they are hooded. 🙁

This was really fun to do, Muse! Thank you for sharing. (:

  • LA

Greed: I really try not to spend more than $50 on any one thing but I did get the Tarte Bon Voyage set last year ($59)

Wrath: Probably my Too Faced Melted lipsticks. Sometimes they look great, other times my lips are dry and they look nightmarish.

Gluttony: Probably Wet N Wild, tbh! But I love Tarte and Urban Decay.

Sloth: Moisturizer, or any kind of primer really. I get excited and neglect to prep.

    Pride: Anastasia brow wiz

Lust: I’m still lusting after the Naked Vault! Plus anything from Hourglass.

Envy: Bright creamy red lipsticks look great on others but make my face look ruddy :'(

  • Tracy

Greed: Armani Crema Nera Extrema Face Serum

    Wrath: Eyeliner

    Gluttony: Skincare

    Sloth: Nails

    Pride: A bold lip

    Lust: Perricone Hyalo Plasma

    Envy: Winged Eyeliner

  • Jan

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
    Juicy Coutore Perfumes! YUM!!!

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Anastasia Pomade- I love it but I struggle with it. I have the powder, the gel and the brow wiz but I want the pomade to work and look good like it does on everyone else.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
Lorac Eyeshadow Palettes and Wet and Wild lipsticks.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
If it’s a lazy day probably concealer. I have hyper pigmentation but it doesn’t bother me enough to fight with it on lazy days.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
Foundation. I can’t leave the house without it. My second would be mascara and a good eye base.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
Mac lipsticks and The Chocolate Solei Bronzer

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?

False eye lashes. I LOVE THEM!! But I look like a fool when I wear them.

    • Isabella Muse

haha with you on falsies I look dumb plus I apply them all stupid-like!

  • Kristi

Greed: UD vice 3…which I’ve never actually used because I have so much!

Wrath: bronzer. I have no idea what to do with it.

Gluttony: mac. I <3 mac. Limited edition lipsticks and msf especially!!

    Sloth: cleaning my brushes.

Pride: highlighters. I love the glow. I'm oily, so I use matte foundation that just makes me one color, so this helps makes me feel like an actual person. I adore the bobbi brown highlighters.

Lust: all the nars audacious lipsticks.

Envy: contouring. Tried, just can't get a hang of it!

  • Kimmwc03

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
A Chanel highlighter I got two years ago. It’s beautiful but I don’t wear it much due to the price tag.

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Concealer (too cakey, doesn’t cover but sometimes great)

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
My collection is pretty diverse. I used to be an all Bare Minerals girl, but not so much anymore. I’d say lip products.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
    Eyeliner or bronzer

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
Foundation because it evens out my skin tone.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
I can’t think of just one. UD Spring collections items, more Chanel lipsticks.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Winged liner; my eye lids are hooded.

  • Ruth

    greed-my clarisonic mia
wrath-highlighter. it looks great on others but i look like a shiny disco ball from Stayin’ Alive.
gluttony- Urban Decay eye shadows. we all know that they’re awesome and like pokeman-gotta catch ’em all! or OPI nail polishes- their formula just works so well for me
sloth-i hate cleaning my brushes! so boring and time consuming.
pride- red lipstick! I own many shades of red and no one can tell me that they’re not different from each other. red lovers unite!
lust-the new hourglass eye pallets. they’re just so pretty to look at.
envy- the dewy look, i look like my face needs to be washed! since i have combo skin in the warmer months, it looks like an oil spill on my face. how’s that for imagery? =P

    • Isabella Muse

yeah same here ruth, just can’t get that luminous glow without looking oily!

    • Janessa

I totally feel ya on the reds!! “but they’re all so different” a-la the assistant in that one scene from The Devil Wears Prada 😉

  • Lauren

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item? Clairsonic Mia 2.

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with? Dark lipstick, love the way it looks, hate how high maintenance it can be.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection? I have a lot of different brands, but I think I may have the most from Tarte and Urban Decay.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness? Lip liner. Buy it, never use it.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence? Foundation/BB cream/CC cream, etc. I get hyperpigmentation after blemishes and I look so much better with an even complexion.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list? I literally need nothing. However, I am currently most tempted by the new Lorac Gold palette.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you? Winged liner. I am 36 and I feel like the wing emphasizes my developing crow’s feet. Not to mention, I’m not great with liquid liner.

  • Erin

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quads. I have 3, one I love and 2 I regret purchasing.

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Highlighter. Love how it looks when I first apply it but it either a) disappears after a few hours or b) becomes very obvious and makes my skin look plastic-y

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
MAC, I can’t stay away from their MSFs, blushes and lipsticks!

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Also body lotion. I’ll moisturize my face and hands every night before bed but am too lazy to take the extra few minutes to lotion my body after I get out of the shower.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
Mascara. I feel like it completely transforms my face even when I am wearing no other makeup. As I have gotten older, I’ve become okay with going out in public without a full face of makeup but I cannot/will not go without mascara.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
I am having difficulty thinking of just one but I think the new Tom Form lipsticks are definitely up there.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Really dark, smokey, smudgy eye looks. I’m not sure if it is my bone structure or pale skin but I always end up looking bruised and sickly.

      • Erin

Mostly I just don’t reach for them that often so I can’t justify the price lol. Save for one of the quads (silvered topaz was a HUGE fail), the colors are gorgeous and the quality is there.

    • Kate

which TF quad do you like? and which are the two you didn’t? i’ve been contemplating a splurge on them for aaaaaages.

      • Erin

Hi Kate – I own Orchid Haze, Golden Mink and Silvered Topaz. I love love love Orchid Haze. The colors are so versatile. You can easily do an office appropriate look or a sexy night time look. I also have green eyes and it always makes my eyes pop! Golden Mink is gorgeous and the quality is amazing. I just don’t find it unique enough among my collection and therefore don’t reach for it often. That is the only reason I regret purchasing that one.

Silvered Topaz on the other hand is AWFUL. The 3 non-glitter shades have horrible pigmentation and are very stiff. The silver glitter is the only saving grace but unfortunately I can’t get away with wear glitter everyday haha Hope this helps!

        • Kate

Erin, thank you SO MUCH! I have been liking golden mink but you are so right… the colors are pretty common. Orchid Haze, on the other hand, I am loving! I also have green eyes and I am loving the colors together. I also love that they’re not too dark… I always struggle with darker colors. Definitely a frontrunner on my wishlist now! 🙂

  • TropicalChrome

Greed: my Dior 5 eyeshadow palette. I still can’t believe I spent that much on it.

Wrath: foundation. I love how it looks, and it is so much better than it was when I was a teenager, but it’s still so annoying to apply and remove.

Gluttony: can we just say all brands of nail polish and leave it there?

Sloth: nothing, really. If I’m not doing something it’s because I don’t believe I need to do it.

Pride: eyeliner/mascara combo. Even if I wear nothing else, which I often don’t, I’ll almost always throw on some eyeliner and mascara. I have pale eyes and pale skin and pale lashes and high prescription glasses, so eyeliner and mascara give my eyes some needed definition and pop.

Lust: more nail polishes I don’t need and whenever Urban Decay comes out with the Naked 3 Basics palette. I know they will someday and I will have it.

Envy: pastel blue or green nail polish. I fall in love with them every spring but don’t dare wear them because lobster hands doesn’t even begin to cover it. I so wish I could and I so envy those who can!

    • Karen M

Try owning 5 C.D. eye palette quads and store them in a drawer and never wear them! 🙁

  • Arielaaaa

    Greed: Clarisonic Mia 2

Wrath: I agree with the powder thing. I have very dry skin and when any powder touches my skin is just instantly shows dry spots/flakes, but at the same time after a few hours my foundation can get a little oily, hard balance…..

Gluttony: No particular brand comes to mind, i guess it would have to be Bite Beauty Lipsticks.

Sloth: Cream Blush… I Love how long they last.. But it’s always a little more work to blend out and look natural, so i just reach for my powders

Pride: I agree with the Undereye Concealer, But i think mine would be foundation, When it looks natural and covers everything… Ahhhhmazing!

Lust: The New Kat Von D Contour palette, I’m pretty sure i’m going to order it within the net few days.

Envy: Bold Eyeshadow! Colors… Smokey Eyes… My eyes are pretty big and i have a lot of lid space, and putting bold or dark colors just brings aot of attention to them… So i like to stick to more neutral colors.

  • auntymaim

    This is fun!

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
I’m not positive, but I own 2 Rouge G’s which are the most I’ve paid for a small item and make even my makeup loving friends roll their eyes at me.

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Foundation. I need it, but I hate the way it feels. It’s the condom of makeup.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
Probably MAC, they do lots of fun stuff and I am impulsive like that.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Hair stuff. I have a short, butch haircut and dye it pink (bright colors make lazy hair look cooler 😛 ) and STILL I hate to style it. Also styling product is the foundation of the head, necessary but I hate how it feels.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
Mascara. My lashes are long but very light. I often apply mascara last when doing makeup and I can spend half an hour doing an amazing eye look and will look like a total schlub until the moment the lashes are done.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
I need more eyeshadow like I need a hole in my head, but there are a couple Marc Jacobs eye palettes out recently that have lovely color combos. Likely I’ll see what I try to dupe them with what I already have but I still look at them longingly.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Bold lips! If it’s just a little sheer and glossy I can pull it off, Rouge Automatique is a godsend for me.

Fun quiz, thanks for posting it!

    • Isabella Muse

gland you enjoyed it aunty 🙂 thanks for sharing, had fun reading your answers!

  • Kimryan8

Hey Muse! Haven’t checked in in a while – this is super fun!

    GREED: Guerlain Meteorites

WRATH: Lipgloss. I have a billion of them and they look so beautiful but come off so easily. Its something that you need to stay on top of to keep reapplying!

GLUTTONY: Urban Decay. I have a boatload! All palettes! All Vices!

SLOTH: Using my clarisonic and exfoliating. I feel like my face has to be flaky as hell for me to break it out. I’m super lazy with it yet I love it.

PRIDE: Eyebrows. I feel like I look so much more put together when I spend the time to properly fill in and shape my brows.

LUST: Guerlain Meteorites face primer. I WANT WANT but I just can’t spend $73 on it – I just can’t.

ENVY: Bronzer. I look ridiculous but feel like everyone else pulls it off so well. I try and try but end up looking like the Jersey Shore people.

    • Isabella Muse

hey kim! welcome back! haha yeah me too, jersey shore reject with bronzer on!

  • Kat

Greed: When I’m greedy, I buy several products at once, so I don’t have one super expensive item.

Wrath: Foundation and lipstick. I’m wrathful, or maybe just lazy.

Gluttony: Eyeliner! Especially Urban Decay eyeliner. Maybe MAC lipstick too (sounds strange with the last point, huh.)

Sloth: I usually use lip gloss when I want to use lipstick, and a dust of powder when I want foundation. Just so much effort.

Pride: Eyeliner and mascara. I’m extremely fair with blonde eyelashes. I need to draw attention to my eyes or they’re invisible.

Lust: The Narsissist Dual Intensity palette! Ohh makeupgasm.

Envy: Eyeshadow looks with bright colors in the crease. I’m not sure, but I think it’s because my eyes are high up on my face? Or maybe because they’re small. I don’t know, but it doesn’t work for me.

  • Tiffany

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
    Clarisonic Mia 2

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Highlighter. My skin is so oily, but I just can’t not put it no. Especially my Mary-Lou Manizer.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
ELF. I am a budget shopper at heart.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
I also am way to lazy to put on body lotion. But I love the way it smells.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
My eyelashes with mascara on them. I am pretty lucky that they keep the curl. Once I do 2 coats, talk about vavavoom!

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford and Kate Somerville

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Funny enough due to my previous answer, false lashes. Other people can really pull it off. I tried them once and the bothered the heck out of my eyes. I am thinking about trying demi-whispies to see if the work better. I also have been trying my winged eyeliner, some times it looks good other days it looks like a child drew it on. Some people are just good at it and have eyes that will work for it.

  • Krystle

Gluttony: It’s between the UD Electric palette and the Vice 3

Wrath: Translucent powder. I love the finish it gives, but my dry skin just will not. It just won’t.

Gluttony: Maybelline, but UD and Too Faced might catch up soon.

Sloth: Concealer, especially undereye concealer. It just takes so long to blend that I can’t be bothered.

Pride: Winged eyeliner. It’s been my trademark since middle school, so I can’t not have it.

Lust: The new NARSissist Dual Intensity palette. I need this in my life!

Envy: False lashes. They look so great and natural on everyone else, but on me they look like I’ve been playing in mommy’s makeup.

  • Eli Caroline

    You’re right, this was fun!

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
    Clarisonic (but worth every penny)

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
liquid liner – on a good day it looks amazing and my flick is fierce, on a bad day, I resemble a racoon.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
    Kat Von D

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
I agree with you, that it would be body lotion – but only because I hate being sticky or greasy.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
    A bold red lip

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
Currently it’s skincare: a monthly facial and a good eye cream.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Bronzer – I wish I could contour like a pro.

  • Jessy

OMG hahaha i really enjoyed this post! Your posts are always so accurate yet Funny! 🙂

I also dont normally use body lotion because of the exact same reason!! I hate how it feels especially when I’m trying to put my clothes on… ahahaha

Could you please check out my new blog? I would really appreciate it 🙂
    Xoxo Jessy

    • Isabella Muse

hi jessy! 😉 glad you enjoyed it. yeah I so hate feeling sticky after applying body lotion! Just checked your site, looks fab good luck and welcome to the blogging world!

  • Amber C.

    Greed – Clarisonic

Wrath – cream shadows – they need to set and sometimes im impatient.

Gluttony – I have a pretty diverse collection. Lots of Urban Decay and Lorac eye shadows though.

Sloth – body lotion. I’m so lazy with it.

Pride – a really good primer makes all the difference for reducing redness and filling in my pores.

Lust – I am lemming the new Urban Decay Naked concealer, powder foundation and the Lorac Unzipped Gold palette so much.

Envy – false eyelashes. And people who have lots of lid space.

  • Jessica

I’ll have to stop lurking to play!!

Greed: MUFE 30th anniversary pallet (but oh, how I love it).

Wrath: Any and all concealers, especially in winter. They look amazing when they go on but 3 hours later, I wanna scrub them off.

Gluttony: Either Urban Decay everything or Guerlain Meteorites. If I could only pick one, I’d have to say UD…. Both lipsticks and shadows.

    Sloth: Body moisturizers. Big time.

Pride: Lipstick or lipgloss. And perfume. And mascara. Did I mention mascara?

Lust: Frederic Malle’s Carnal Flower. And the new UD sheer lipsticks.

Envy: black eyeliner (especially liquid or cream). I can use them for tightlining but otherwise I just feel absurdly overdone…. But I LOVE them on other people.

    • Isabella Muse

another sin for me because I totally envy your MUFE palette 🙂 I was going to buy it but skipped out!

      • Jessica

Their new shadow formulation is really amazing…. Most of the colors blend so well and the glittery shades have relatively little fallout. I find myself wanting ALL of their shadow pallettes (I mean, I’ll use ’em…. right?).

        • Isabella Muse

haha I need a 100 faces to use everything I own, don’t deny it jessica, you probably do too!

  • Katherine T.

Greed – T3 Hairdryer. As soon as I clicked the purchase button, I got an email saying I qualified for VIB Rouge!

Wrath – winged eyeliner, love the look but I always mess it up

Gluttony – no one brand dominates my stash, I’m a glutton for all kinds brands!

Sloth – mascara! My lashes take a long time to curl and don’t hold curl well, and they point downwards, so unless I curl them, adding mascara can add a dark shadow to my eye area, so I usually just skip mascara

Pride – bold brows, red lip

Lust – Tom Ford, Burberry, Giorgio Armani, Charlotte Tilbury- all SO expensive (sigh)

Envy – contour, still haven’t mastered it. I usually make a muddy mess

  • mirandagrosvenor

Greed: In terms of what I actually paid for it…Nars Voulez-Vous…palette. I have other things with a bigger $$ value but I didn’t pay full price for them.

Wrath: Dark nail polish on my fingernails. I totally dig the way it looks but chips are so obvious.

    Gluttony: Revlon without a doubt

Sloth: Skincare…I know I should be moisturizing et al even if I’m at home not wearing makeup, and I don’t. A close second is foot softening products…I just realized this the other day…yipes!!

Pride: Blush…gotta have it cause I’m pale!

Lust: Charlotte Tilbury every single thing.

Envy: Bronzer. Just makes me look like I didn’t wash my face.

    • Christy

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
Vero Profumo Rubj edp and Mito edp perfumes–sooo gorgeous!

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Concealer–I always need to use it, but it never does exactly what I want.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
Rouge Bunny Rouge–shadows, foundation, primer, blushes

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Under-eye concealer and the last layers of what I try to do for skin care (often I’ll do toner/essence and emulsion but not serum and cream–I don’t forget sunscreen, though!)

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
      Concealer and lipstick

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
Chikuhodo brushes and allll the Make Up For Ever Artists’ Shadows for Eyes

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
I’d love to be able to pull off cool-toned shadows and dark plum lipsticks, but neither works on me at all!

  • Tracy

Greed: My mini Foreo Luna face cleanser at 160$, and my ghd flat iron at 200$

Wrath: Gel liners. Love the look, hate to use a separate brush

Gluttony: Nars, especially blushes and eye shadow duos.

Sloth: Wow, I realize how lazy I really am ! Body lotion, hate the feel, especially on my hands, cleaning my brushes and putting skincare at night.

Pride: Bronzer. I look dead without it.

    Lust: Mac brushes

Envy: some people look all kinds of sexy with really pale nude lipsticks. I look deader than dead.

  • koolchicken

Greed: It’s less that I own perfume and more that I own about 5 of the Marc Jacbos Daisy perfumes (among others…)

Wrath: That I have very clear skin but I still “need” foundation because of redness. I hate the way it feels.

Gluttony: I suppose it would be palettes in general. I tell myself I don’t need more, that I have all the colors and then something new comes along and “it’s such a good value” and the next thing I know my resolve is out the window. Sigh…

Sloth: Hair washing. It’s just so much work cause it’s so long and I have to put in all these conditioners (it breaks really easily), then I have to style it. So it’s just easier to try and stretch it as long as I can. I’m gross.

Pride: My eyelashes are amazing. I’m not even going to try and be modest.

Lust: ALL the palettes, all of them. I don’t want them, I need them.

Envy: Bronzer. I want so much to be a beautiful bronzy person. But I’m just never going to stop being super pale with cool toned skin and I need to learn to accept that.

  • Jackie

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
If you consider hair care beauty (and I do) it’s my Purelogy shampoo and conditioner. If not, I have a stack of $50+ eyeshadow palettes that scream “greedy!”

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Eyeliner… Applying eyeliner period is not something that I naturally excel at. I love the look of eyeliner, I’m proud when I can make it look good, but I get anxiety when I try to apply it. Ugh!

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
Without counting, I’d say Tarte. I rely on Tarte for a lot of products I use every day. But, I also think I have a lot of Benefit and Too Faced.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
See wrath… I skip eyeliner a lot for a reason.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
A good eye look. Perfect smoky eye and gorgeous full lashes.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
Either the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette or the the Too Faced Candy Bar palette

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
A pretty red lip… I look like a clown. There’s no shade of red that look good on me.

  • Sonya

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
My Clarisonic and all its little toys…

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Lipstick. I know all the tricks, but it never stays on!

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
    No one brand dominates!

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Body lotion. It’s so boring to apply. I’m seriously considering turfing all my body butters and potions and just buying the spray-on moisturisers from Palmer’s and Vaseline.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
    Practicality – contact lenses.

    Makeup – well-applied, non-cakey base.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
The Tom Ford Lips & Boys lipstick in Xavier, which is my boyfriend’s name. I know it’s a repromote, but it HAS to have his name on it.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Gel eyeliner. Hello, smudges on my contacts! I wore it once, it looked great, but ugh, it did not want to dry.

And bronzer/contouring. I’m fairly sure that once I learn exactly how to contour, my life will be forever changed.

  • Lisa

This was actually one of the first YouTube vids I ever filmed, but I think my answers are pretty different now:

Greed: Numerically, it’s the MUFE 30th Anniversary Palette, but I feel like that doesn’t really count since it’s like $30 products in one! For a single product, the Chanel Camellia de Plumes Highlighter from Holiday 2014 — I told myself I was insane, but i just couldn’t pass it up.

Wrath: Mascara. For some reason, every mascara I love is doomed to have a terrible shelf-life. My 3 favorite mascaras all dry up on me within 3 weeks of opening.

Gluttony: Hmmm…probably Tarte, since I love so many of their products> With all the other brands I tend to zero in on one particular product line (love UD for eyeshadow, Revlon for lip products, NYX for blush, etc.)

Sloth: Body lotion and cuticle cream — but it’s my New Year’s resolution to get better!

Pride: A great foundation with ultra-high coverage.

    Lust: NARS Dual-Intensity Palette

Envy: Dewy skin makes me feel like I look oily. And every time I put on false eyelashes, I look in the mirror and feel like something is wrong – like it’s not really me, though it takes a look to such a glam and dramatic place.

  • Cj

Greed: first thing that comes to mind is my Clarisonic, but I’m sure I’ve bought some super crazy moisturizer or serum before.

Wrath: face masks! I love trying new ones all the time, I end up over doing it and breaking out lol

Gluttony: probably either Mac or Hourglass

Sloth: Oh same definitely body lotion, I never have the time.

Pride: A nice tinted lip balm or gloss. I don’t know why but (this is going to sound really gay) it makes me feel pretty.

Lust: that new clarisonic smart profile! Don’t even know what it does but I want it.

Envy: bronzer, my pale butt just can’t pull off bronzer

  • Faye

Greed: Not individually, but my whole palette of Makeup Geek shadows that I bought in one go, that plus the palette itself came out to quite a pretty penny.

Wrath: Mascara! Because it seems to flake into my eye toward the end of my day and cause irritation. It also makes my lashes stick together, but it looks so good. (and don’t get me started on eyelash curlers!) lately I’ve been just skipping it altogether!

Gluttony: Revlon for lips, Makeup Geek and Wet n Wild for eyeshadows!

Sloth: Cleaning my brushes. Also, using brushes. (If I can use no brushes, or less brushes, I will, which means I only do makeup looks where I need them once or so a week)

Pride: Hmm this is a hard one, I think it’s my Lumene CC cream, which I mix with moisturizer all over my face, then use concentrated as a light concealer. (runners up: WNW blush in heather silk and sheer berry gloss!)

    Lust: YSL Manifesto L’elixir

Envy: again, bold lips for sure. also gold makeup, and bronzers! I’m so porcelain, they look crazy on me!

  • Angel

    Greed: Tria Hair Remover Laser

Wrath: Eye Cream. I want to believe! But they almost all fail me. I apply every day, morning and night. Some seem to work for a bit but then let me down.

Gluttony: I also have a diverse collection. But if I added them all up, it would probably be MAC. I have a ton of their lippies, plus backups of things I use all the time.

Sloth: Cuticle cream/oil. I want nice cuticles but I just can’t be bothered to remember to take care of them.

Pride: Red lips. I stray here and there but a bright, blue-toned red always brightens my face and teeth.

Lust: A whole lot from Charlotte Tilbury. I’ve never tried the line but I’m drooling over so many things.

Envy: Bronzer/Contouring products. I’m so pale, everything looks like mud on my face. They’re either too orange or brown.

This was fun! Yay lol! Muse, I know you think you look like a clown in a red lip, but I politely disagree. Every time you try a new one and post it, I think it looks lovely on you. So striking with your dark eyes. I issue you a challenge (well you don’t really have to accept lol): wear a red lip every day for a week. Then see how you feel. I think for lots of us, red just feels so bold and over the top. But if you wear it everyday, that fear factor drops away and you see how gorgeous a red lip really is. Either way, I think you look great in red 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

haha I accept! I’ll do it next week 😀 thank you Angel you made me feel great <3!

  • Kiss & Make-up

Oh yeah, me too, I can’t wear highlighter! I just look like a discoball when I do. And I agree, powder is tricky. It beautifully sets make-up but dang it can make your skin look dry as f*ck.

  • CornyMetoka

    Greed: Tarte Bon Voyage ($59)

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Dark, vampy lipstick. I love to pull off the dramatic purple lip stain look, but then I walk around all the time being worried about the wear-off. I can’t stand it when the stain fades or chips off only in the middle of the mouth, while the outline remains flawless. Ugh. Why can’t there be a stain that doesn’t make dry, sensitive lips feel uncomfortable, and why can’t it all fade away evenly??

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
It’s very diverse, but I guess Tarte or Urban Decay.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Cleaning makeup brushes. Spot cleaning is no big deal, but the deep cleaning is so incredibly boring and tedious.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
A beautiful eye look. I can skip pretty much everything else if I only have a nice, blended eyeshadow look and some mascara.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
IT Cosmetics makeup brushes at ULTA, and NARS Audacious lipsticks.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
A bright red lip. Looks gorgeous on others, but I look like a clown.

  • Zaradrea

Greed: Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing serum, there is no serum that can be measured with Idealist.

Wrath: There was a lot but I do not want to remember because I would be angry again.

    Gluttony: Urban Decay

Sloth: Mask, I was always hard to make time for it, unfortunately…

    Pride: Mascara and finishing powder

    Lust: Parfume, Chanel cosmetics…

    Envy: Eyebrows

Very good idea, I see that a lot of us accept your challenge. It would be great if you added time to spend shopping and researching cosmetics, it would be interesting answers…

  • Terri

I feel like it’s confession time!!

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
Hands down the UD Naked Vault!

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Eyeliner of any kind. When I get it right, beautiful! But it’s so easy to screw it up, and ruin the entire eye look.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
I’d guess a 3 way tie between UD, Tarte and Smashbox

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Maybe not a product, but my hair. I spend lots of time on my face, and there’s never any left for my hair!

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
Nice skin and mascara are my musts! Whether it’s foundation, BB/CC cream, mineral powder…and then a coat of mascara. If that’s all I have time for, I’m good.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
Hourglass ambient lighting powders and blushes….sigh…so beautiful, so pricey!

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Definitely bold lips. I have no idea why everyone else looks so good with them, because I look awful! Total clown face, not attractive at all! Doesn’t stop me from buying the lipsticks though, just from wearing them in public 😉

    • Isabella Muse

me too terri! me too! I like walking around the house with bold lippies but not outside 😀

  • Maria

    Greed: My Clarasonic Mia

Wrath: Red Lipstick. Certain Ones Bleed : (

Gluttony: Tarte. I have sooooo much Tarte, more than I any person needs in a lifetime. Especially the blush

Sloth: Lipstick. Sometimes I’m like Meh not in the mood and I go with a clear gloss.

Pride: Eyemakeup. Mascara is a staple and A nice winged liner is a must for days I don’t feel like wearing eyeshadow. We all have those lazy days.

Lust: Loving the Hourglass blush pallet. The colors are beautiful and it makes your skin look flawless.

Envy: Dark Bronze Shadows. They just don’t always look right. Always too warm

  • Jennifer

Greed: Probably the lash extensions I was getting every other week to the tune of $119 per month! What was I thinking?!

Wrath: Lipstick. I just don’t think it looks good on me and I’ve tried so many shades, formulas, brands. A tinted lipgloss is the closest I can find to not looking strange.

Gluttony: I have a pretty varied collection but I probably have more Urban Decay than anything else.

Sloth: Definitely body lotion. I have a routine for washing my face and putting products on each morning and each night. But, I can’t seem to remember lotion for my body!

Pride: Mascara! Even if I skip full eyes (liner & eyeshadow) and foundation I cannot skip the mascara. If I go to work without mascara people always ask if I’m sick (and the answer is usually yes!)

Lust: La Mer but I can’t take the plunge because I can’t decide if it is really worth the price? Also a Clarisonic-I’ve heard mixed reviews from my dermatologists so I can’t make up my mind!

Envy: Bold lipsticks! I love, love the bold reds, wines, & burgundy’s but I end up looking bizarre!

    • Heather F.

Do you have sensitive skin? I went against my dermatologist’s advice and got a Clarisonic anyway, and it tore up my skin like nothing else. I only used it for a month, but was breaking out worse than I ever have in my entire life for a couple of months after. It’s taken about a year for the resulting hyperpigmentation to fade. I know 99% of people adore it, and it works GREAT for my sister and cousins, but I’ve found that a chemical exfoliant (I like the ones from Paula’s Choice) give me radiant skin and clean out pores without the whole “skin exploding with every type of zit” side effect. Just a thought!

  • Sarah

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
Guerlain Rougue G – in the perfect shade of red. I have several “iconic” reds and I really didn’t need this for $60, but oh is it pretty!

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Bronzer. I need so very little and I often hit my forehead too hard. I have no one to blame but myself.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
Urban Decay definitely pulls rank when it comes to numbers in my collection. Forgive me father, I’m gonna keep sinning on this one!

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Moisturizer on my face. I normally just buy a very oily soap so I don’t have to be bothered. It’s not enough and I know it, but here I sit dry as hell.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
Mascara. Mama blessed me with long lashes, so when I put on a few coats of some really good mascara, the tips touch my eyebrows. I get compliments all the time (as in “those are fake, right?”) and I definitely do it for attention.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
I really wanted the Makeup Forever Makeup Station but I received two of the Fifty Shades of Grey editions for Xmas, so I’m pretty content with that. I guess my new obsession is the NARS Vault which is just fabulous.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Coral lipstick. I love it but it makes me look pale and weird.

  • MzCrafty1908

    Greed: Clarasonic Mia 2

Wrath: Concealer. As I’m blending out my concealer, I take pics with my phone with my flash. It shows me whether I need to continue blending the edges into my foundation.

Gluttony: Definitely Coastal Scents! I have over 60 of their hot pots!

Sloth: Mine is body lotion too! I hate having to put it on.

Pride: My brow pencil from MAC in Spiked. When I do my makeup, the first thing I do (other than moisturize and prime) is my brows. They truly frame your face.

Lust: The entire MAC Cinderella collection that’s coming out in March! I’m a sucker for packaging. I would also like a few NARS Audacious Lipstick.

Envy: Taupe or cool toned eye shadows. It looks ashy on my NW48 skin…it’s a no go. Lol

  • barbara

Greed: Viseart eyeshadow palettes 80$ a piece.

Wrath: concealer for under the eyes. At 43 my eyes are getting loose and wrinkly and trying to hide dark circles is so difficult, trying not to have creases and have cake face under the eyes. I love it, but I hate it.

Gluttony: Tarte probably as they have big holiday sets, and that is probably the brand I have everything in.

Sloth: Body creams, because I forget.

Pride: eyebrows, as long as I have nice brows, I am ok.

Lust: Guerlain meteorites and YSL spring 2015 eyeshadow palette.

ENVY: Dark lipsticks. I buy dark beautiful colors, but never wear them out in public because I have tiny lips and it just looks like streaks of color on my face. I would love to have big, full lips like Angelina J.

    This was fun…..

  • Kate

fun game! i love stuff like this 🙂

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
I have a lot around the same price, but surprisingly my most expensive is the hourglass ambient lighting palettes, I believe!

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Eyebrow products…. I really struggle to master them.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
No brand takes up most of my collection, but I have products by rimmel in every category.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
I don’t use undereye concealers… at all. I don’t think I really need them, but also I’ve never tried.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
I absolutely love a good foundation that gives me a flawless looking base.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
More high end things…… some burberry single eyeshadows (pale barley, rosewood), a few high end foundations, Zoeva rose gold makeup brushes, some

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
extremely pale lipstick…. like a bubblegum light pink or a paler nude. I feel dead every time!

    • Kate

oops, I forgot: I also NEVER curl my eyelashes… people swear by them, but i never see the difference! (more sloth!)

  • Monica

    Ok here it goes!!

Greed: Vita Liberata Self Tanner ($50 for one bottle of self tanner?!)

Wrath: OCC Lip Tars. Sometimes I can get them to look amazing & last FOREVER & other times they crease & bleed & last 20 minutes.

Gluttony: All lip products of every brand. Wet N Wild to Chanel & I have at least close to 100 different kinds.

Sloth: I’m 100% on the no body lotion & washing my brushes. Muse, you HAVE to do a video/demo of the Cinema Secrets cleaner. I feel like this would encourage my brush cleaning if I owned this product.

Pride: Ardell lashes…I feel naked with out them.

Lust: Again, Charlotte Tilbury everything or the Lorac Mega Pro Palette.

Envy: I just cannot get a winged eyeliner look either.

  • Jane

    Greed: Clinique Calyx Perfume
Wrath: eyeshadows. Love the idea, it’s the execution & application I struggle with.
Gluttony: makeup: Bare Minerals. skincare: Paula’s Choice.
    Sloth: eyeshadow
    Pride: eye liner.
Lust: Hourglass Modernist e/s palette in Monochrome. Oh & the yet-to-be released Paula’s Choice matte & glam eyeshadow palette.
Envy: bronzer. Looks like a muddy, dirty hot mess on me.

  • Heather F.

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
I bought a Laura Mercier Artist’s Palette (the original amazing one) from a scalper for more than twice its original price. Still worth it–that formula is flawless!

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Either spot concealer (time-consuming to apply, but looks so much better when I bother!) or OCC Lip Tars–they’re a pain to apply, but I love that they feel like nothing, don’t dry out my lips, and last all day. Apparently, I hate having to apply anything that needs a tiny brush and more than five minutes. 😉

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
Urban Decay. I think I have all of their palette releases for the past few years except Alice in Wondeland, Vice 3, and their crummy new Shadow Box. Kind of ridiculous, since I only wear shadow a couple of times a week–I think I succumbed to the Pokemon mentality for awhile there.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Sunscreen. 🙁 I know, I know–I just hate how it feels and my foundation has 50 SPF, which seems to protect my Danish skin just fine on the rare occasion I venture into the outdoor realm.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
Foundation (when my skin looks like crap, ie most of the time), mascara (when my skin is okay–I have blonde lashes).

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
Hourglass’s Ambient Powder and Blush palettes. And the new It Cosmetics set from QVC, because I love their CC cream and brushes. And UD Revolution Lipsticks. Ugh, I want so many things!

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Bronzer (I’m pale as death, so it looks silly!) or a smoky eye (I look like Kirk after a bar fight).

  • yelitza

Greed: Chanel # 5 perfume ringing at 150 bucks! ouch!
Wrath: Matte foundations I’m dry and anything matte will mke my face look like The Sahara desert
Gluttony: Estee Lauder all the way!
Sloth:I’m so lazy regarding exfoliating my skin I know it is benefcia for my drier skin type, but with all the products I get veeery lazy!
Pride: a volumizing mascara. I was blessed to have long lashes but they need that extra ommph.
Lust: Clarisonic Aria in the Year of the horse limited edition I think it’s discontinued so mayor le sigh!
Envy: Fucshia lips, eww they make my teeth look terrible and my face in a perpetually flushed state, definitely not a good look, but on other dolls it looks amazing arrrrgh!

  • Kelsey

Greed: price Wise I would say my Kahina Giving Beauty cleanser ($60) or my Kjaer Weis Blush ($56) but for my items I had gift cards so actual out of pocket price was much more bearable!

Wrath: definitely winged liner. A) I can’t do it. B) I never thought it quite suited my eye shape.

Gluttony: I have a fairly diversified collection but I suppose product wise right now it’s lip products but I am hoping to expand my blush collection! ( I literally use two blushes and need more variety!)

    Sloth: washing my makeup brushes!

Pride: mascara! I have blond eyelashes so anything to define my eyes is a big confidence booster for me!

Lust: I don’t have one product specifically. I just want to buy everything on my wish list! There are probably 50+ items on it! (lots of new eye shadows, maybe 12 new blushes, more lip products (ysl included) and some higher end skincare ( really want the omorvicza heros kit).

Envy: hmmmm. Probably winged liner and a smokey eye. I just like to keep my makeup simple and sometimes attempting those two things doesn’t end up so well for me! It just seems to suit other people’s faces better than mine!

This was super fun to play! Thanks Muse!

    • Isabella Muse

glad you enjoyed it kelsey 🙂 thanks for playing! had a good time reading your list!

  • Tiffany

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
I took the plunge during the 20% Sephora sale to get the $76 Glam Glow masks set! I still feel guilty about it, even though I use them and love them.

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Lipstick. Unfortunately my lips dry out so fast, that if I even THINK about putting lipstick on them they will dry out and look horrible. At most I can get 1 hour wear of okay-looking lipstick before my lips are the sahara desert. So until I can figure out how to get past this problem, I mostly just stare at my lipsticks with great sadness. 🙁

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
Maybelline for drug store & Urban Decay for high end.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara. My eyes get irritated easily and eyes take so long and are so hard to remove that I just can’t summon the effort most of the time.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
    Foundation to hide my imperfections.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
The LORAC palettes, the NARS Audacious lipsticks (I have hope they might be a better formula for me than all the others I’ve tried that have failed), and the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette because it smells like chocolate! <3

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
    Lipstick. ='(

  • X-Lydia

Greed: Stila eyeshadow gift sets…lovely for the holidays, but way too glitzy for my everyday life.

Wrath: Mascara; it’s so messy, my lashes are dark and really don’t need it.

Sparkly *anything*. Glitter nail polish is festive, but almost impossible to remove. I can deal with sparkly eye-makeup for parties (see above), but I refuse to wear sparkly/frosted/shimmer lipstick or blush – this isn’t 1987 and I’m not David Bowie. As for bronzers and illuminators…dealbreakers; if a palette or makeup gift set has one, I won’t buy it, no matter what else is in it.

Gluttony: Lipstick Queen and Poppy King lipsticks, especially the sheer reds…I collect them like Pokémon.

Sloth: Multiproduct routines bring out my inner lazy. Cleanser AND toner AND moisturiser AND primer? IMHO the time is better spent on good deeds or nail art experiments.

Pride: Nail art experiments. I’ve received online compliments from pros on some of them.

Lust: Scented bath goodies – the penultimate sensual experience – and scent in general. I love Haus Laboratories and almost everything from Thierry Mugler…but I’ll gladly settle for Love & Toast.

Envy: Cat eye liner looks great on models, but makes me look drunk. I have no idea why.

  • Quinctia

    Fun!

Greed – Since I value palettes as deals since it’s multiple products in one, I’ll go with my most expensive single items. I’ve got two Guerlain Rouge Automatiques…even though Guerlain themselves has more expensive lipsticks, that’s as most as I’ve ever paid for one lone, solitary makeup item. I’ve got an Armani Eyes to Kill that was a couple dollars cheaper, which comes in second place, cost wise.

Wrath: Foundation! Specifically, liquid foundation. Every now and again, I’ll try another liquid foundation, but I’ve never found a formula that’s worked well for me. UD’s has come the closest.

Gluttony: Urban Decay. So much. I’m equal parts happy and sad when they discontinue various products in their color cosmetics…because I’ll never be able to rebuy them, but I can afford to get all the ones they have left. And I buy pretty much all of the non-Naked palettes as soon as they come out–and then about half of the Naked ones I cave on, as well.

BPAL is in second. That’s the only perfume I wear. I’ve tried hundreds and hundreds of their scents, and probably have at least a hundred bottles.

Sloth: I have a lot of eyeliner. I like how I look with eyeliner. Half the time, though, I can’t be bothered. I almost never wear blush, but I don’t particularly like blush, so that’s different.

Pride: My base, foundation/powder. I went years without being someone who wore a lot of makeup, but I still wore something on my face. It’s just nice to know there’s something making any little blemish less noticeable so you don’t have to feel self-conscious about it.

Lust: I keep hoping someone will buy me Guerlain Meteorites for a Christmas gift or something. I cannot bring myself to purchase them, but I’d really, really love to have them. Nearly anything else is cheap enough or useful enough that I buy it if I really want it.

Envy: Probably cat’s eye eyeliner. My eyes do go up a bit at the outer corner, so if I follow my lidline, I do fine, and I actually think I look better when the liner’s a bit wider at the apex of my upper lashline. Cat’s eye on me looks kinda silly/pointless.

…or eyeliner on the waterline. The only thing that lasts more than two minutes on my waterline is kohl powder, and if I wear even that on a super windy day, even that will wear off.

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
Once, after a huge bonus I’ve spend € 500,- on 15 ml eyecream. It was amazing but I will never ever buy it again.

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Bronzer and blush, I just can’t make it work or I haven’t found my hg colour yet.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
Guerlain, I own all of the Rouge G Elixers and a lot of the Rouge G’s and a Rouge Noir. It started with me just being a sucker for build in mirrors for on the go. If you take away the mirror thing they have the best skin products. The foundation with the pearls and the meteorites are amazing.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
I’m with you on the bodylotion. There is just not enough time in the world to do that on a regular basis.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
Highlighter. Without I just look bland.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
    Burberry oxblood anything.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Blush, bronzer and MAC Sin or colours that are alike.

Greed: full 15 pan palette from MAC. I love it, I love customizing it.

Wrath: bronzers. I’m so pale it looks like I juststreaked brown powder on my face.

Gluttony: palettes, eye shadows from all companies. I love them, I love the options, I like the packaging.

Sloth: foundation. I usually just do concealer and powder, which does get weird and dry, but the foundation drives me nuts all day.

Pride: mascara. No matter how badly Ive messed up my shadow, the mascara makes me look and feel better about facing the world.

lust: MAC. So far I’ve gotten eyeshadow, customized for my Casper complexion, face and body and MSF powder, and I love it…I’m so tempted to get everything else.

Envy: complicated eye shadow looks, my eyes are small, not much space to mess around, too many steps and it looks all muddy.

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
Since I don’t have a lot of money to spend on makeup, I think the most I’ve ever spent on a single item is $7, which was the NYX Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer.

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Concealer & eyeshadow. I have hyperpigmentation on both sides of my chin so it’s been super difficult to find something that truly covers it. I love eyeshadow but I’m terrible at applying it. I’m like a 4 year old, especially with dark colors.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
That would be ELF. I have several lipsticks, lip glosses, brushes, and eyeshadow palettes from them.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Sunscreen! I always remember after I put on my foundation!

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?
Mascara and eyeliner. Fake lashes intimidate me so I combine 2 of my favorite mascaras to give me that fake lash look. I pair that with a thin/medium line of eyeliner and I feel great!

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?
Urban Decay & Too Faced Eyeshadow palettes! I recently got a job at Sephora so I really want to use my discount to buy them soon!

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?
Dark/bright lipstick and complicated eyeshadow looks. I feel silly wearing red or plum colored lipstick. I always chicken out and I just wear a pinky beige lipstick. How do people wear like 5+ eyeshadow colors at once?! I can barely pull off 2 or 3!

    This was fun!
