That One Candle Holder That My Best Friend Made Me Buy

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Well, Fall is here when Bath and Body Works starts slamming us with $12.95 3-Wick Candles and the intricate candle holders that go along with them! Last week, Bath and Body Works has an early Fall Candle Sale with all 3-Wickes marked down to $12.95 (even the Stranger Things Collection)! And this week they they started rolling out the new Fall Decor aka candle holders, Pocketbac holders, etc…!

I swore to myself that I’d remain on my candle ban! I just have WAY too many candles to get through and as tempting as it is to stock up on new ones I’m doing my damn best to remain strong and not give in to temptation. Things were going great. I managed to get through the candle sale without making a purchase. Hell, I even had a 20% off coupon code which would break down the $12.95 candles to $10 bucks and some change.

But…

These Two New Cleansing Balms Are Now Available at Ulta

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Garnier Erase It All Makeup Cleansing Balm with Vitamin C and Garnier Skinactive Makeup Cleansing Balm with Hyaluronic Acid are two new $14.99 cleansing balms that act to break down makeup easily while hydrating and even brightening skin! Both these formulas finally found their way onto ulta.com! There’s a $3.50 off $15 coupon code hang around! Use code 909667 to snag it! If you haven’t read my review yet click over and have a glance as I really like the HA formula!

Garnier Erase It All Makeup Cleansing Balm with Vitamin C
Formulated with Vitamin C this solid cleansing balm acts to remove eye, lip, and face makeup easily. It also acts to leave skin brightener “instantly and over time” according to Garnier.

Garnier Skinactive Makeup Cleansing Balm with Hyaluronic Acid
Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid this formula provides lasting hydration and helps skin to retain moisture giving it a plumped up appearance. Easily breakdown your makeup and cleanse your face with this easy to use balm!

I used to really enjoy trying new cleansing balm formulas but the older I get the more I found myself sticking to my tried and trues. At the moment, I’m love Elemis Naked Cleansing Balm and have been using it since April when I originally discovered they have a fragrance-free formula. Who knew? I’ll probably purchase the Garnier Skinactive Makeup Cleansing Balm with Hyaluronic Acid to review for the blog but if it wasn’t for the blog I’d probably pass over it. I just don’t feel the need to switch up what already works for me ya know?

Also, I’m not a big believer in ingredients like Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, etc…being in my cleansers. Ironically, I’m using a AM cleanser that has Vitamin C but I’m so not convinced it does anything at all. I feel it’s pointless as I’m washing it off so the Vitamin C doesn’t actually stick around on my face. What’s the point? Even having Hyaluronic Acid in my cleanser somehow feels pointless. What do you think? Do appreciate these ingreidnets in your cleansers?

I did purchase and try out the Garnier Skinactive Makeup Cleansing Balm with Hyaluronic Acid which I reviewed in a prior post and I actually loved the formula! It’s soft, rinses clean away, and didn’t leave my skin tight or dry after use plus it removed my makeup easily. This one was very worth trying!

This Dermalogica Eye Mask is On Sale So Why Not Try It?

I’ve been wanting to try Dermalogica for as long as I’ve been shopping at Ulta. And that’s a while. But some reason or another my relationship with Dermalogica never developed and I have not tried a single product from the line. I’ve read plenty about it and most was positive but here I am still a Dermalogica virgin. Do you have favorites from the line? Any recommendations? Sephora has a few items on sale and and two that are on sale seem interesting. And hey, being on sale I thought it would be a great time to dig in!

The first item on sale is the Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift Mask which seemed like my beloved Hourglass Equilibrium Instant Plumping Eye Mask. I went ahead and swatched this at Ulta to see what I was getting myself into and it seems quite moisturizing! It’s a cool eye mask meant to depuff and lord knows I have puffy eyes. It has has fermented yeast to lift and it promises to brighten as well! You’re supposed to massage it on (it comes with a cooling massage applicator) and leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes and tissue off the rest. Hourglass’s version actually works in a similar fashion but you know me, I’ll slather it on and just leave it on because lord knows these dry eyes need a helping hand!

It can’t hurt to try it right? Have you tried this eye mask? What were your results? Do share!

Urban Decay’s The Original Naked Eyeshadow Palette Returns Here’s Why It Shouldn’t Come Back

On August 4th, just in time for Back to School, the original Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette will be making a comeback! It returns to Ulta and ulta.com on this date and will be available for $59 and includes the same iconic lineup of 12 neutral, natural shades of color. I’d go so far as to say the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow gave birth to the brown and nude eyeshadow palette revolution! It brought brown eyeshadow into the spotlight, and with its introduction, hundreds of other nude, natural palettes came to be. Hey, there was even a Victoria’s Naked Eyeshadow Palette which Urban Decay sued Victoria’s Secret over as they own the copyright to “naked” in the makeup world! They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but Victoria’s Secret probably went a bit too far with their version! Urban Decay Naked was discontinued a mere six years ago, but I’m aghast that people in their early to late twenties are on Tiktok are saying how excited they are about its return because they didn’t get a chance to buy it when it was around a few years ago. This reinforces the fact I’m getting old, as who would think Urban Decay’s Naked Eyeshadow Palette is such a “vintage” item?

Anyway, Naked went out with a bang when it did go! We had a funeral with Nicole Richie, who was doing a farewell eulogy. But Urban Decay wasn’t done with Naked completely! Since then, the Naked name has carried on with releases like the Naked Wild West Eyeshadow Palette, Naked Metal Mania Eyeshadow Palette, Naked Cyber Eyeshadow Palette, and many more. But I don’t think anyone, not even Urban Decay themselves, can recreate the magic that was the original Naked Eyeshadow Palette.

If You Like Cherries This Month’s Lush Kitchen Box is for You

The latest Lush Kitchen Box is about to drop BUT you need to get your order in before July 31st to get in on the Lush September Kitchen Box! What is the Kitchen Box? Well, it’s a not subscription, subscription box. What that means is you can order any box you like without the demands of a normal subscription box that ships a new box automatically. See a box you like? Add to cart, pay, and in a month or so you’ll get the box! Don’t like the box on offer currently? No problem! Skip it! You’re never charged automatically and have the choice which box you can box! The sad part is the items are limited-edition in each box and getting a box full of items I’ll potentially love and never have access to again is such a toxic romance.

September Box is now available and there are two options either shower or bath and both include a new Cherry Pop Shower Gel! I’m dying about this!
