Anastasia Beverly Hills Blurring Serum Blush Ready to Take on Summer Or Not?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Well, we have another Summer 2024 Blush arriving today! Meet the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Blurring Serum Blush that’s giving off Iconic London Sheer Cream Blush and L’Oreal Glow Paradise Lip and Cheek Tint vibes!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Blurring Serum Blush ($25) are available in five shade selections and promise a soft-matte yet radiant blurred finish. They have a lightweight, gel-like formula that apparently has serum benefits like Niacinamide to smooth and brighten skin. It sounds like the formula works like a sticky primer as they promise it “grips to skin” for long wear and the soft-matte blurred finish has a seamless finish on skin that diffuses imperfections and creates a smooth, even finish on the skin.

Shades include:
Guava (peachy pink)
Baby Pink (cool-toned pink)
Peach (bright peach)
Hibiscus (bright pink coral
Plum (bright plum)

So, yeah, I have to be the killjoy here and say I won’t be purchasing these. I’m really into radiant blushes for Summer and these sound rather flat and boring! Even the shades look sort of pastel and milky. I could be wrong about that so, I’ll happily take back and eat my words if I am. But I’m seeing way nicer releases in the blush world this Summer and these just aren’t it. For example, why are more people not talking about how stunning L’Oreal Lumi Le Liquid Blushes are? Take my $15 for those versus $25 for these new Blurring Serum Blushes!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Blurring Serum Blush is available now.

Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’48 Perfume Mist Is Coming But Is It Too Much Now?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The newest Sol de Janeiro Perfume Mist for Summer 2024 has leaked in stores and online, but is it too much now? Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’48 Perfume Mist is a new mini mist that has been confirmed as an Ulta exclusive with notes of nectar, orchard, and pink musk notes. According to Ulta’s website it will be available June 20 online at ulta.com and in Store June 23rd. It will be available in 3 oz and 8 oz sizes from $24 to $38.

Update: If it’s on your wish list it launched today exclusively at ulta.com in both the 3 and 8 oz sizes!

Full fragrance notes include:
Top: Guava Nectar, Coconut Water
Mid: Sunlit Orchid, Lemon Twist, Wild Orris
Dry: Pink Musk, Vanilla Cloud

Fragrance fans think it might smell like Sol de Janeiro Bikini Season Perfume Mist, part of the limited-edition Summer 2023 and the first round-up LE scents the brand ever did. The scent may be coming under a new name, as we saw happen with Rio Radiance, which was initially introduced as Tan Lines in 2022. This is now confirmed via Ulta’s Instagram account! It is indeed Bikini Season and is being repromoted under the name permanent name, Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’48.

The real question, though, would be, is Sol de Janeiro doing too much now? They recently introduced three more limited-edition scents for Summer 2024. Those scents were Summer e Amor, Beijos del Sol, and Carioca Crush, which came out a few weeks ago. And we just got Delicia (which doesn’t attract spiders, I promise) a few months before those! I can’t lie and say I didn’t love it when Sol de Janeiro was taking it slow with releasing new products. Why? Because the scents seem more unique, memorable, and different than what they are currently doing.

I understand striking while the iron is hot. Sol de Janeiro is HOT right now, but don’t forsake quality when doing these launches. I fear that’s exactly what they are doing, as I wasn’t all that into the last few scents they launched. For example, After Hours was just a meh for me. It just didn’t have the tropical vibe that the brand stands for.

I’m disappointed that Sol de Janeiro ’48 Perfume Mist is a rerun fragrance. Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’48 launches is available now at Ulta!
What do you think of this new launch?
