Truly Birthday Sex Perfume Mist Review

5 stars out of 5

Truly Birthday Sex Perfume Mist is one of three brand new perfumes that Truly Beauty released earlier this month. These actually popped up on Ulta’s website several weeks ago (back in the Summer) but they weren’t showing in stock for a while and suddenly one day this month they suddenly popped up and I immediately ran over to purchase all three of them. I happen to love the Unicorn Fruit Eau de Parfum that Truly put out and I recently purchased their newest launch which was the Coco Cloud Eau de Parfum.

Accordingly to Truly the Birthday Sex Perfume is a sweet, seductive, flirty fragrance with notes of jasmine and saffron. I immediately went there when I saw saffron! Right away BR540 dupe flashed before my eyes. Saffron is a pretty unique note and I’ve seen it in few fragrances and one of the most famous is of course, Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540.

Was I right?

3 stars out of 5

Scooby Doo x Wet n Wild Puppy Power Cream Blush ($6.98) is a new, limited-edition cream blush that launched in two shades with the Scooby Doo x Wet n Wild Makeup Collection recently. I picked up the shade It’s Paw-ty Time which is a vibrant orange peach. The packaging reminds me of the old Lorac Blush Stamps and the newer Kaja Cheeky Stamps!

Natasha Denona Xenon Eyeshadow Palette Shall Not Pass

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Sadly, the new, Holiday 2023 Natasha Denona Xenon Eyeshadow Palette shall not pass. This new, Holiday 2023 Eyeshadow Palette launch is pretty much the ultimate smoky eye essential palette with 15 different shades of shadow to create the most elaborate and dramatic of smoky eyes. It’s a color extension of Natasha’s popular Mini Xenon Palette with sparkling silvers, pinks, nudes, grays, and dramatic blacks. The ultimate for a classic smoky eye or a more soft, sultry smoky look. But sadly, like the new Mini Triochrome Eyeshadow Palette my eyes just can’t handle this much drama! I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten puffier, I’ve gotten finer lines…and smoky eyes just aren’t something I embrace anymore (I didn’t really do them all that much back in the day either).

This isn’t a traditional Holiday Palette color story but you can’t deny that a good smoky eye is a go for any occasion especially during fancy Holiday events, parties, and gatherings. If you have a healthy night life this is a palette that will get you through it. Plus it’ll work great for softer office day looks as well.

I’m personally not up for it. It’s a little too bold and dramatic for me. I’ve never been a traditional black smoky eye girl instead opting for green or brown smoky looks instead. It’s very pretty, bold, and dare I say even a bit different as we haven’t really seen a lot of brands just throw it all in for a completely massive black, silver, and grey eye palette of this size outside of the Urban Decay Naked Smokey Eyeshadow Palette and are I say this is way more pigmented and bolder if promo images are anything to go by! P.S. If you’re yearning for this and can’t see yourself using that many bold shades the original Mini Xenon Eyeshadow Palette is still very much available and offers up five shades to create a perfect smoky eye. It seems a lot easier to use in my opinion versus 15 of ’em! Plus it’s a bit cheaper at $27!

Natasha Denona Xenon Eyeshadow Palette is available October 22nd exclusively Ulta and Sephora October 23rd for $69.

Physicians Formula Eye Booster Eye Lifter to Contour Your Eyes?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Physicians Formula Eye Booster Eye Lifter ($12.49) us apparently going to elongate, lift, and brighten your eyes instantly. It’s a contouring tool for your eyes! The 2-in-1 cream eyeshadow stick and liquid eyeshadow helps to brighten and illuminate eyes! Use it the cream shadow stick to contour the eye area and add dimension and highlight with the liquid eyeshadow portion for a more lifted appearance.

This little duo has a “high-tech formula” containing our unique Eye-Boosting Complex and a Tri-Peptide Blend to enhance the appearance of eyes while providing a subtle lifting effect. What do I think of it?

I don’t need it. Sorry…! Eep! I looked at the before and after pictures and I don’t really understand the effect that Physicians Formula is going for. If anything the model looked better without this on her eyes. They have this weird faded out winged eye look going on at the outer ends of eyes with a strange smudged up thing going on around her lids. I’m not sure what is happening with this. How do you use the Physicians Formula Eye Booster Eyelifter? They have a little three step how-to and in it they seem to cut the crease and wing the shadow out but it looks messy and not “lifted” or “highlighted”. I oddly find the before and after photo incredibly photo as I’ve never run across a before and after photo where the before photo was way better than the after.

Do we really need to contour our eyes now? I’m not sure we do. There are a lot of products on the market that actually sort of lift the brow area which work pretty good like Benefit High Brow Duo Pencil which is actually a wonderful way to give your eyes a more rested look! Physicians Formula Eye Booster Eye Lifter feels like it got a little lost what it wants to be.

I dunno! Who knows maybe people will adore this launch! I’m just confused by it. How about you?

Physicians Formula Eye Booster Eye Lifter is available now!

Here’s What I’m Buying During the Sephora Holiday Savings Event Part 1

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I don’t need these but I really want these. Anyone see the new Herbivore Coco Mint Exfoliating Body Scrub and Hot Coco Exfoliating Body Scrub? I just saw them and immediately clicked add to cart. Somehow, someway I’m still Sephora Rouge (I doubt I will be next year) so, I’ll be able to snag them at 20% off during the Sephora Holiday Savings Event. I’m on some sort of mission to snatch up every body scrub that in existence as the cold weather sets in and turns my skin into a scaly, dry mess.

Me:

I’m obviously not doing so well saying no to all the latest Holiday Bath and Body stuff launching. I just hauled some of the Tree Hut Holiday Collection, some Hempz Vanilla Frosted Mountain Body Lotion, and I did a Twisted Allure haul as well.

Do I need more scrubs? Yeah, yeah I need more. Coco Mint smells liked crushed candy canes and Hot Coco smells like warm hot chocolate! I mean, come on! How do I say no to that? Each scrub is $24 and available for a limited time this Holiday Season! I was thinking I’d wait for an Herbivore to haul these two but honestly, there sales are around 25% off the highest and I’m feeling a little Veruca Salt-like and want them now so, I may just indulge during the sale. But it may be just the Hot Coco one since I do already have Tree Hut Candy Cane everything!

What do you think of these two? Pass or buy?
