Who Asked for the Too Faced Born This Way Matte Formula?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Ok, fess up my oily friends who asked for matte version of Too Face Born This Way? If you did, it’s a thing now! Too Faced Born This Way Soft Matte Foundation is a new oil control foundation that promises up to 24 hours of wear (I’m so tired of the 24 hour wear marketing, can’t it be over already?). Available in 30 shades is $46, wait, what? $46? When did Born This Way Foundation cost that much. Someone help me out, what was the original price when it launched? I love be some Born this Way Foundation but I can’t remember paying $46 big ones for it. That’s near $50 bucks! We’re headed into the danger zone with that price tag. Hot damn! Gimme a sec to digest that…!

Ok, on to the details! What’s so great about Too Faced Born This Way Soft Matte Foundation well, it’s matte for one thing! The original formula is ultra creamy and has a beautifully hydrating formula. But this new version soft non-drying matte finish that provides oil control. It’s medium to full coverage and provides water, humid, and sweatproof formula. Where as the original comes in a glass plump this new version comes in a tube with an attached pump for easy application (it kind of reminds me of It Cosmetics CC Cream but with that Milani gold and black packaging theme!). This launch comes at just the right time as it will work to keep oil and shine at bay in the Summer sun! Do I need it? Not really. I’m surprisingly dry this this Summer. I normally get a bit more oily in the Summer but this year, my skin is a bit drier and I’m still on moisture mode. That being said, I’m sure I can get away with trying this as soft matte finishes do work for me as long as I prep well!

Too Faced Born This Way Soft Matte Foundation is available now! Is it something you want to try out?

How To Get Newly Released Makeup At a Discount

Picture it. The latest lipgloss just launched, and everyone is going crazy. Your logical side reminds you that you already have hundreds of lipglosses. But your illogical side eggs you on to buy it. And you drop 24+ dollars on a new lipgloss before you can blink an eyelash. We’ve all been there. We all understand.

But let me show you how you can get newly released makeup at a discount (or even skincare and fragrance). Mind you, it won’t always work, and sometimes, you may even have to be patient, but you might be surprised when I tell you how to get that brand-new lipgloss at a steal.

Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale Starts June 12th

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Mark those calendars because the Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale starts tomorrow, June 12th. Snag up to 75% off fragrance, body care, bras, and more at victoriassecret.com and in stores. Last year, the sale started late, and for a second, I thought it wasn’t happening at all! Sadly, like the Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale, it sucked last year, but I still oddly look forward to it as it’s a great time to grab perfumes that you didn’t want to pay the total price for or to stock up on fragrance mists and body lotions at a considerable discount. I find as I get older, I don’t want to pay the total price for them since they are so damn weak! I don’t know if I need to run to the store, but I’ll browse online tomorrow and see what pops up!

Are you excited about the Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale?

Everyone and Their Mom Has Bronzing Drops Including Milani

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Drunk Elephant is sobbing in a corner somewhere as more and more brands introduce affordable bronzing drops! E.L.F. just dropped $12 Bronzing Drops on us and Makeup Revolution came sliding in with Bright Light Bronzing Drops. Now we got Milani Conceal + Perfect Sun Kissed Liquid Bronze Drops which are actually priced a little high at $17 but hey, Drunk Elephant’s formula is $38 so still cheaper than that right? If the name seems familiar that’s because Milani has taken that sh1t and ran with it like Tarte Shape Tape. It all started with the Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation Concealer but since that time they’ve released Conceal + Perfect Concealer, Conceal + Perfect Powder, Conceal + Perfect Contouring and Highlighting Wands, and on and on and on…! I guess if the name sells why not use it in every single product you release.

Milani Conceal + Perfect Sun Kissed Liquid Bronze Drops are available in three shade selections and promise a weightless and easy to blend formula that’s hydrating and gives you a “vacation glow”. These are sheer so don’t expect a major bronzing experience but they do have enough pigment to give add warmth to your skin! They’re apparently formulated with copper peptides as well and Hyaluronic Acid and 2% glycerin. Sounds super hydrating! They also contact cocoa extract! I guess that means they’ll smell chocolatey!

I’m not a HUGE fan of bronzer but I have to admit bronzing drops are probably the easiest way to apply it. They really do work great to add natural warmth to skin without turning you orange or too unnaturally bronze. If you’re having a “clean girl” moment and like a more natural look they are perfect to use on their own with a little bit of cream blush or a blush tint or stain! Although, I gotta admit, the $17 price tag is shocking me, Milani!
