Urban Decay Teases New Moondust Eyeshadow Palette for Fall 2016

You asked and here it is! The all new Moondust palette. A sparkly sneak peek into our Fall lineup. ✨

Urban Decay Fall 2016 rings in a little early today with a little tease of the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Palette. Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow isn’t exactly a new item and the formula has been commonly associated with being rather sheer. It looks like the Moondust Eyeshadow Palette will, in fact, be bringing the pigmentation though with 8 sparkly shades. I feel like Moondust has evolved as the idea for me all started with the Urban Decay Stardust Eyeshadow range in my opinion. These launched in 2010 and later seemed to evolve into “Moondust Eyeshadows” in the Summer of 2013.

Now, with this new palette it looks like the formula gets yet another revamp as the shades appear quite pigmented! Let’s hope so? Because I know I love me some sparkly eyeshadow even though I’ve been playing with a good deal of mattes lately!

The palette is rumored to be $49 and you’ll likely see it upcoming as soon as mid to end of June. I suspect bloggers will be swatching it up shortly!

Pretty wild we’re talking Fall 2016 already right? Yesterday, I got an e-mail from Lorac promoting the Pro Palette 3 as part of the Fall 2016 Collection! In my review, I mentioned it as being a Summer 2016 palette. Oops! Did Lorac Summer 2016 already pass me by?

Time flies in the beauty world, kids!

Let me know what you think of the UD Moondust Palette in the comments!

This has so many of my favorite things: eyeshadows in palette form, a selection of neutrals and colors, and it’s Urban Decay. But if it is frosty or glittery like those Moondust eyeshadow singles, I’m going to take the rare pass on an Urban Decay palette.

It looks different. For me, they might have reformulated as they look bolder than the regular Moondust line! Glitter is there but the shades look a lot more pigmented! Curious if I’m right!

I love the Moondust shadows. I’ve never had one that’s been sheer, & I have the entire line. I guess if you slap it on with no primer or effort, the performance would be pretty poor, but that’s 95% of eye shadows anyways.
I want to see this palette in person, pictures make these shades look not as complex as the singles.

I’m into it! I always wanted them to make a Stardust palette when those were out. And these appear to be different shades than the permanent Moondusts, so it’s worth looking into for me, since there won’t be shade overlap with the four I’ve already got.

I really liked the semi-sheer “shimmering water” effect of the Stardust shadows, and Moondust have been quite similar as you rightly say! I hope these aren’t fully opaque/super pigmented personally – though a little more wouldn’t go amiss – because I love the wash of smooth sparkle the existing eyeshadows give. Either way I already have the money put aside for this! 😀 (totally not already psyched for Christmas events at which I’ll be wearing them…)

Gack! Those all look so pretty. They also look like all new shades! Any ideas how an old gal in her mid 40’s could still wear these? I was in high school in the 80s and don’t want to look like I’m trying to go back. Lol!

Oh girl don’t limited yourself! You can def wear a sheer wash of these. Try wearing a cream base, it’ll make the color more smoother if you have any fine lines/wrinkles!

Oh thank you Muse for this update, though I’m sad you didn’t put it on Pinterest! But I’m so excited for this! I need colorful eyeshadows in my life like I need wifi and moondust eyeshadows are some of my favorite! Please keep us updated on this palette’s release date!
