Silicon-Free Primer: Korres Quercetin & Oak Age Reversing Primer Review
I had to go google quercetin recently. I had no idea what it was. Turns out quercetin is found in apples and red onions and is a powerful natural anti-oxidant.
You know why that’s good? Because my skin seems to really dig on anything that has anti-oxidants in it lately. I’m using this new moisturizer that’s packed with anti-oxidants and my skin fairly glows thanks to it.
Anyway.
Most important news of all is that Korres has a brand new primer out that’s packed full of quercetin.
Check it!
Korres took it’s popular silicon-free primer and created a brand new anti-aging primer in it’s place.
Korres Quercetin & Oak Age Reversing Primer is a new powerful treatment as well as a skin-perfecting face primer in one. It’s supposed to instantly fill fine lines while providing a smooth workable canvas for makeup.
The formula is enriched with antioxidant Quercetin and Oak extracts that supposedly improve skin cell functioning, repair fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin texture and elasticity. And of course our favorite ingredient of all, Hyaluronic acid, forms a protective shield on the skin, providing immediate moisture and increasing skin elasticity while Barley extract instantly fills wrinkles and refines pores.
What did I think?
I loves it.
Here’s the thing I love the original Korres Primer simply because it’s free of silicons. I can’t stand silicon primers because my dry skin just doesn’t like them. If you’re in the, “I can’t stand silicon primer” boat you’re going to want to give this a whirl particularly because of the age reversing formula. This will take over from the original version since I’m at an age that I can appreciate anything that will reverse the signs of aging.
The formula is a smooth, moisturizing, very light cream that’s scented with oranges. It preps, primes, and creates a moist, even layer to skin in preparation for foundation. I find my foundation lasts a little longer due to this and shows a longer wear thanks to the fact that extra moisture it provides stops my base from oxidizing quickly. One thing I noted with the new formula is it provides even more lasting moisture possibly due to the Hyaluronic acid in the mix.
In regards to fine lines, wrinkles, etc…..I can’t say I see anything being filled as I don’t have these problems on my face. However, it works quite nicely when a little is patted beneath my eyes and followed up with my concealer. My concealer looks fresher and wears longer.
One thing that is fairly noticeable is my skin looks considerably better and isn’t as dull as it normally is when used in conjunction with a good base. This is one reason I will purchase again as anything that can easily erase the certain dullness that plagues my tired skin is well worth it’s weight in gold.
Overall, it’s silicon-free formula, ability to make my skin look and feel fresher, benefits of added moisture, and the way it keeps my foundation fresh all has me quite excited about the new Korres Quercetin & Oak Age Reversing Primer. This new version will take over from the original Korres Primer I normally use and I will purchase again since I loved the results so much.
If you’re already a lover of Korres Primer, I’d highly suggest trying out the new version particularly for those in their late twenties or early thirties who are just starting to experience the woes of dull skin, fine lines, and the need for extra moisture.
Loves it, very much a Muse Approval for purchase. It’ll make your face glow!
